This could be the new bitcoin for all we know. This is a vehicle that was sold for 1.3 Million just a couple of months ago. It is well with Nigeria, Nigerians and the Naira oooo Just wait till Jan Feb, the likelihood that you will pay 1.2m for this car is there. |

Blackmailers... and liars would come out and start testifying watin dem no see... He is lucky we are living in a jungle. I beg to differ. Gbaja did not employ the dss official. The shooter was assigned to his office by the dss. Trained and paid by the dss. For all you know Gbaja does not even know the fellow. The truth of the matter is that this case is a no brainer. Gbaja did the right thing morally by visiting and commensurating with the family and offering assistance with burial and upkeep. The dss bears full responsibility. That SAN is just making noise and certainly knows better. |

Trustme2: Keep deceiving yourself. 1$=484 as at today and may get to N500 before Dec owing to increased demand during the festive season. Customs reductions is not for luxury cars but for cars used in Public transportation. Government that's looking for how to raise revenue to fund budget will reduce custom duty ba? You better buy now before prices go up. Have you forgotten the promise to reduce fuel pump price? What's happening today? Your guess is as good as mine . Customs reduction to 5% is for passenger cars as well. Besides cars are usually cheaper Jan, Feb because of influx of abroad people during Chrismas and those that will need to sell their cars to return to their base. There certainly will be a reasonable reduction in price of cars by January. |

Nfora: Liar!
There is no where in Nigeria that people pay 30k per month as council tax.
And by the way tax is charged as a percentage of your income,so the low level of income is not an excuse for not paying tax.
The higher your income, the higher the absolute value of tax paid.
The guy paying 30k council tax might be paying lower or higher than others, depending on income. Since you decided to use the word liar I will also address you that way. Dont be silly Did the UK person say he pays council tax monthly? Abi you cannot read and understand? Did I say I pay monthly? Why add monthly? I said I pay between 20-30k! And that is yearly silly. |

Hot cars like this corolla should have minimum of 2 trackers. The decoy one and a main one. The decoy one could be the one that is expensive and connected to the electrical system. Ie the one that can disable the car. That is the one criminals search for and disconnect. You should then have the principal one. It could be one of those cheap ones on aliexpress 5-10$. You can "plug and play" into your obd 11 port or even your cigarette lighter. Anyway hopefully you get you car back IJN. |
Travel › Re: Why Don't We Have These Kind Of Streets In Nigeria? by bendike: 1:20pm On Nov 23, 2020 |
PhiliptheArab: We don't have these kind of streets in nigeria because we are not ready to pay the kind of taxes that would fund and maintain those kind of streets.
In the UK, if you are living in the city, you pay council tax which ranges from 60000 to 100000 naira monthly depending on the city. That money goes into making the cities look nice
That's why uk cities have great streets.
If we charged that kind of tax in Nigeria, Nigerians would scream.
So we pay scanty taxes and get scanty and bad roads
The bad roads we have in Nigeria are what we can afford. The sad thing is that looting still happens on top You pay council tax of betw 60 to 100k in UK relative to your income. How much is advarage wage in the UK compared to Nigeria? Who told you we do not pay council tax in naija. I pay 20-30k. I pay 60k (also under the council) to psp yearly for refuse collection etc. Land use charges nko. That one is another matter. Bottomline we pay taxes to local government in Nigeria. What the taxes are used for is what we should ask. The councils generate billions from us. |

Osibanjo has no executive powers, he is just a boy boy for now ie a yes man that has to put up or be made to sit on the kiddies seat. His potentials have not be made to shine. Abi you want him to outshine the oga? If osibanjo were president, the end Sars protest and subsequent destruction will not have taken place. Remember when oga had ear problems and was in London osibanjo banned Sars from the roads, they complied. He removed that dss boss that made them storm national assembly etc. The whole country became calm and naira even appreciated against the usd. But immediately oga returned all went back to status quo. Roofai is an extreemist. Osibanjo can never control him. |

leisuretym: How? Unemployment is at it's peak and you went to sign agreement to import refined petroleum product to nigeria when you have crude oil! Providing jobs for Nigeriens when your own youth are unemployed! You even did it at the cost of incuring billions naira of debt They will never allow our refinaries to work. They rather import and make commissions. How come Niger a 10th world country can effectively run a refinary and a big for nothing naija cannot run just 1? Doesn't it mean we are a big for nothing country just like hadesina, a bofun? We spend 87b on refinary and refine 0 liters of oil! Meanwhile 87b will build a refinary bigger that that owned by Niger republic This is what you call fantastical corruption! |

SaintLucia: They will enter night buses from their village to Lagos. They will receive their parents blessing to be successful in Lagos and their parents will tell them not to forget their siblings when things turnaround good for them in Lagos. These are people that couldn't make it in their states before they arrived Lagos. Some of them will later become successful in Lagos only for them to start cursing the man "Jagaban" who built Lagos through his vision instead of their own state governors who sent them out as refugees.
Name one yeyebrity that used to live in Lekki, Ajah, Banana Island before Tinubu became governor and win yourself a gift. Those places were bushes, Jagaban built and developed those areas through his vision. All mouth as usual, with no substance. The traits are alway evident. You talk of Lagos, the earlier indigenes empower themselves economically the better if not you will only talk online but facts on the ground will be different. Houses and lands will be bought by those who hold economic means ie money. Heck, on my street alone 90% of the landlords have sold and relocated to their villages or passed on and their kids sold their houses. 100% have been bought by guess who? Stay there and be talking, you will soon move to ogun state. |
