PoliticsRe: APC Is Winning The Numbers Game by Bensonite: 4:33pm On Dec 27, 2013
APC is nothing but disappointment to the undecided electorates. They dine with the people they tagged criminals in the recent past just to increase their elites thief numbers. If politics is all about numbers so why not woe the market women or farmers with better alternatives rather than cheap blackmail. So 14 years of PDP rule is no longer corrupt except GEJ?

Mazi_Omenuko: More than 40 oil wells belonging to the Etche and kalabiri ancient kingdom was ceded to Bayelsa state unjustly. What lies are you claiming he toldhuh
Bros,
Etche do not share boundary with Bayelsa, so if really Rivers lost oil wells from Etche axis then certainly Imo state benefitted from it. I believe Imo state is ruled by APC. Recall Rivers also took 76 oil wells from Akwa Ibom. So this propaganda does sell any more! He summed it by saying they are positioning themselves for 2015 as We in Rivers State did not send him stupid message.

Mowire: An interesting analysis. But I believe that a well laid out cost-benefit analysis will defeat the conclusions drawn by Obanikoro in this article.
And I think his critical thinking should include alternative ways out:or should that road that has become too important for Lagos economic plans be abandoned?
Explain how a well laid out cost-benefit analysis flaws the conclusion made on the article. The premise for that conclusion has undoubtedly establish monumental fraud committed by LASG and her allies and should be the real worry. Who is bearing the extra cost you mentioned?

talktimi: first of all there's a difference between a bold person and a careless talker which is what Amaechi is. Amaechi was speaker of the Rivers house of assembly during the blood sucking period you talk about for the complete 8yrs of Odili's tenure and so was actively involved in all atrocities commited then. The only reason Amaechi seems so saintly now & you dont see him amongst them is because he had a falling out with Odili due to the 2007 primaries where his name was substituted for Omehia's own and not due to any righteous desire to serve Rivers people. As at the 2011 elections, Wike who was his then chief of staff delivered Rivers state council by council to Amaechi and that is an undisputed fact.
Bros,
Well said. Let me add this. As bad as Wike is /or portrayed He is one man that serves the interest of his master with so much zeal and commitment no matter how evil his deeds will be. I recall because I know for sure, Wike lodged the ACN party chairman in government house on the day of governorship election in Rivers state hence had a free day to rig excessively in some areas for Amaechi. He was good then to Amaechi but now been hired by GEJ to do the dirty job He is known for and He is bad according to Amaechi.

Akainzo: Comprehension is your problem. The guy said he was seeing those pictures from the early 70s thus I stated the completion dates for the various projects in the pics.

Therefore as Amaechi was sworn-in in October 2007, the earliest he could have completed that school would be 2007, implying the poster lied about seeing that project in the 70s. Hope I have increased your comprehension skills today!

Hmm, I can't say if Odili renovated the secretarial considering the amount of work that Amaechi put into it. It is however easy to ask the civil servants that Are Praising Amaechi for the good work done to make their work environment a worthy place.

Nope, 1 out of 4 is definitely better than the blanket statement of them having being around bandied by that poster. Rather it is the rejoinder that wants to deceive.

Guy,
It is clear you are the one lacking comprehension skills. I have no time for your type. Take time to read your post if it makes sense to you.
Set of pictures were posted to suggest Amaechi achievement and one of which was noted to have been completed in the early 70s.You put a poor defence claiming Pic 1 was completed in 2007(big lie) and again that He meant Pic 3 was renovated by Amaechi(big lie again as you recent post shows you are not sure who renovated the secretariat)
Please take time to go through your comprehension lessons again.

Akainzo: The guy posted 4 pictures, which one of them apart from the state Secretariat were you seeing in the 70shuh

Pic 1: One of the new schools built by Amaechi (earliest 2007)

Pic 2: The new Dental facility at Garrison (completed 2013)

Pic 3: The renovated Rivers State Secretariat. (built in the 70s)

Pic 4: Completed road markings. (Completed in 2013)

I am waiting.
Guys,
Please lie small:
You claimed Pic 1 is one of the new schools built by Amaechi(earliest 2007). For your information, Amaechi was sworn-in 25th October, 2007 and did not start or complete any school that year.
Pic 3: The guy did not say renovated state secretariat hence the intension was to deceive NL who do not know this was built in the early 70s. Infact as bad as Peter Odili is he was the one that renovated the secretariat complex not Amaechi.

Symphony007: So you all know that i'm not a bitter, constant persimist or jonathan hated. I am currently watching the commissioning of the geregu power station in kogi by pres. Jonathan. It is quite an impressive facility and will no doubt give a boost to our power situation. When good things happen in our country, we should be glad but constructive critisim should not be looked upon as being anti-jonathan.

You can watch it live on NTA or AIT.
Bros we know you only took sides when Amaechi vs GEJ started. NL knows the real people that have the pull him down mentality because of his tribe. For them everything associated with him is evil so long as its not their tribes man or affiliate. The key point is constructive criticism no matter who is involved.
PoliticsRe: Fresh Plot Against Gov Amechi by Bensonite: 7:59pm On Sep 30, 2013
I am critic of Amaechi attitude not performance. He is 100 times more prudent and circumspect in spending than Odili yet Odili walks freely. If this information of probe is true, He has enough projects to show for the money spent except Wike reveals real dirty deals of the past.

phantom: RSG Plans New Bridge For Slaughter-Woji Road

Posted by Collins Barasimeye on May 1st, 2013 and filed under Transport. You can follow any responses to this entry through the RSS 2.0. Both comments and pings are currently closed.

The Rivers State Government will soon construct a new dual-carriage bridge by the side of the Trans-Amadi/Slaughter/Woji Road in Port Harcourt.

The Commissioner for Works, Hon. Victor Giadom disclosed this during a fact-finding trip to the Slaughter-Woji bridge with a team of engineers, journalists and other stakeholders over a report in a social media that the bridge is defective.

Hon. Giadom, who debunked the report said the construction of a new dual-carriage bridge does not mean that the present one is faulty, stressing that, “it is in good state and may not be used for beautification on completion of the new one.”

According to him, the construction of the new bridge was expected to commence in 30 days time, adding that, “we expected to build another bridge on the Elelenwo axis of the road and flyover at Garrison.

Drawing the attention of the team to the publication and the standing bridge, the Ministry of Works boss said, “you can see things for yourself,” and described the information as malicious which was being propelled by people who do not mean well for the state.

He said the columns are standing firm and not slanting as falsely projected by the social media report on internet, pointing out that the state government did a routine maintenance of the bridge in 2010 by engaging the services of Stemco Nig Ltd, and wondered why detractors should fabricate such falsehood.

He also enjoined the public not to believe the malicious report on the social media over the bridge, advising them to confidently use the bridge as it was in good condition.

On the Abuloma/Woji bridge, the commissioner said it had been completed, explaining that what the contractors were doing now was to build the retaining walls through the length of the bridge.

Hon. Giadom further disclosed that movement on the bridge from Peter Odili road to Woji would commence in the next six months.

In their separate speeches, the Managing Director of JDP Construction Company, the company handling the bridge project, Engr. Erez Barzilai and the Director Civil Engineering, Ministry of works, Engr Godpower Maeba assured that the bridge is not slanting or tilted to any side as purportedly reported in the social media, saying, “it stands firm”.

“There is no risk or problem about the bridge at present. The bridge can serve”, said Engr Barzilai, while Engr Maeba noted that, “what you saw at the internet is all manipulation, as we were here this morning, we were able to confirm that the bridge was structurally stable and can last for the next 20 years.

garrison should have had a flyover from time immemorial.it was actuall in the first PH masterplan.dont know why okilo abandoned it. undecided undecided
Fly over at garrison will be more than great but I am wondering how traffic will be managed during the construction period which will obviously take years to complete. My take is create as much interconnected roads on streets around that axis as much as possible to create alternative route before such massive project.
EducationRe: Redeemer’s University Produces 20 First Class by Bensonite: 3:27pm On Sep 26, 2013
20 first class out of 519 graduands is poor. That represents 4% only. A good school should have upto 10% and no more than 20% to boost of quality teaching and learning. That the failed state and federal universities have far less does not make them better in anyway as we all know the true story why it has always been so.
PoliticsRe: Rivers State VS Rwanda: Why Amaechi Should Is An Underachiever by Bensonite: 2:37pm On Sep 23, 2013
Symphony007: ameachi has been wastefull, he is wasting money on a monorail which has no focus, buying government jets and even demolishing some part of port harcourt without any plan for it, but compared with the goat called peter odili who ruled rivers state for 8 years and his most significant achievement, the airforce bridge collapsed last month, ameachi is better. At lease he has given rivers people a considerable run for their money. So it infuriates me when he is being persecuted while odili, a man whoes loot makes ibori's look like chicken change, is now a buddy of goodluck jonathan, with his wife on the supreme court, thanks to jonathan.
Symphony007,
Did you really say Amaechi has been wasteful. I am happy you are been truthful atleast for the monorail, jet, etc. For your information, the airforce bridge collapsed exactly one year ago(23rd September, 2012) though rebuilt slowly but a million times better than what Odili left for us. For those of you showing us heliconia park, novotel etc as achievement of CRA are just economical with the truth. Amaechi has relatively done well in the Nigerian scale but you don't have to show us structures built by Spiff. Atleast some of us have been in PH for over 4 decades.
I think the OP made valid comparison using verifiable statistics and so why bring in Odili(useless governor into the equation). It is rather an indictment to the entire country as to how we judiciously we utilize resources to the benefit of the masses.

What does the video show? Only a few shots without adequate proof to convince a neutral mind. With the polarization of PDP, we expect to see more than 16 governors in that meeting knowing fully well number matters. 11 oppositions governors plus 7 PDP rebel governors should have atleast made 18.

PoliticsRe: Baraje-led PDP Launches Secretariat In Port-Harcourt by Bensonite: 2:41pm On Sep 13, 2013
1MCN: If Amaechi comes out of this unbruised, then at least he must have lost plenty of energy. I said it earlier that when opposition was cheering him up it wasn't as if they liked him so much and would want him in their fold, they just loved it that he was fighting their percieved enemy, GEJ. All Amaechi's political property are packed in the PDP, if he goes away he'll be "destituted".

Mrs Ibim Seminitari, his Commissioner of Information is now growing tired of defending the governor's actions and utterances. When she talks on tv and radio these days she stammers.
You are quite conversant of what is going unlike most folks here who don't. There was a serious reconciliatory meeting two days back though everyone was asked to keep cool but GEJ cabinet shake up was speculated to mean another onslaught on the so-called nPDP.
As for Ibim Seminitari, no doubt, She is now working far more than the commissioner of works. This is the sad part of the crisis!

Okija_juju: Where he is from now is no longer important..

The important thing here is;

1. Justice must be given to all.. Justice for the Speaker of the House of Assembly|Justice for the assault on Chidi Lloyd by Bipi|Justice for Ihunwo|Justice for Rivers State Government..

2. CP Mbu, Bipi, Ihunwo and the other 5 should also be facing trial not just the pro Amaechi group.

He shall remain in the custody of Rivers People until we see true unbiased justice being served..
I only corrected you sha!

He is a Rivers Man and Rivers State will take care of its own. Mbu on the other hand should be careful. Amaechi is rising in his profile and would end up in Aso Rock one day. When that day comes, its game over for Mbu..

SAI Amaechi...
The police man is not from Rivers but Bayelsa. Secondly, He was flown out of the country due to some injury and has since returned but vow not to show up for obvious reasons.

REHOZIBAH: As a staunch anti-PDP, if indeed they succeed in forcing this down the throat of the entire members of that party wherein a 'consensus' is agreed without any dissent...as a stickler for rules and guidelines then I would not see anything wrong in that...but if it is done with a view to shutting out some people and those people duely protest as Soludo is presently doing in APGA.....then PDP would have shot itself in the foot.

Even in the height of Obasanjo's dictatorship, the party ticket wasn't handed to him on a platter of Diamond but something tells me GEJ is jittery and doesn't brook fair contest hence his support of anything to cow voice of dissent as it is the case with Amaechi
I don't belong to a political party and never intends so in the near future but would like unbiased views on political issues! You seemed to have demonstrated that in your first paragraph but introduced a double standard in your second paragraph assertion. Recently, Ngige was adopted by APC and you praised that as such as great move, no jittery or view to shut out others even when primaries are not conducted.
My believe is that all aspirants should contest primaries for equity sake except where only one candidate picks a form. In Nigeria, I do not think only one candidate would pick nomination forms even if it is a councillorship position. So whenever a single candidate emerge on political party without primaries, an underground work has been done to scheme others out.

The retiring Chief Judge was not the oldest(most senior) at the time he was appointed. Against all criticism, Odili went ahead to appoint him leaving the most senior Justice Mrs Membere to her surprise. I think the laws have been amended allowing the NJC to make the recommendations based on seniority in the high court to the Governor after which the state assembly confirms the person. The major challenge now is the assembly is not sitting due to macing et al and the national assembly may take a longer time too when they do thereby creating a gap in the system. Since there cant be a gap, Amaechi seems to be taking advantage of a loophole in the law to appoint his favorite as interim.
Justice Agumagu is of the customary court of appeal which has alternate jurisdiction with the state high court so another argument may arise from there.
