PoliticsRe: Orji Kalu Writes To Amaechi Over President Jonathan by Bensonite: 9:40am On Jul 12, 2013
Abagworo: My take is that Jonathan should tell Nigerians, Amaechi's offense. I'm beginning to see a possible "tribalistic" angle to this going by Asari Dokubo's press release. But should Amaechi apologize for being an Ikwerre man? What do we expect him to apologize for?
You are used to bringing in tribe. It is either you dragging Patience tribe Okrika in or something else. You will soon claim that his fellow kins men fighting him presently like Wike, Autin Opara, Emma Okah, Sergeant Awuse, Azubuike, etc are Ijaws. You are not even rivers in the first place but spewing rubbish all the time.
PoliticsRe: Asari Dokubo Press Release: Rivers State:when Will The Truth Be Told. by Bensonite: 9:31am On Jul 12, 2013
alaoeri: This seems like drafted by Reno Omokri on behalf of Asari.
Asari is very good at public speaking and writing except you are new to Nigeria you should have known it.
PoliticsRe: Asari Dokubo Press Release: Rivers State:when Will The Truth Be Told. by Bensonite: 9:28am On Jul 12, 2013
phantom: Bloody noisemaker! These people should just pray to whatever they hold dear that jonathan and amaechi dont settle this beef cos most of em might just be the sacrifices that MUST be made to maintain the very much needed peace in PDP for massive rigging to occur in 2015.i don cap my own.
Mr Phantom,
I would be glad to see GEJ and CRA reconcile quickly though not for rigging 2015 but to make all those who have taken advantage of this moment to mock the entire rivers indigenes to be put to shame. At this moment none on the divide is right in their claims and counter claims clearly showing a highly polarized rivers politics.
PoliticsRe: Is Hon Evans Bipi The Phantom Speaker A Cultist?? by Bensonite: 2:39pm On Jul 11, 2013
Clerverly: I was speechless and dumbfounded yesterday watching the supposedly "elected" speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly shouting and hailing some thugs he brought with him to house;

Hear him-
Hon: Aro Mates! Aro Mates!! Aro Mates!!!
His Gang; Ayeeee!!!

For the uninitiated, the above slang is the mode of greeting in Viking confraternity- a campus cult whose major objective is to kill, maim and rape.

My question, is this "Hon" a member of a secret cult?
Why should Jonathan be seen to be supporting a cultist??

It seems we are finished in this country..
OP, no doubt he is a cultist and Amaechi himself was a Vikings member until 2007 when K-Leg saga made him to run to Ghana. He came back to tell rivers people how he has repented to embrace Christ. Most rivers young politicians during Odili tenure belong to the Vikings cult while the old ones belong to Ogboni. Some combine both. Wike is like chief recruiter of ogboni when he served Amaechi as chief of staff.
Unfortunately this are the leaders you see displaying rascality.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Has Nothing To Do With Rivers Crisis - Okupe by Bensonite: 11:43am On Jul 11, 2013
Symphony007: I love president jonathan and if i were old enough, i would have voted for him in 2011, the reason i am so hard on him because of this ameachi saga is because he just blew it, he has given the opposition enough brass to jab him with.

I agree that ameachi is too small for jonathan but why did he allow his wife to go to port harcourt and openely berate the governor at the wedding of the man that is now causing problem in the state? Why did he have to involve himself in the NGF crisis by endorsing jang. Why did he have to host all anti ameachi PDP members at aso rock? You can't do all these then turn around to say you don't support any faction or have a hand in rivers crisis. Ameachi was never a threat to jonathan. Chibuike ameachi cannot make jonathan loose a single vote in a state that gave him the most votes in 2011. He should have just remained above all this noise. As the most senoir person in the country. As mr president, he and his wife should have maintained a stiff upper lip and watch ameachi and wike impload. But the way things are now, no amount of press release will stop the opposition from jabing him, the ordinary rivers man in port harcourt who does not follow politics like you and i does not know what is happening all he knows is jonathan, the man he voted for is causing trouble in his state. And at the end making the inconsequential ameachi, a small boy who some folks have never heard about to become the most popular niger delta politician. My president made a mistake and there is still a small window open to correct it.
Are you serious on the bolded.
PoliticsRe: National Assembly Invokes Section 11.4 To Take Over Rivers State Assembly by Bensonite: 2:52pm On Jul 10, 2013
Abagworo: We are heading towards a civil war.
Why singing war all over. No war will happen anywhere because of rivers political crises. A few head may roll no doubt after now and politicians will later settle themselves.
PoliticsRe: Rivers' Speaker Impeached, Amaechi Storms Assembly As Fight Erupts? by Bensonite: 3:40pm On Jul 09, 2013
mbulela: guy, bone that matter. how would every rivers man stand to fight for him? all that is needed is the support of abuja and enough money to buy over yourreps in the house. that is naija politics for you. i still think Amaechi should have found a middle ground of managing Wike. He is one of those guys you don't want against you and at the same time you need to keep at arm's length. Na sharing formula cause all these things.
After all BRF has managed to keep his Oga happy while carrying out his transformation agenda in Eko.
Amaechi needs to tone down his arrogance. It just did him harm and listen less to sycophants who can not bite as hard as Wike couldand still can.
Na Rivers people i just dey pity cos they are aboutto board a 'one chance' bus driven by Wike.
I agree to some extent with you but Amaechi problem is worsened by the number of people at war with him same time.
PoliticsRe: Rivers' Speaker Impeached, Amaechi Storms Assembly As Fight Erupts? by Bensonite: 3:22pm On Jul 09, 2013
mbulela: It was never going to work and Amaechi knew it. It would have been easier to manage wike from Ph than from Abuja but Amaechi was listening to sycophants who wanted to occupy the space Wike was vacating. Wike is a grassroots mobilizer and buldozer (you know what that means in lay terms). He would never want to be side lined from the sharing that goes on at home,no matter the sweet honey in UBE projects.
Everyone thought it was going to work keeping Wike at Abuja that was why for the first time Rivers people never protested that governor and minister from same tribe. Wike was instrumental to Amaechi victory but was also a burden to him. He ensures that the governor sign cheques, etc even if He met him on the road- no protocols at all. Wike is a grass root mobilizer and evil at heart but Amaechi attitude contributed to all this wahala. With less talk and more good projects every rivers man would have willingly stood to fight for him .
Meanwhile, the anti- Amaechi group are already drinking and jubilating at todays drama as I write.
PoliticsRe: Rivers' Speaker Impeached, Amaechi Storms Assembly As Fight Erupts? by Bensonite: 2:59pm On Jul 09, 2013
Rhino.5dm:
Bros, the police commissioner with truck load of armed thugs came with the 5 anti amaechi members to initiate a kangaroo seating in the house. How do you copy me?
Rhino you are right. I just put a call to friend who works at the assembly complex. The anti-Amaechi group storm the place with thugs but some other assembly members defected to their side making them more than 5 law members( I will try to confirm exact number and names). From what I was told it was attempt to impeach the speaker before the governor stormed the arena to seize the mace. Ordinary the governor should not have done that...maybe he is only trying to save his group.
In all this further polarizes already sectionalized rivers politics and the ordinary man may suffer the set back!
PoliticsRe: Rivers' Speaker Impeached, Amaechi Storms Assembly As Fight Erupts? by Bensonite: 11:36am On Jul 09, 2013
Symphony007: Breaking news coming out of port harcourt says the speaker of the rivers state house of assemble has been impeached by anti-ameachi lawmakers of the house and Rotimi ameachi stormed the rivers state house of assembly and siezed the mace.

Now this is really fluid news and more info is coming out by the minute. Staffs of the assembly who fled for their safety during the commotion has varrying stories. Some say the governour took the mace and is now at the government house. Some say the members loyal to him did. But if the mace has truely left the house then the rivers state house of assembly cannot sit till it returns. More info as we get them.
This is sad! I was hoping to see peace return to all sides of the divide.
PoliticsRe: Greater Port Harcourt by Bensonite: 9:42am On Jul 09, 2013
kel4soft: You amaze me, what concerns me with GEJ and their politics when was concerns me is the governance. That said, if you accuse CRA of building GPH at ikwerre settlement, i want you to also tell me where in PH that is not Ikwerre land? Mind you am an Ijaw extraction and i don't give a damn about the CRA vs GEJ bruhaha. Is just that must of us in south have forgotten governance and always interested in politics that will not affect the development of the state. Chipping a little into the PDP crisis in the state, i would have expected those elders that went to visit the President including Odili and the PDP state excos to remind the President the the state need refund of the PH-Owerri road dualization, Ikwerre Road, Old Aba Road, Ada George, Ogoni-Adoni-Opobo road, Obiri-Ikwerre interchange, Eleme interchange, Agip flyover and many more. They should have told him that Setraco are too slow with the east-west road that even by 2015, they won't get to Rumuokoro. They should have also told him that, the PH refinery he promise to upgrade that will employ people is now a myth. They should have complain with the lack of FG present in the state. Instead they stood so low even Odili to travel all the way from PH to Abuja just to tell GEJ that they are sorry about CRA disrespect.
I shame for my people.
You made some good points but correct the bolded. Also the unity road(ogoni-andoni-opobo road) has not progressed significantly in the past 3 years. GPH projects are going smoothly no doubt I pass through that route often even if I am a critic of CRA loud mouth, I have to be happy for the progress made.
PoliticsRe: Rivers Govt Will Stop Funding Police by Bensonite: 12:11am On Jul 04, 2013
Symphony007: Majority of nairalanders are jonathan bottom lickers so telling them anything contrary to the talking point of their lord and master is like pouring water on stone.
I think you are the one licking Amaechi's ass from thread to thread. What makes you feel that your opinion counts more than others. Are you more Rivers than those of us commenting. That Amaechi is a propagandist is no more news.
PoliticsRe: Vehicle Rams Into Amaechi 's Convoy. by Bensonite: 12:10pm On Jul 03, 2013
I saw the governors convoy on my way back from airport but shortly afterward met the accident scene. Over 4 escort vehicles stopped to rescue the situation I do not see why a conspiracy tied to it
PoliticsRe: We Will Leave PDP If Governor Amaechi Quits Peterside by Bensonite: 9:52am On Jul 02, 2013
kingbang: WTF is this one blabbing? The Peterside of a clown is amongst the suspended Lawmakers. FYI, PDP need them not.
No sir Peterside is federal law maker he was not suspended. He is one of Amaechi'S favourites to take over governorship of the state. The 27 members suspended are the RSHA.

PoliticsRe: Gov. Amaechi And President Jonathan Warm Up To Each Other At Airport by Bensonite: 11:02am On Jun 30, 2013
Mazi_Omenuko: Amaechi acted wise. The president landed at PH before going down to Bayelsa, so its customary that the state gov has to receive him and, all things being equal, accompany him to Bayelsa. Since GEJ is acting like nothing is going wrong between him and amaechi, it is still wise for amaechi to act like the relationship is not strained and go on with his requirements as a state govnor.

I love the way he hijacked the scenario, Wike and other members of the minority faction of state pdp would be so disappointed that he showed up and monopolized the president.

This is politics, you don't have to show all your hands in a single deal of cards. There are some battles you have to loose so as to win the war!
Wise one!
PoliticsRe: Gov. Amaechi And President Jonathan Warm Up To Each Other At Airport by Bensonite: 10:06pm On Jun 29, 2013
Joyfullyme: Please Ameachi has not done much in the past two years, he did well in his first tenure but this after re election ... babu.
I dislike his attitude but cannot deny that he is a performing governor. His performance is relative and comparative using Nigerian politicians scale.
PoliticsRe: Gov. Amaechi And President Jonathan Warm Up To Each Other At Airport by Bensonite: 7:20pm On Jun 29, 2013
Symphony007: Gov. Ameachi, always respectfull. Look how he is shaking the president with both hands. How many northern or western governours will show such respect. Some of the northern once don't even recognise his right to rule but they are top on his priorities.
At bolded I think you are joking because that is what is causing all his problems. He is a performer with attitude problem
PoliticsRe: Gov. Amaechi And President Jonathan Warm Up To Each Other At Airport by Bensonite: 6:32pm On Jun 29, 2013
awodman: Lai Mohammed what do you have to say on this??..
He would say this is unacceptable, the governor used two hands to shake while the president used only one hand!
They have trivialized everything with an eye focused on taking over power only without telling Nigerians the workable alternatives they have as option.
In reality, PDP has not performed above average assessing them in every sphere of governance in the past 14 years so if the opposition comes up with substance rather chasing shadows things can drift in their favour in 2015
PoliticsRe: Gov. Amaechi And President Jonathan Warm Up To Each Other At Airport by Bensonite: 5:44pm On Jun 29, 2013
This is good! they should reconcile and focus on rapid development fast fast.
PoliticsRe: Thanks To The Multitude Of Sincere Nigerians On NL by Bensonite: 7:40pm On Jun 28, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: This is the insincerity that some of us stand against on this forum. How can you say someone writting a 4hours exam has failed when the person has only done 2hours? For goodness sake, can we say football team has failed when only 45minutes of the match has been played? This president was elected for 4yrs and he has now gone about halfway. It is only FAIR and JUST to judge him at the end of his first term in 2015. Even football fans keep supporting their team, notwithstanding the scores, till the final whistle is blown. The final whistle for Jonathan, based on the 2011 elections, is 2015.
Recently you posted predictions of witches and wizard predictions can that also qualify as sincere Nigerian.
PoliticsRe: ACN National Treasurer Kobani Resigns by Bensonite: 8:49am On Jun 28, 2013
Symphony007: of course! I always said it that he was never loyal to the ACN, he just went there to console himself after ameachi took over PDP in the state. I know his mother very well and his brothers, they live at GRA close to the hotel presidential in port harcourt. He has looked and seen that he has no future in ACN so he decided to join the campaign against ameachi so if he fall, he will return to a prominent spot in rivers government, this the the game going on in rivers now. Everyone is picking their sides. Don't you wonder why tonye princewill have'nt said anything since this fued started? He is weighing his options.
My point is don't shift standards when it suits you. Nigerian politicians are like prostitutes they shift ground to wherever favours them but we the masses should not. As for Tonye Princewill he is playing safe but during the view point interview on rhythm last two weeks with Prof Tam David-West He phoned in and criticize some of Amaechi actions. I equally know Kobani's family house at Birabi street GRA phase 2. He was Odili's finance commissioner after Oyaghiri.
PoliticsRe: ACN National Treasurer Kobani Resigns by Bensonite: 8:39am On Jun 28, 2013
talktimi: you mean just the same way Ibikunle Amosu was a Pdp member before decamping to the ACN to contest & win the Ogun state governorship election ? By your logic, Amosu is still a PDP member then. Okay
Thanks my brother. We should adopt same standard for constructive criticism. Audu Ogbe was former PDP chairman and he is now a chieftain of the APC just as Okorocha was presidential candidate of PDP in 2003. Tomorrow you will say they were not really a member of the opposition if they choose to re-decamp again.
PoliticsRe: ACN National Treasurer Kobani Resigns by Bensonite: 8:46pm On Jun 27, 2013
Symphony007: Before PDP goons start popping bottles of champage i urge you to return the wine to the celler because kenneth kobani was never an ACN member, if was always in PDP. Infact. He was commisioner of finance for peter odili in rivers state. He only joined PdP when ameachi came on board, now with the current witch hunt by jonathan's goons in the state, he has left ACN and is positioning himself for a return to government if jonathan suceed in deposing ameachi. Same thing with abiye sekibo, gubernatorial candidate for the ACN in the 2011 rivers election who just resigned from the party too and he is an from okrika, patience jonathan's homtown. Mr and mrs jonathan are really working!!!
You are funny! They are talking of Kenneth Kobani who is an Ogoni man and you are dragging other tribe into it. He was national treasurer of ACN for three years and you say he was not really a member. So if he was still there would you still say the same. You guys always have double standard and is a shame.
PoliticsRe: 15 Governors Attended Amaechi’s NGF Meeting by Bensonite: 11:09am On Jun 27, 2013
Symphony007: I am really looking forward to ameachi's protest against federal interferance in rivers state on the streets of port harcourt. The stupid commisioner of police has ordered that no protest will happen in the state without his permission, anyone held without permission will be met with arrest.

So i am waiting for that day, waiting for the policeman that will flog the governour a baton, throw tear gas at him or lock him up in mile 1 police station.
Stop this ranting, Okadigbo's case has just been referenced for the wise to listen. God forbid in the cause of such protest any miscreant does something funny to him or the people protesting with him. In 2003, as you may have known Chief Sergeant Awuse(then in ANPP) led a governorship campaign team to Bakana town but they were attacked by Odili sponsored cult group drowning many supporters till date nothing happened.
PoliticsRe: Don’t Lie, Ogun Has No Free Health Services, Doctors Tell Gov. Amosun by Bensonite: 11:02am On Jun 26, 2013
Hon Gbawe as you are now fondly called,
You can see how destructive criticism hurts you so badly that you have desperately put up a strong fight against those your perceive as portraying a performing Gov Amosum in bad light. I will advice you also commend any performer when the evidence seems so overwhelming too irrespective of party or regional affiliation.
You are too quick to call people clannish or cretin because they differ in opinion but it will be nice to exercise more decorum.
Back to topic, in most states of the federation where free health care is announced for the elderly and children below 6, the greatest challenge has been implementation and compliance by the health practitioners themselves. My first hand observation is that they either hoard the drugs or make the process of registration too difficult by demanding for outrageous documents. Healthcare and other basic needs are far from been solved in this contraption called Nigeria.

Demdem:
Before then and till now he had no intention and he was surely right. Does that mean he doesnt want to see the governor later if need be? He hasnt disproved himself.
I take it that you have refused to accept the facts. I cited 2000/2001 when He was been accommodated for free by Odili government but it did not make sense to you. The Prof was obviously in need of medical attention as evidenced during the one hour thirty minutes interview so may be needed help from the government. He is a man that has some reputation but financially broke no doubt.

Demdem,
I have not made empty accusations as evidenced by my post. You and I listened when he even bragged that he has no intention to see the governor. I recorded the entire interview on my phone. I have respect for Prof Tam David West having read several of his writes-ups on local/national tabloids but on this occasion he disproved himself.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria: Oil Workers Protest Failed Eleme-onne Link Road by Bensonite: 11:09am On Jun 20, 2013
Abagworo: The said road is the East-West road that runs from Eleme junction in Rumuokwurusi to trailer park near Onne. Infact the entire stretch of East-West road that runs North of Port Harcourt metropolis from Choba to Alesa/refinery junction is in a mess courtesy of Orubebe and his Oga.
You are damn wrong again. The report says Eleme-Onne Link road leading into the free zone. As you may have known that stretch of link road was constructed two years ago but its now failing again. Several tankers overturn on that road every week causing serious traffic problem. The construction was done by RCC and awarded by FG. However, the East-West road leading to that link road remains bad.
