Politics › Re: No Network In 9 States’ – Akpabio Justifies Senate Decision by bentenny(m): 1:13am On Feb 09
I have always said that our biggest problem isn't only the presidency but our legislative arm of government!

Most of them need to be kicked out before we can have a semblance of what national assembly members should look like!

How can a senate president wake up and tell the world in 2026 that there is no network access in 9 states in Nigeria but INEC the electoral umpire have confirmed that as far back as 2021,93% of polling units in n Nigeria had access to internet and GSM?

That was 2021....5 years ago!

Make una dey take am easy, they didn't defend on purpose, instead it was City that pinned them back
Slotball has no chaos!
The only reason why mancity had three shots on goal against Liverpool at anfield was because of slot approach!
No intensity,no fight
No penetration
This was never the Liverpool under klopp!

Are you joking or you're naive?
Before you rush to make erroneous assumption first make a simple inquiry...
I made the reference based clearly on klopp's record at anfield!

14 Jan 2018: Liverpool 4-3 Manchester City
7 Oct 2018: Liverpool 0-0 Manchester City
10 Nov 2019: Liverpool 3-1 Manchester City
7 Feb 2021: Liverpool 1-4 Manchester City
3 Oct 2021: Liverpool 2-2 Manchester City
16 Oct 2022: Liverpool 1-0 Manchester City
10 Mar 2024: Liverpool 1-1 Manchester City

Interestingly, the only time Liverpool lost to mancity under klopp was during COVID-19 season without the fans in the stadium!
Abeg slot needs to leave now!
How can you defend against mancity after scoring?
He should go and practice his attractive footy at Spain!

adioolayi:
Nigeria's internet coverage is put today at about 40-45% ...

Meaning more than half is yet to be covered.

Why not give a time frame for results to be uploaded in areas where there is no network....say, 3 hours after elections...for example.

Results can be snneped and stored and it will synchronize automatically where you have network...just as the BVAS works as of now.

Putting the clause Real Time....will subject the clause to many legal interpretations... because, the real time is not yet workable.
Guy you dont need internet to transmit results electronically!
As long as there is phone network, it can be done within seconds!

Bro no mind them!
Their ignorance is due to their political affiliations!
Electronic transmission of results will automatically give citizens the power to choose their leaders which most of the national assembly members are afraid of!

Can you explain the readiness? Is there internet in every village, or their votes should not count because there's some mandatory internet need?
What?
Have your political affiliations impeded your ability to reason?
I dont want to belive you sat down and typed this!
How do bandits and boko members make videos and post them real time for the world to watch in areas referred to as 'remote'?
As long as you can make calls around that area, tranmitting a result sheet that isn't up to 200kb will swiftly get there!
We really have a serious problem in Nigeria!
Nah wa ohh!
Politics › Re: Nigeria Not Ready For Real-time Transmission Of Election Results – Shagari by bentenny(m):
This should not even be an argument!
its long overdue!
I have observed that those trying their best to hinder the real time transmission of election results are mostly the older politicians who are either outdated in their knowledge or simply want to determine the outcome of elections through the collation centre!
The truth is that what happened at kogi state where there was a pre-filled election result will most likely happen in 2027!
This explains why many national assembly members are porting to APC and assenting to the electronic transmission of election results in real time will simply nail the coffin to their political career!

But APC could have denied him of the approval. Tinubu doesn't see anybody as his enemy. He works with anybody that is prepared to work.

Bring your business and Tinubu would back you up irrespective of your political affiliation.

He's too engaged to remember all the stones Baba Datti Ahmed threw at him at interviews during 2023 electioneering campaign. His concern is progress and employment opportunities to some youths.
This has nothing to do with Tinubu!
Its about business!
Besides, the last thing any northerner wants to hear, esp with the rise in insecurity at their domain,is a south western president trying to knock down an fellow core northerner's business due to political differences!
That will be a political own goal on Tinubu's part!

Don't just give statements condemning the act!
Point accusing fingers at the president for his inability and irresponsibility to protect his citizens!
All president bulaba does is to make blank threats to terrorists who neither fear nor rate him and travel out of the country under the guise of bringing investment to the country!

Morris should shut up and play his part as an opposition!
He should stop giving the impression that he has ported!
He is one of the reasons why I believe some of the opposition esp the younger ones have been bought and silenced by APC!
Even if Obi or other opposition leaders don't hit the streets to protest, why can't the youths do so?
Must you wait for opposition candidates to hit the streets before you can do the same?

I told someone slot was lucky to have won the league last season!
He inherited a team that had earlier challenged for the EPL 2 years ago but lost steam towards the end.
Most of last season feat was down to the once again superb combo of TAA/Salah and also the inconsistency of title pretenders like arsenal!
Now you know why Liverpool might not win a trophy this season!

Exousiang01:
So the Lagos state government took permission from the president before setting up a security trust fund?
Almost every vehicle you see the army, navy, airforce, police, immigration, civil defense, NDLEA etc using were procured by the Lagos security trust fund.
Do you think the governor will call the commissioner to respond to a case of insecurity and the commissioner will say he doesn't have vehicles?

Some of you think from your asses.

Because the president is the commander in chief every state governor should wait for the president to equip them to protect their own people?
I believe you actually reason from your highlighted!
All you simply had to do was a simple research to wipe out your ignorance but you preferred to remain stagnant with what you have been fed believing a governor is the chief security officer!
Data is freely given to you to do further research on a topic and not for copy and paste!
FYI the president controls security in every state according to the Nigerian 1999 constitution!
The president controls the IGP....the IGP controls the state commissioner of police!
The state commissioner of police can not receive a directive from a state governor without the permission of the IGP who is answerable to the presidency!

This is common knowledge but ignorance is bliss!

Exousiang01:
The governor is the chief security officer of the state, he doesn't need the president to come down to his state to do his job.

Lagos state government didn't call the president before setting a security taxforce and supporting all law enforcement agencies with equipments.

The governor meets with security heads almost every week. They don't need the president in that meeting.
If he needs reinforcement the commissioner of police can contact the AIG in the Zone
The military will do the same.
Why are most of you data boys so ignorant of the Nigerian constitution?
If I may ask you these simple questions....who appointed and posted the state commissioner of police to any state including Lagos state?
Who appoints the IGP?
Who is the IGP answerable to?
If after answering these questions, you cannot connect the dots or still remain in your current state of ignorance, then you need to go back to school!
Ignorance is a choice!
