So by your analogy, cbn can wake up tomorrow and say that 1 dollar is now 100 naira. And just like that 1 usd = 100 naira.

Do you not see that this cannot be true. Slow down with your excitement, you don't understand how this issue works.

I am a yoruba too. This is not about racial superiority.

Okonjo iweala,Lamido sanusi and Soludo are also fantastic.
It was even Lamido Sanusi that raised that Alarm that "WHY IS CBN NOT RECEIVING DOLLARS FROM NNPCL SALES" which TINUBU/YEMI implemented.

It is the same system of CBN not involved in the receipts from the sales of the country most important resources that led sanusi to accuse NNPC/GEJ of embezzling 20billion dollars then. That accusation alone dented GEJ government image and eventually culminated to the end of his Government.
And Allison madueke put the final nail. The woman was accessing both NNPC Naira and dollars account like storybook she bought with her own money

Business › Tinubu Restoring Nigeria’s Economy To Visible Stability, Growth — Stella Oduah by Benwallt(op): 6:41pm On Apr 07, 2024
Former Minister of Aviation, Sen. Stella Oduah, has assured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is on course to restore the Nigerian economy to the path of sustainable stability and real visible growth.

She made the assertion while addressing the Igbo Business Community in Abuja at the weekend, she said the Tinubu-led All Progressives Congress (APC) policies are steadily strengthening and repositioning the nation’s economy.

The former Minister applauded President Tinubu for, according to her, his manifest commitment towards the infrastructural development of the South East, as well as the recognition, acceptance and inclusion of the region in governance.

Emphasizing that the Tinubu administration is not given to loud hypes, self-praise, and showboating, Oduah said that the achievements of the administration are non-speculative but real and verifiable.

Oduah described the policy trust of the administration as practical, methodical and strategically geared towards unlocking of the nation’s productive potential and reigniting creativity with huge employment opportunities in all spheres for innovative Nigerians, particularly the youths.

She stressed that with the steady implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda and the embracing of its principles by Nigerians, the hardship being faced in the country would soon be a thing of the past.

The former Aviation minister under President Goodluck Jonathan administration stated: “President Tinubu is a listening leader and silent achiever. He is not given to propaganda, media hype, and showboating. He is focused on the mandate, and his achievements are non-speculative but real and verifiable.

“His policies are practical methodical and strategically geared towards unlocking the productive potentials of the nation. With the steady implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda and its acceptance by Nigerians, this administration is silently reigniting the ingenuity of Nigerians and creating massive job opportunities, especially for our youths in every sphere of the economy.”

She commended President Tinubu for keeping to his 30 per cent affirmative action on youth inclusion in appointments and participation in governance in addition to approving the release of N60 billion for the benefit of the youths under the Agric Investment and Small and Medium Enterprises Scheme.

According to Oduah, such initiatives point to the President’s significant commitment towards unlocking and harnessing the potentials of the Nigerian youths and repositioning them for higher productivity, self-sufficiency and global competitiveness in all critical sectors”.

She also applauded President Tinubu for his bold efforts in clearing the inherited $7 billion foreign exchange backlog, which she said has started reflecting in the strengthening of the Naira and overall recovery of the national economy.

Oduah, who represented Anambra North Senatorial District, commended the President and the national leadership of the APC for appointing Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma as the Coordinator of the Party’s activities in the South East region, stating that she joined the APC recently because of Uzodimma’s appointment as well as his efforts in bringing federal presence and development to the region on the platform of the APC.

The former lawmaker stressed that the appointment of Uzodimma has further endeared the South East to the APC given his popularity in the region due to his achievements in government adding that with him as APC coordinator in the South East, the Party will further penetrate and take complete leadership of the region in the next round of elections.

“I joined the APC because of the appointment of Governor Uzodimma as the Coordinator of the Party in the South East and his ability to bring federal presence and development to the South East. Governor Uzodimma has made the South East to embrace the APC. Many more leaders in the southeast are joining the APC because of him,” she said.

The Anambra-born senator insisted that the South East has a lot to benefit from a government which values, promotes and supports creativity, quest for productivity and inclusiveness adding that that is why the region has embraced President Tinubu and the APC.

She urged the members of the Igbo Business Community to remain united in support of President Tinubu, Governor Uzodimma, and the APC

Ebonyi is APC top to bottom
Family › Nwifuru, Anyim, Egwu, Umahi, Elechi Unite by Benwallt(op): 10:16pm On Apr 06, 2024
Leaders of Ebonyi State, including Governor Francis Nwifuru, former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim, former Governors, Senator Sam Egwu, Senator David Umahi, and Chief Martin Elechi, have united.

The leaders have not been together following their political differences and have not been attending public functions until yesterday, when all of them attended the 83rd birthday celebration of Elechi in Abakaliki, the state capital.

The event was organised by the state government.

The leaders came together into the Christian Ecumenical Centre, venue of the event. It was the first of such incident in the state for some years now.

Anyim was the chairman of the event. He described Elechi as a foremost, resilient and uncompromising founding father of the state, who fought for the unity the state was enjoying.

“It is true that Chief Elechi was the Governor of Ebonyi State, but I tell you, that was just a calling to fill a vacuum which he accepted in his usual willingness to make the utmost sacrifice for Ebonyi people,” he said.

Former governor of the state and former Minister of Education, Senator Sam Egwu noted that Elechi displayed exemplary leadership as the Governor of the state and made enormous contributions to its development.

“Your dedication and tireless efforts in spearheading the struggle for the creation of the state has left an indelible mark on the history of our beloved state. Your resilience in the struggle for the creation of Ebonyi State served as an inspiration to countless individuals, myself included.

“At the end of my tenure as the first democratically elected governor of the state, I felt naturally happy to transmit the administration of the new state to you who spearheaded the struggle for the state creation.

“As a governor, you demonstrated exemplary leadership and made significant contributions to the development of our state.”

On his part, Elechi’s successor and Minister of Works, Sen David Umahi, described him as an experienced administrator, who taught him administration in governance.

In his speech, Governor Nwifuru said the state had every reason to celebrate Elechi.

He commended the former Governor for his leadership style and his contributions to the development of the state.

He described Elechi as one of the most respected elders in the state, Igbo land and the nation in general.

“Chief Elechi, no doubt, remains one of our respected elder statesmen in Ebonyi State, who continues to offer rare insights and counsel on how best to organise our state, with the benefits of hindsight, for effective governance.

“I have benefited immensely from Elechi’s knowledge and perspectives on a wide range of issues as they affect our state. As an astute politician, he has been part of every political epoch in our state.

“Beyond his sagely contributions to our development and political evolution over the decades, the most enduring aspect of his enviable life is his forthrightness, integrity, reliability and spartan life.

“Those who witnessed the tenure of Chief Elechi as the Governor can attest to the fact that he deploys tact, deft, probity, accountability, respect for the rule of law and respect for the state civil service.

“As a former Governor of Ebonyi State, he dutifully served the people with tremendous success from 2007 to 2015. Industrial laxity, disregard for due process and ethical breaches were all history during his time as the governor. He doggedly institutionalised punctuality and discipline in the workplace.

“As a committed democrat, die-hard progressive, and prudent yet compassionate leader of men, Chief Elechi has done much for this state and the progressive family,” he stated.

Elechi, in his remarks, lauded Governor Nwifuru for organising the event in his honour, describing it as the best gift to him.

He opined that the Governor has opened a new chapter in governance and assured of his continued support to his administration.

He commended Ebonyi leaders for the unity among them.
