dubylhover:True. While I'm a fan of Tom, I've not seen any portrayal by him deserving of an Oscar. People that win Oscars usually put up a perfect portrayal of a character and action genre are not really considered in Oscars, and that's where Tom usually falls in. |
Five Feet Apart 7/10. When I first saw the movie, the rating and synopsis wasn't that encouraging, plus I'm not much of a romance genre fan, so I decided to not download it. But a friend encouraged me to watch it and I finally did this morning. The movie wasn't bad at all. It had shades of A Fault In Our Stars written all over it and therefore couldn't pull my emotional strings till the ending scenes which got me very emotional. I love the spotlight it brought on the disease. Even though the movie didn't thoroughly do justice on Cystic Fibrosis, it gave an inquisitive mind enough knowledge to read about it and learn about the real life couple, Katie Donovan and Dalton Prager behind the story in the film. A lot of people are going through some pains for real. Each day one wakes up hale and hearty, he'd be grateful for life and sound health. Overall, good movie. I recommend it for romance genre lovers.

krattoss:This is why tits very very important to watch movie via ratings, though ratings are not 100% correct all the time. Next time, Google the movie before you watch. That movie is crap even without me watching it. |
mekaprime:Na Nollywood movie. The name alone is enough to describe how dumb the producers, director, script writer, and even its viewers are. ![]() |
Funjosh:Watch this epic award-winning blockbuster called Blackberry Babes part 1-4. Not a single dulling moment.

Damfostopper:Dem no even get 480p. |
R2bees:You just described how I felt too. |
Dygeasy:I saw reasons why people were angry, and I quiet agree, but I didn't agree fully with everything. For example, I'm not disappointed at how Dany ended up, but rather at how fast she turned to a full-blown Cersei. The signs have always been there but the directors foolishly changed her very quickly within 2 episodes alone. Common sense dictates they'd have slowly unraveled her, and this would've been possible if there were longer episodes to systematically and slowly turn Dany to the heartless and wicked queen she turned out to be. DnD messed the season up by forcing everything into 6 episodes. |
IKON360:The reason Captain Marvel did well in Endgame was because the focus wasn't on her, and she starred in a better film with a wonderful script. The people that scripted and directed Captain Marvel deserved to be jailed for film crimes. I'm so grateful I didn't see it at the cinema. Bullet dodged!! |
KoiceReloaded:Still boils down to happy or better ending many people expected, but I get your point. The ending for Jon was disappointing, especially having toiled all through the seasons, waking up from the dead, fighting so many battles, taking Winterfell from Ramsay and uniting all other kingdoms, only to end in an unceremonious position at Night's Watch. He deserved better, way better than the insignificant ending they gave him, but going the poor judgment of DnD, that was the only possible outcome for Jon Snow since the Unsullied would never be at peace with the other kingdoms if Bran had pardoned Snow fully with all the benefits that comes with it. Another thing worth noting is Dany doesn't deserve what the writers did to her. They turned her into her father out of the blue, and then killed her off like a dog. After all the_bullshit about being a fair queen and whatnot, they completely chucked her character development out the window, and turned her into a genocidal maniac. How does that make sense? As lame-ass writing as it gets, man.I agree with you on this because I was peeved that due to the short episodes, there's NO character development at all. Things were just unraveling fast. Even though Dany's obsession with the throne and her past antecedents of crushing her enemies were the seeds that laid the foundation DnD built her sudden change evil change on, the short time it took her to turn full-blown Cersi-like evil was too short. If DnD had thought about this ending for Dany, then common sense dictates that they'd have started earlier in the past seasons to unravel the evil queen they suddenly turned Dany to within two episodes. They certainly got it wrong on that one and made people that loved Dany hate her all of a sudden. Doesn't make sense. They're trying to bring a twist into the whole story and ended up ruining it. Also, Cercei didn't deserve to die so quickly, esp when you consider the fact that she's responsible for more than 50% of deaths in the show. I expected her to be defiant in a slow painful death, cuz she had always struck me as that kind of woman, not cowering in fear in a quick death. Many people wanted Cersei tortured and given the most haunting of deaths for her tyrannical ways, me inclusive, but to be fair to DnD even though their rushed story denied us that dream, not all tyrants are humiliated like we expect. Take for a example, someone like Hitler. Even some African dictators have gotten away after committing crimes by going into exile and living till the day of their death. So, while Cersei's death was too easy and stupid, it's not far-fetched either. My major anger in Cersei's death was that she's made to be look like an angel in order to make Dany the evil queen who deserves to die as well. This why the cause of all the things wrong with GoT final season is the short episodes and HBO and DnD deserve the total blame. Two years is more than enough to come up with a better script and longer episodes for proper character development, than the short rushed story they gave us. In all, you some valid points that have made realize things should've ended in a much better way than how season 8 ended. At the end, I think DnD ruined what would've been a perfect ending to a magnificent story. |
Captain Marvel 6/10 The worst film since MCU began their movie domination journey, and probably the only dent in MCU's almost excellent record in churning out dope movies. The movie was a colossal disappointment and I'm still finding hard to believe it was from MCU. This is what happens when you try to force a character into the Avengers Endgame, that should never have been part of the Endgame. Failure to properly and slowly introduce Captain Marvel on time, without rushing it, was the reason the movie sucked. |
Concluded the final season of GoT and have been wondering why some people were wailing and gnashing their teeth over the season, especially the season finale. Apart from the season being too short, the season ended well. Which led me to conclude that those asking for the redoing of the final season: 1. Were finding it hard to move on after being addicted to the series for so long. 2. Wanted the series to continue after this season. 3. Wanted the episodes to be a bit longer than just 6 episodes (this is the category I fall in). 4. Were Love struck fans who wanted Nollywood-esque ending where Jon gets to kill the Night King, marry Dany and they give birth to kids and live happily ever after. They're probably writhing in pains seeing Bran as the Lord of The Six Kingdoms. Majority of the disgruntled fans are found here. Bunch of entitled teenagers that are yet to accept the fact that the ending of movie/series mustn't be like a fairytale. We don't always get what we want at the end of movies/series, it's entirely up to the directors to decide which way a series/movie could end. Apart from the season being too short, the season ended perfectly, including the painful deaths/losses. Next on my must-watch list will be Breaking Bad, Wire and The Sopranos, since some people rated them above GoT. I want to see why they're rated this highly. |
Nova15:Huge fan. |

Damfostopper:It's been on Tfpdl for 3 days now. |
nani6666:If you're following it in chronological order, then watch Salvation before Genisys. |

Ishilove:I didn't believe all he wrote, and I also apportioned some blames to him because I found it extremely hard to believe he's 100% innocent, which he didn't deny as well. He might have garnished some truths in his posts, but I won't be surprised if Maclatunji_ actually banned him for spelling Allah with a small letter A. The kind of complaints I read about him shows he's a kind of mod that can go that extreme. |
Clubmaster:That the spirit, bro. Jah, rastafried rice and beans. Badman fear no babylonians. Battybwoys finna wreck you, but badman fih nuh stay down. They dun know. Pass the spliff, mahn, let's smoke up this caban. ![]() |
Nairatalks:Gotcha. BTW, how many monikers you get? Were you expecting to be banned and decided to create them in anticipation? |
Nairatalks:Idris Elba was the only breathe of fresh air from the trailer. I have time before the movie drops to see if I'd get into the Hobbs and Shaw fever or if I'd wait for previews first before deciding if I'll go to the cinema to see it, or just wait for its clear version to download. |
Wow. I felt really bad reading this news. RIP Hungerbad. I may not have agreed with most of your political views, but I know deep down you're a good human. My condolences to his family and loved one. |
Nairatalks:I guess I'm the only one not hyped or anticipating the Hobbs and Shaw movie. Not even the trailer could move me. I just find it very weird and uninteresting without the whole crew. I'm definitely not looking forward to it. |
DannyKoice:Noted. Let's wait for November to see what's he's been cooking for us. |
Nairatalks:I can be uncivil and brash depending if someone attacked me or if the situation called for it, but she didn't display an unruly behavior so I see no reason why I'd not show decorum in our discussion. I think she's oblivious about some happenings in the Terminator franchise going by her posts, plus she's only seen just two Terminator movies from the franchise. |
DannyKoice:I know Sarah Connor isn't a Terminator but a human and that there's not wrong with a female Terminator at all, I was only talking about the fact that BBC were suggesting that that'd be a female Terminator (likely a protagonist) in the upcoming movie). https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-45043129 I don't know if she's a woman hater but I think she gave a good reason (at least for herself) for kicking against a female Terminator protagonist even though there's absolutely nothing wrong even if both the protagonist and antagonist are both female Terminators. P.S: I still wonder what went wrong between you and Ishi offline. When I came on here newly, you two were really tight and friendly, she even suggested that you're her *****. I belive in what happened offline should remain offline, so it's better to let the sleeping dog lie. But I think you'd try to tolerate her even if you'll not been cool with her. At least for peace sake. |
Octopusssy:I understand you much better now. Well, If I'm to guess, I'll say it's the storyline of the upcoming movie and where the plot is headed that demanded the need for a female protagonist Terminator. Maybe director, Miller is trying to bring in a different angle, you know, spice things up a little bit and bring another perspective. A kind of a fresh idea. I think they'd be more Terminators this time around, not just the female protagonist Terminator. I'm against the sudden quest to turn many popular male roles to female roles. But I feel with the first female antagonist Terminator not doing badly at all, a protagonist wouldn't be a horrible idea as long as the script is good. |
Octopusssy:Yes, Summer Glau played a female Terminator protagonist in the Terminator series. But was this debate ever about female Terminator protagonist? Or the feminisation of the recent movies? |
Octopusssy:Just saw it now. Well, the rise of feminism might have played a part in the idea behind the future changing of Thor to a female, but I think that a female Terminator has been existing before the surge of feminism recently and therefore shouldn't been seen as a product of the modern feminism flu affecting a lot of people in Hollywood. |
