Did you try sending a PM, can we talk here please? Dennyjuff: Please who has used IOM twice for Medicals? How did u go about it? Last year I booked Medicals cause I thought I’d get ITA and it never came and I never used the slot or pay for the Medicals. This year my spouse is the PA and We’re trying to book Medicals but wen it gets to inputting my own details, it says “an appointment already exists for this applicant”:.. I have cancelled the appointment from last year and I’m still not able to book afresh. Please who knows what I can do? A friend who also did Medicals with them last year is having same issue when trying to rebook. |

Thanks for your response. After getting the license, do I have to get the international drivers license as well? Temas: Get the Nigerian License, It will at least allow you to drive here for 3-6 months depending on province. However, since you will not be having a driver's record of 1-2years to qualify for waivers, I am afraid you will have to start from scratch in Canada |

Hello All
I was reading about getting a Canadian drivers license with a Nigerian one and I found out that I'll need a driving history letter from FRSC and my driving records should also indicate a driving experience of minimum of 2 years. Here's the issue, I'm just about starting the process of getting a driver's license and it's not possible to have 2 years as at when I'll move hopefully. Can someone confirm this or advise on the way forward. Should I just abort the process of getting a drivers license here since my driving history or license date won't be up to 2 years anyway? Please advise. Thank you. |

chukwuemeka275: It's okay. Quebéc is not in that list. But at a later stage in your application, you will be asked about location where you hope to reside. At that point kindly avoid Quebéc thanks! I guess you mean Post ITA. I think I remember selecting just a province then. |

chukwuemeka275: Here's the story as promised
LONG WRITE UP PERHAPS, READERS BEWARE It’s here finally! Make una help me thank God.
SET BACK Well I did encounter a huge setback. After filling in my profile, the location I chose as where to reside was Quebec! and this made sense because my uncle resides there. I was saying to myself that at least for a few months I won’t have to worry about rent and all. AOR was out on 3rd August. I was so happy that things had started to look up only to get the message from cic saying my application was refused three days later. The reason was that I didn’t have the requirements to reside in that region (no evidence of French ability) I was massively distraught. I thought some of the bad village people done dey use me shine. It was a terrible feeling. However, I took it as a blessing in disguise, in that my passport had 5 months and 21 days left before expiring so I decided to take this set back as an opportunity to get my passport renewed and have some peace of mind.
All the best guys. Hello, please I have a question on the bolded because I saw your recent posts about it and had to dig further. I'm post AOR and I selected 'all provinces' as where I would like to live in when filling out my EE profile. However Quebec wasn't on that list. Hope I wouldn't have any issues? Was it the same section where you selected Quebec or I'm missing something. |

I'll share a summary of my study plan/ materials used. READING/LISTENING I used Cambridge IELTS books. I think book 10 to 14 . You can get more and practice with them under real exam conditions. I also did Academic reading tests as their passages are more difficult. SPEAKING I practiced with topics from Ielts Liz. She releases recent topics from time to time. I got a topic I had rehearsed earlier. For me, the goal was to keep on talking to show fluency until I was stopped. In all, just be relaxed on the test day as it's a language you've been conversing in before now. No right or wrong responses, just Speaking skill is tested. WRITING For this, I used slickwrite(You can google it) to help with my grammar. I used sample essays written by tutors and compared the structure with mine. I also printed sample answer sheets and wrote my as much essays and letters as I could on them so I could have an idea of the word count on the test day. You should also learn about various essay structures as the response needed for an opinion essay is different from that of a discussion essay. For me ielts advantage explained this very well(look up Ielts essay structures by Ielts advantage). Also paragraph properly so the examiner can see the coherence. On the exam day, I started with task 2 as it has more marks and of course more time allocation. I hope this helps and all the best! P.S: there's a thread for IELTS, I'm sure you can gets lots of advise and materials from there. Uniqueforce: Please house, those of you who aced their IELTS test in just one attempt please which materials did you use |

Hello All,
While filling my express entry profile, I stated my Uncle who is a Canadian PR. Post ITA, I'm being asked to provide proof of his status. I still left his details there so there won't be any inconsistency between my express entry profile and application. Can someone please advise? Can I take off his details now post ITA or it will be red flag? Thanks |

Thanks Scholar. So I should leave out my high school completely, both express entry and post ITA? Hope it won't result in misrepresentation as my high school is stated on my WES report. scholar: Hello @Berle,
No, you don't have to include your high school as this activity was completed over 10 years ago. Only fill in your history for the last 10 years. |

Pls while completing my express entry entry profile, I filled only my Bachelor's degree, which was what I evaluated. Post-ITA, do I have to include my high school under educational history? I finished high school over 10 years ago, so I'm not sure about placing it in personal history. |

Don’t say this kind of things without facts to back it o. I’m submitting my application this week with mutual funds So please show me |

I'm aware that mutual funds can be used as pof but recently I've read stories of people who almost had their application rejected because their pof was in a mutual fund account(even after attaching notes to explain).
Is it advisable to move my money to a fixed deposit account to avoid any issues? Also how long should the money be in the fixed deposit after I move from mutual funds? Lastly, at what point can I move the money from FD back to mutual funds, after submitting application or after PPR? |

Hello All. I Just want to be sure that I picked the right NOC for my job role. I'm a chartered accountant with a bachelor's degree but my job responsibilities align more with NOC 1311 than NOC 1111. Hope this wouldn't be an issue as the minimum qualification for NOC 1311 is lower( high school degree). Please see responsibilities as stated on my reference letter. • |
