Helen4, welcome to team January. Happy and healthy 9 months to you. I think pcv of 32 is nothing to worry about for now until you are close to edd. Put up your pcv by taking iron/ferrous tabs if you are not on it already and eat plenty of green leafy vegetables. I forsee a new year baby. Congratulations.


Bunny19, I would be worried and race to the hospital. Likely causes from my experience could be low lying placenta + stress(do u bend to sweep?), heavy gbenshing or lifting heavy stuff. Please try to update us with your progress. God is with you and baby.

Mama please how is the swelling? I'm wondering if it isn't too early for your feet to swell. Have you started antenatal? I would have suggested you get your urine and BP checked to be sure it's just normal swelling.

Don't mean to scare you, but just to be safe. You can even check in with any hospital and ask for these tests without necessarily registering for antenatal. In the meantime, try walking about every hour or two if your work demands sitting down often.

I'm very ok. It's just the long hours of sitting and it gets very uncomfortable. I will try the walking around, thanks. I didn't get this experience with my previous pregnancies so it's new to me.

I av been vomiting everyday since Monday and I'm in 39th week. Is it something I should be worried about or its just part of the package. No fever whatsoever. Thanx in anticipation

Team January, am I alone? Lower backache, swollen feet, constipation/purging (depending on the mood of my stomach), heartburn and sweating.

Please someone should tell me how to keep my feet up in the office so they don't get so swollen by the end of the day.

Present oooo Cappo. just got back from the scan center, was hoping to know the sex today but baby has ideas of his/her own, refused to open laps and stay in one place. Everything else is fine thank God, enough kicks oh, especially after i eat or drink. EDD remains the same. No shopping yet, but my eye has been wandering over online shops,. We shall all welcome our LOs in joy and with ease in Jesus name. Amen.

Side note: I learned something new today. The doctor that scanned me mentioned in passing that its good to have the results of previous scans with you, so comparisons on size and growth can be made especially for some internal organs like the bladder and stomach (to be sure baby is producing urine, urinating and swallowing).

Side Side note: I read about tetanus shots, please when should i take them, also preventive anti-malaria?

Thank God for you. For the tetanus shots, please start now. It's about 5 shots for life the schedule is:
1st shot
2nd shot 1 month after
6 months after the 2nd
1 year after the 3rd
1 year after the 4th and you are covered for life.

The kicking no be here o. I'm suspecting it's a boy too cos my girl was very quiet in uteruo but is a lion now. I don't know if I can handle another girl like her o very fiesty sombori very unlike her older brother.

I have a question for new moms, how are you coping with the lack of sleep? Cos I can't get to sleep enough now and I wonder how am going to cope when LO comes.

You will do just fine. What works for me is drop everything and sleep when baby is sleeping. Work no go kee me. I hope it will still work with 2 kids under 5 and a baby.

By now we should be 21, 20, 19, 18 and 17 weeks. I wonder if any of us have checked/seen sex of baby yet. I'm 20 weeks today, I'm really pumped 19 weeks to go, seems just like yesterday when I was puking my guts out. God has been faithful.
