Iomoge2, I'm so happy for you. Please princess Zoey's poo is absolutely normal for a breastfed child. Please allow her empty one breast before offering the other. While she's sucking one, you can use a washcloth to pad the other cos at this stage, breastpads will do nothing for you.

BellaElla, please nobody can love your baby more than you. Na u know wetin u take ur eye and body see when u wan born am. Most of the people who talk do outrageous things to/with their babies behind closed doors, some of them are already feeding pap sef. Just do what is best for baby. My own baby dat is 4 days old people are already saying that she is smaller than her brother at birth, me I'm like "na my small size". No time.

My BS

I want to first first emphasize the need for mothers to pray for all the staff in the hospital and those who will be on duty when you want to have your baby.

So, around 6pm ish I started feeling small cramps, I just waved it off as the normal cramps after walking Coa I just returned from my usual evening walks. By 7:30 I was ready to slap anybody cos of the pains. We immediately headed to the hospital. The nurses just said oya come let's check you only for them to find out dat I was 6cm already .
She just did a sweep and asked me to lie down within an hour my water broke, contractions increased and I was checked again, 8cm hmmmm ok o. I was so happy I will soon meet my baby my brethren na so baby pack one side go stay instead of moving with the contractions. Baby's heartbeat was very stable so nobody tried to augment labour just monitoring and monitoring.
I asked for my husband at the point and I was hugging him with each contractions. If my husband was not around when a contraction hits I will start screaming nurse o my leg, my legs, one will be massaging my legs, I will short again "eh o gala na azu(it's now at my back) nurse will want to leave leg and massage back I will just ask what are you doing? Don't leave my leg o, dats how I had 4 nurses with me dat night 1 for leg, 1 for back, 1 for stomach and standby nurse.

It continued o until 7 am. The midwife was like ur baby doesn't want to come down and I will not change shift until she delivers my baby, she just said baby come down in Jesus name. In less than twenty minutes baby made her descent and entry into the world with one strong push. Instead of my madam to cry, she came out sucking her fingers. D midwife burst into songs of praises and I was crying very heavy tears of joy and asking for my baby while she delivered the placenta, cleaned me up and stitched the little tear baby gave me.
They put her on my chest and I kept crying and crying before I gave her back to be dressed.

I give God all the praise because it was complication free from beginning to end.

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!! Hallelujah!!!

My princess arrived at 7:30 am weighing 3kg.

We have a new mothers /mothers forum here on nairaland, so I don't know what your aim is and the anonymity here on nairaland is perfect.

Aim07 and florena dats how a friend lost her baby last month. She was in labour, went to the hospital was asked to go home and come back later only for "dem say people " to refer her to one trado birth centre where the woman assured her that the baby will rush out after taking one concoction like dat. The baby did rush out but the placenta refused to rush out, she was eventually taken bk to the hospital and the baby died from distress.

Ganjababe, please let her keep the baby. It will be very rough but she will be happy at the end. Let me share a story with you. Our last born is number 6, my mum had him at 42 going on 43 years with no money and via c-section dat was 15 years ago. I remember all the beating I chop through out the pregnancy period and how she battled HBP but today, he's the finest amongst all of us and the tallest sef. She's now the one begging for her baby as everybody is dragging him upandan.
