Congrats to those who have been invited I wish u well. But sincerely, I won't try this again, God bye to NDDC. Well, if those who got the scholarship can please let us know their scores and "self" assessment of their interviews. It will please me to know. Cos after I didn't succeed last year, I put in all efforts and scored 42 this year and I think my interview was fair. I really want to know how NDDC weighed the applicants. Well, I told myself that if I don't get it this year, I will bow out and give chance for the younger generation. Congrats once again. |

stuttMan: See! My problem with answering questions is that many ppl here don't read this thread ! U just ask questions. Some claim they read, but they don't read carefully to understand what's going on. Just some pages ago Eke just talked about the UoAS and normal Uni stuff when he wast trying to respond to somebody that asked of uni of futwagen in a town close to frieburg in Baden- wuttenberg. But am sure u didn't see it. My dear! Just go and read that. Besides ur question is something u can answer ur Sef, na say u just want make person answer u. In my view there is no discrimination, but u must understand that going through a highly ranked uni adds some pride to ur shoulders. Its a natural thing. According to Eke, UoAS is more Practical in their approach of knowledge delivery. Bros, with the little info u have make ur choice on the location. But. I should think that the course u want to truly study, the knowledge u want to get, should influence ur decision. The idea of swapping schools up and down in Germany should not come up when u have made the right choice. The only story I know about this sch changing is this; a friend change his school after interview. He wrote the embassy explaining all details,in that the admission came in late and that's his first choice, and they effected the change. That's the much I know. But, so u could start the process, surely Stuttgart will show up in good time... My advice is settle this sch matter here, don't go jumping in Germany. I heard only indians have had much success with that in germany, not much naija sha. Abeg settle this location matter here, don't even think of swapping in Germany, cos u may be frustrated if things don't play out well, just cool down and think through . especially when u are using a sponsor letter.. Hmmmm dat one sef dey somehow. I think it may be easier with blocked acct. This money matter and city correlation wey dey go on here is not really how it works. Baba. ! Na God, just prepare. You have read a lot of what needs to be done to get jobs (ict, language skills etc) About the towns don't know much, but try toytown, expat blog etc. Ohhhh, I see ur questions have been answered! Ok Best regards |

Kelvinpam: My dear, the only answer is that, these set of Nigerians are simply stupid. They are very annoying. Sometimes I just ignore , the other times am moved by compassion to help. Except the School ask for certification by the Embassy, it is foolishness to queue up to certify documents there. The high court in Enugu, charge 30naira per page. Why would a fool, travel from here to lagos to certify documents. 1 Like |

GoldHorse: I just love you ! Kaaaiiiii if only u can see the love in my heart . Now my idea: Let's say one of or computer gurus ,design an app or a web platform linked with Nairaland interface where we go to update our progress. Let's say, I get applied to 5 schools, I go to the web solution and register my actions, and admission is offered I go there and select the schools that offered me admission. Then probably select the one I am going to. What this means is that as we click on a person's nairaland profile, there is a link that connects the person to the web to track progress. This will solve a lot of problem, no need to come here to ask for Nigerians in this sch or that school. All dis will be solved by a click on the search button. This web solution will have security details as nairaland,as u can only see info a person allows to u to see. And possible access to fellows will be made a lot easier. Indat u can pm the person and when the person accepts ur request, u get futher details and direct communication. But on the other hand u will be able to see 70% of every ones progress on the german move and the remaining 30% for private info like age, home address, direct mobile contact etc, blocked acct status lol ! Etc iff the person permits u to have access to such info ? This idea can be further developed. |

shuni05: I was shouting this ! Only Justwise got the point . Now the truth is coming out. You see why am interested in the prosperity of Nigeria, but our people will not listen. We are too stubborn. Imagine the image we have created in that particular department. "Nigerian applicants are focused on oil jobs " So what this means is that, out of the millions of apps they receive, don't waste too much time on the Nigerian apps cos they will always talk about oil jobs, because na only them get oil. They will believe, u did not do your research about their course properly, cos if u did, u will know that they are not focused on oil exploration. The best I can do is Advice. Please brothers and sisters, do thorough research about a course, dept and school before you apply. Go as far as assessing the lecturers and the research areas, it will give u a hint if the dept is best fit for what u want to do. Don't just apply because the course sounds related to your Bsc course. Make an informed application, am not against multiple application, or applying to 10 schools if you want. All I am saying is make informed moves. Trust me if you search thoroughly, you may end up applying to like 5. Ok bye! Cc: Eke. My dear Nigerian brother, thank you for extracting this info, na only beer parlour fit do this kind magic. I go try take some lecturers too to bar, make I get insider info. Pls other Nigerians in Germany, can help get info on how applications from Nigeria are faring in their schools. We can drive a social change through this platform brothers ! Its not just about germany , its about Nigeria too. I know about 70% of us will come back to Naija, the question is what do we want to come back to ? A nigeria in shambles, when u sit back and tell the then applicants "that in our days, it wasn't this tough ". God forbid. My prayer is to say " wooooww, I didn't know these guys want you Nigerians that badly , and here u are considering to finish up in UNN or UI before thinking of going any where " that's my prayer . |

Am sorry to let you know that Heaven will not honour you because you are breaking a principle. Engaging spiritual forces does not demand that you break spiritual or natural laws! Hmmmmmm ! Following my last posts! There have been revelations that shook the foundations of my German University admission knowledge. Thanks to scofield! Eke ! and others ! Well, your stories I must confess got me thinking . However, I still think some truths I shared holds water in these experiences. Now I see ! But eke some things still baffle me! How would one person apply to 13 different schools for admission to study probably 6 - 8 different programmes. With claims that he or she is passionate about them . Well I don't disapprove of multiple applications oooooo ! All am saying is let's make informed apps and bury the hatchet. If I were Germany, I will introduce a central system of admission for masters programme, just like finland . to stop this imbalance. How would a person get 13 and some others get nothing. Scofield ! Trust me, its not easy to go back to your pile of application documents after a date to look for other people to send the acceptance of application after u have sent them rejection. Now not all schools ask you to accept the offer, some just send you the admission letter and follow up mails. And that's all. Ok now if the school sends you to accept, they wait till say a month for u to respond. Then if you say No, they now contact those who they have sent rejection letters to pls ignore the rejection and accept the offer. Hmmmmm! Well let's say they have a way to sort these things out. But my brothers I must tell you these things are not as easy as we think. I have worked with a team to handle post graduate enrolment in a varsity in Nigeria. These things are not as easy as u think. They are humans too, especially when the applicants didn't pay application fee? Why do u think these schools in US and co charge app fees? Save for Uk, their own be say na competition Unis dey do for Uk, although na school fees money them dey take recover. Well, I reaLly don't know how to explain this thing for here make we understand am. Anyways this is my final post on this matter. Let's move on. Besides Eke! We need to investigate why our ppl are getting rejections. Its becoming too much. I suspect something. Is going wrong some where. Let's see how to stop this now ? Peace ! |

Cc: @ william , tanks for the highlight of the main point. Hello guys, Anytime u make applications please be realistic. This is the problem with Nigerians and Jamb . Half of the population apply for medicine ! Y ? Ignorance and unrealistic dreams. I was a victim too, I did apply for medicine. But now I know better. When u know you don't have what it takes, why not respect your old age . For me, just like Nevile bode, I have a jotter I call "german Move". Every info about German movement is there. I get a lot from this thread tooo. I put dem down with dates. This helped me to make inform app, if u study this thread from the first page way back 2006. You will observe that people are becoming lazy and clueless this days. And this down thread of things, affects not just them but a lot of things they can't see or imagine. I am seeing these things and Noting them. That's the decline going on. In my next post I will tell u y german schools are now asking us for english test this days. Its our failure to handle things right. If you are observant that was not the case before things are changing. University of Duisburg-Essen introduced english test this year, it was not so last year. I no some persons will say why are we shying away from the english test (@ neville) . But bro, when a yoruba guy come dey teach me igbo, e get as e be! English is our first language! Besides, nigeria dash those English test firms millions of dollars every year, we can't keep telling oyibos that every thing here is rubbish, now that they accept our four year study in English, let's hold it there. If we don't stop dis, Germans will begin to query our degree certificate and ask our successors for GRE. Big thanks to our big brothers in Germany, they are doing us proud, germans value our apps because our guys dey do well in german varsities, graduating tops in their class. Let me stop here, after I will trash this. Somebody was saying something here about grading system change, yes... Its happening! People that will feel the impact is next year applicants. If you doubt come back here next year and see for your sef. I am only trying to protect our pride and future generations from disrespect. We speak better English than these germans, when u get to germany u will see you are better than some of your teachers. You go even they fear to use big words, because they may not understand. Sorry guys I am going too deep. I am a development expert, I study trends. We must defend this nation, we must protect our race. And every thing we hold strong. 7 Likes |

Obiwannn: The question is y was a first class rejected by two institutions ? Thank God one accepted him. But, I don't believe in half stories, ask him to tell you d reasons. Oyibo must tell you reason ! If u observe he must have ignored one or two important requirements, thinking his first class will blindfold oyibo ? You don't do things that way? Your first class don't move them, disobey one instruction and they will wash you. I sure say u never jam winchy admission coordinator we be woman, wey dey vex, wey also get some atom of racial bias.hmmmmmm! ...lol! If you jam that type, hmmmmm! Dem go finish your career. |

Another question for nelly guy! If na uni-assit would u have applied to 8 schools ? Now use d same wisdom, to apply for non Uni-assit schools. Don't just flood your documents every where. I applied to 3 schools, The first one talk say my app deliver late, they even begged me to allow my app to be considered for next year. I reapplied them accordingly. Well no be their fault sha, na that elections period cause am. Infact na my fault because I suppose calculate well. The blame is mine, I could have sent it months ago. The remaining two offered me admission. Now,na only one I go...go , I can't be in two places at same time. I dey prepare my reply to the other school now,say make them no vex . For all of you wey apply to 10 non- un-assit schools, abeg make sure you write them when u make your final choice, abeg no litter them. But, if u applied through uni-assit I have no issues with u cos na ur money, u paid for the service . So u are free to apply to 500 na ur money dey talk. But its honourable to reply the ones that rejected you, trust me they will be bitter, the quality of candidate they just lost. University Education is being worthy in character and learning. Cos as the Vice chancellor of the University of Nigeria (2030) I know I will accept some students based on their distinctive character. Little things matter ! "Sorry" would have averted the Biafran war. Lol ! Then we wey dey enjoy the alawi we german schools dey share, abeg make we respect ourselves. Let's show the whiteman that an average black man is sensible, we re no fools, and ungrateful entities. That we are black and proud. That our culture respects procedures and we do things right. 2 Likes |

nellyb24: Eke! I know you encourage this but this is just too much, its obvious that this person must have applied for 7 difft courses that he most likely would not qualify for all . See these things we are doing is affecting the image of this country, what if all of them accept and u didn't even show up dis year, probably because Buhari gives u an appointment or blocked account tries to ginger ur swagg. Brothers, it simply shows that we do not do a lot of research on our course of study, city etc. Na dis kind attitude they make most schools join UNi- assist. See how dis guy use his applications they block every where, simply because u dey avoid uni -assist money. This is greed in a subtle way. hope u have blocked account money ? Guys ! Let's be modest in our actions, act wisely. Don't be selfish, let's think of other people behind. If we block the way, how will others get admission. As for this nelly guy! Supposing all the schools gives him admission, what it means is that he has denied 6 Nigerians n opportunity simply because its cheap to apply to a non-unassit school, then using Nipost makes it a sweet dream. We have made efforts to route out ways to help our fellow nigerians. Pls less all be modest. If you do your research well, there is no need apply for millions of schools, you will just know schools that are likely to offer u admission. Let's stop making a mockery of the process. My advice, do your research well, know what u want to study (u can't study every thing), select 3 or 4 schools nd in a worst case scenario 5. Do your app well. That's all. And when you make your final choice, please write back to the other schools nicely, telling them you that you appreciate their offer but you won't be joining them this time. Pls do this. Just imagine after your application they didn't contact you to tell u if u where accepted or not! How will u feel ? Even sometimes, if they don't notify us that they have received our apps, I notice a lot of people come here to lament. The reason is ; so that they can give ur space to someone else who is on the waiting list. And that will put Nigerians in good light. Its wise to notify a person you have contract with that you are no longer interested , than keeping the person hanging. Trust me, if we continue this way, every app from naija will be treated with dignity. Thanks everybody. 10 Likes |

Well! Finally, I had my interview on saturday. Met some Nairaland brothers and sisters, didn't know I made so much impact in the lives of people. Guys, be cautious of your post, you are touching a soul somewhere. Some persons said they were happy to meet me in person. I was humbled by their words. They made me feel so cool, thanks for the love. I will continue the good work. No 5k was given, they said the money released has finished. I don't want to waste my energy on the matter, but I must express my disappointment. I am tired of complaining about our system in this nation. Well, I will trash this issue another time. However, I met one thin guy like dat, with effiminate traits, wey just dey speak English dey jinger about the money, him dey talk say him dey disappointed in the youths of Niger delta, on how we Accept the story wey NDDC people yan for the matter! I just laugh the guy... Because if e reach to revolt, him go just walk like woman sneak out. As for the money, have in mind that its not a statutory right, rather its a voluntary welfare package from NDDC. Know that the budget for the transport allowance was done months ago, NDDc could not have envisaged the exact number that will pass the CBT. However am not ruling out PDP tins... After all na their way. Some persons fit don pocket saturday ppl money. So if u must attack the matter, pls do logically. With good reasoning. If you come from the angle of misappropriation that may make sense, although its subject to clarifications before a judge, as its only alleged. On the process, what I will say is NDDC is still underperforming . Geekeew, stanley, Atieme, emmanuel, chioma, and all others, its a pleasure. I bless saturday for meeting u guys. |
