Politics / Re: Nigerians Protest In London Over Jonathan's Dictatorial Tendencies by betrani(m): 7:29pm On Jun 05, 2013
"Paid Mob" some people are at london's comfort mercies and fail to see beyond what the white man believes! the fact about Nigeria is one which even the best analysts quiver when faced with a debate of sort! there hasn't been anytin tyrannic or dictatorial about jonathan in comparison with sponsored violence in syria, afghanistan, iraq and a host of many others! seems to me that everyone is being sympathetic with a sect whose terrorism has no justification and demands "molten iron fists" when Mr. Gej didn't act at the "wee hours" of the boko haram menace, we called him all sorts of names and made him feel the guilt of his own "inability and incompetence" as a leader, now he has acted based on what we demanded, some people who haven't lost a loved one to terrorist attacks feel it is a duty to go on air and spew trash in the name of protests! I pray london sees more of the drama people experienced when Boko haram was on the drivers seat in the North; so they can know the difference between peace and confusion!
Politics / Re: APC Leaders Angry With Buhari Over State Of Emergency Comments by betrani(m): 10:02am On Jun 05, 2013
jjcbuthot:

You are not going to vote for him before.

Can you paste the full text of the interview where he said the emergency is anti-north?

I know Buhari is opposed to the emergency ruling just like other key members of APC. They have all made their position known and their position has been use more of intelligence than force. Force will only result in too much civilian casualty.

The question is, can we say we won the war against Boko Haram without capturing their key leaders like Shekau and not apprehending their sponsors? To do this requires more of intelligence than force and this is when we can say the war has been won.
u should b ashamed of urself! Ur still asking for interview? When he actually granted it 3 days ago both in bbc hausa and english radio service!

oche_ejemb: Again a misleading headline from these joker mods who dont seem to read the post properly before putting on the front page. Without any facts and figures, any form of quantitative analysis, how can you come out and declare that Techno is the leading smartphone brand in Nigeria? It does make sense that they may become very popular especially if they open up a plant and can deliver acceptable quality phones for much cheaper prices, however this has not yet happened so declaring them as the leading smartphone (and not even mentioning Blackberry who are still the undoubted leader as far as Nigeria is concerned) is premature and unsubstantiated.
Op wasn't affirmative! That topic is a question! It isn't an assertion!

Bigcake: USA is simply bringing dis fuctards to limelight n further sympathy frm their fellow jihadist. And their next plan is to establish a military base in northern Nigeria. Endtime, one world government in the making.
Most people don't knw what this is about! I totally agree with u! David Icke's revelations clearly states who the actual terrorists are but some people here think about America's help and assume as well as believe its a favour! I pity us! One world government is what these devils are driving at! And when the say "chip every one" people think its for the Americans alone! Atms, sim cards, other biometrics are already carrying RFIDs! And like they said "the people would ask for them" thats what we do everyday! These guys are sponsoring terror attacks to instil fear in people then coming to deceive them with some lies!"problem, reaction, solution" thats the theory Icke said this is about!

omaigala: IMO, I'd rather, the whole northern elders should come together and delegate people to meet with boko haram an1mals, tell them that evangelism only succeed through good deeds and acts, through standard life styles...

Let them know that verbal and peaceful jihad (evangelism) by talking to people one on one, through various media will yield more.

How can they kill people whom they haven't even preach to before?

Thank God I am a christian... Infact, those boko demons are delusional.

Dee60: Can Fulanis stop grazing on people's farmlands? This is 2013. For how long would they remain nomads?

Nigerians do not realize that this is potentially another BH matter! Powerful elements in Nigeria are rallying behind the Fulanis and that is giving them the guts to continue to graze around, even on other people's farms. Why make money destroying other people's means of livelihood? There must be a solution.

This group would not have been if farmlands were not grazed. I dont want to take sides but there should be a solution for this grazing. The Fulanis need to buy land and keep ranches, or FG should buy for them. I also will not accept if I am a farmer and all my crop is destroyed by travelling nomads. Not in 2013, please!
This is so wrong! Grazin on farmlands isn't acceptable, but re u going to b importing beef?

Rexyl: Going by responses here and analyses of some facts it is clearly shown that Buhari has traded his worth as a notable figure in the national interest to secure a place of dishonour. He has continued with this by his inability to kick against and condemn the evils that has for long demoted his profile and put his character to rubbish. I pity his likes and those preparing to join him instead of helping him to realize how he has fumbled so that he be corrected on time. There is no gain praising the terror.
Of what use is the phrase "how he has fumbled" to an iliterate man!

But in any case,if buhari actually make such assertive statement, it say a lot of the man who had always wanted and still wants to return to Aso Rock. Come to think of it, this insurgency has been going on for a long time now, what stopped Buhari from proffering a better solution as a statesman, bt no! He kept mute only to cal for GEJ's head now that d SOE is in place. Innocent people had lost their lives in d hands of BH, but never for once was Buhari heard saying anything.
No! General, we do mot agree with u on this one.

Black Swan:

I can't believe this. There is nothing in the story to indicate that the girl was a gold digger, why are you trying to justify the man's actions by bringing this up? Besides nobody forced the man to give the girl money so he has no reason to be angry if she gets tired of him and leaves the relationship. If money is his problem then he should have asked her for a refund of everything he spent on her instead of pouring acid on her and scarring her for life.

There is no justification for what the man did.
