The writer may have raised valid points, but this appears to me as protection-seeking and blackmail. PMB must not be dissuaded by these WITCHES. He must stay focused on the agenda no matter whose ox is gored. They must all be HUNTED down! |
The opposition and the Separatists always feel terrible & frustrated seeing things that look like progress, cos they fear that their plans have just been set back a few years. To express their frustration, they resort to slanderous and ridiculous denigration of the president. But at 72, a former HOS and a former army general, Baba has already seen it all - and right now he is too focused on his agenda of Change to have the time to dignify these morons with a response. |
You mean to tell me that as a private citizen, Atiku Abubakar cannot go to NIMC office to register for his National ID? I guess these lot are still above the law. The new NIMC boss is a complete !mbecile and a disgrace to the Change administration - rubbish! |
Commendable, if he truly means it. But something tells me he is merely being true to type and learning fast the hypocrisy that has come to be known of Nigerian politicians. |
Sweetlemon:And if reread what I wrote, you will notice "atleast untill another party emerges". I'll be very glad to welcome KOWA or any other party as long as they will be formidable enough to provide a credible opposition. |
GeneralBK:Your deep-seated blinded prevented you from seeing that he is standing in the second row and not the first row as you claimed. |
tayebest:Then you need to look again. China is slowly establishing itself as the next world power. China is standing tall as a shining beacon and an inspiration to other Asian countries. How I wish we had a country in Africa that would lead the continent and the entire black race - but alas, the Giant is a cripple. |
Even as a sympathizer to the APC cause, I would like to see PDP win Bayelsa state - why? (1) Sylva didn't do too well in his first term so I doubt what he is coming to offer this time around. Dickson himself is a failure, I know. (2) As much as I disliked Jonathan's government, I think it will be really embarrassing for him to loose his state. (3) PDP needs to still hold a number states to have the capacity to offer credible opposition to the APC, atleast until another party emerges. The last thing Nigeria needs right now is another behemoth of a party, which usually leads to arrogance and complacency. |
The points you raised are valid, but I want to offer some other perspective. Nigeria operates a Federal system of government. PMB is the leader of the Federal Government while the Governors are leaders of their State Governments. In a Federal system of government, the president does not necessarily interfere with governance at the state level except it becomes an issue of national interest. The president does not even have a say on how much goes to a State - it is all set in our fiscal laws. PMB is currently fighting corruption in the Federal Government, because he has information at his disposal at that level to fight it. At the state level, governors should also fight corruption of their predecessors since they have information concerning state transactions at their disposal. I am not aware of PMB hounding anyone from the state. It appears that he is hounding only PDP member, that is because it was PDP who have been running the Federal Government for which he leads now. State governors should also take the gauntlet and fight their predecessors with irrefutable facts if they have such evidence - but ofcourse they won't since "he who comes to equity must come with clean hands" and they are as guilty as anyone else. Do you expect the president to go to Lagos and Rivers state government house to start asking for information to prosecute Amaechi and Fashola? What is the responsibility of those State Governors? We pay too much attention to the Federal Government while allowing the State Governors to be irresponsible. Please hold those governors responsible for what goes on in their states. |
pillarmaria:Can you imagine what would happen if everyone who is stricken by poverty turns to crime? |
Just when you think you've heard enough, the Web of Conspiracy widens. Nigerian leaders have always raped the treasury, but the PDP and GEJ took it to a whole new level. With such mismanagement in the face of high oil prices, one can only imagine what would have become of the economy if those team of bandits were still in charge of the country with such low oil prices now. |
Sooner or latter, all the "scattered dots" will be connected and the full picture will become obvious even to the blind. Discerning minds know that the president is busy making strategic int'l alliances for full onslaught on Terrorism, Corruption and Foreign Direct Investments. |
northvietnam:But it was ok for the East to show their hatred towards Buhari during the elections? |
We can blame Colonialism all we like, but I have come to conclude that Africans have enslaved fellow Africans a thousand times more than what the Europeans did. How can you have a country where it is "normal" for lecturers to receive bribe from students, police glaringly extort money from citizens on the road, public officials comfortably loot state funds. Are we normal or just plain animalistic? We've got no capacity to figure out or do anything productive for ourselves. Everything we do is borrowed or imported: (1) System of Governance (2) System of Worship (3) System of Education (4) Science & Technology, etc Yet still we cannot even copy well. The only thing we do so well is corruption and witchcrafty. We've had zero contribution to the progress and advancement of humanity. And when you come to a forum like NL to hear warped opinions expressed by the youths, then every shred of hope disappears. |
I agree with the OP that the travels by the president has not been state visits; they have largely been Conferences, Summits, or Strategic meetings. Most of the criticism are from three groups: (1) Genuine folks who do not fully understand the strategic importance of such meetings (2) The opposition who, understandably, will find fault with every move of the sitting government (3) The Separatists who would like to see Nigeria collapse, so they are frustrated seeing intl alliances that might strengthen the Union |
Karanka:I voted for him in 2011 & 2015, that should tell you how much I believe in him. While he may not have hit the ground running in line with the high expectations, his actions have been largely in order. |
Sooner or latter, all the "scattered dots" will be connected and the full picture will become obvious even to the blind. Right now, you don't have to believe that his trips are meaningful - afterall you didn't even believe in him in the first place. But discerning minds know that PMB is busy making strategic int'l alliances for full onslaught on Corruption and Foreign Direct Investments. At 72, a former Head of State, and a former Army General, he has seen it all and cannot be moved my empty online rants. The man is only driven by a single-mindedness of purpose to liberate this country from the phangs of the "Cabal" who have been feeding fat from the former status quo of chaos and lawlessness. |
explorer250:Now it is obvious to me that your Biafra does not mean sh*t, except it includes the SS. I repeat, you will be resisted with every means should you try to come near Akwa Ibom State. |
Nwaonyeke042:And if I may ask, what is the obsession with the SS? If you want out of Nigeria, then by all means go your own way and leave others out of it. Why do you feel aggrieved that you are forced to be part of Nigeria, but then you find it justifiable to force others to be part of your contraption. |
Nwaonyeke042:You can continue in your delusion. Whatever you do within, make sure you don't come near Akwa Ibom State. |
explorer250:Then you should also realize that it is not by force for me to join your contraption. |
And I ask again - does the bill cover politicians and political parties who always make baseless and false accusations at each other. Fayose, FFK, Metuh, et al have been publicly accusing and denigrating PMB all along without substantiating their claims. Are they going to jail? |
ckmayoca:Apparently I was trying to refer to SS, not ND. My bad. |
Maxi112:Then you should also speak for yourself alone. I support Biafra as long as it has nothing to do with my state or tribe. The Biafra struggle is a selfish one - simply because they are hoping to take advantage of the Oil & waterways of the ND. If they are tired of Nigeria, let them go and stay in their landlocked country. |
If the purpose of this writeup is to coopt the ND region into your misguided agenda, then you better get it very clear that you lot are completely on your own in this struggle and we wish you well. The ND shall determine at the appropriate time if we want to remain in the Union or if we will go our own way. The Biafra struggle is an IGBO struggle and no Ibibio man shall be a part of it. |
Seconded! |

Does the bill cover politicians and political parties who always make baseless & false accusations at each other? FAYOSE, FFK, Metuh, et al have been accusing and denigrating PMB all along without evidence or substantiating their claims. The Senators should be properly guided! |
Let's provide some more perspective: Throughout Fayose's 8yr tenure as governor, the total amount of money he will receive from FAAC and IGR is less than $2b. |
Kennydoc:Noted. I now understand what the issues are. |
“As your Governor and the Chief Security Officer of the state, I am compelled to act to avert any likely breakdown of law and order. In all situations, the preservation of human life comes first and I am determined to enforce that,” Governor Obiano declared.Statesmanly! |
Maybe I have a comprehension problem or the report is just unintelligible. Are the youths not aware that MTN has been compelled by NCC to deactivate all unregistered lines? Or are they not aware of the N1.04T fine hanging on MTN neck? |
