My sister I understand totally how you feel down to the "f". Don't worry ok, your baby will be fine. Some mamas here said prolly she didn't know but really ignorance is no excuse. Right from when my baby was in my belle, I started singing it like a song "don't give my baby anything in his mouth unless I okay it", so I'm known for that. Even though my son is almost 2years old, that rule still applies, sometimes I get tired of responding self but it really saved my life. Please for the sake of peace and also for your own emotional wellbeing, go and apologize but let her know that what she did was very very wrong (apart from it being cold and stuffs, you don't know the condition of where it was prepared, the materials used in preparing it too). Tell her how "her" baby reacted to the ice cream. Refuse to be emotionally blackmailed. Even adults sometimes react to ice cream(atleast I do) not to talk of a 5weeks old baby. Also like one mama said you should have voiced out even if its jokingly that giving that 9months old baby ice cream was wrong, I believe that incident might have been saved.
If your culture demands that you kneel down and beg her, please do, if not, abeg don't. Don't overdo it biko. Above all, let her know that what she did was wrong and let her also know that she spreading lies about you isn't good either.

Sisters come to my aid o, I was admitted yesterday cos of spotting though it stopped in the evening. Primolut injection and diazepam tab were given to me and I was placed on bedrest but just now I see drops of brown spot again, honestly I'm getting worried.

I surely know I'll carry my children to term.

Brown spot isn't really a cause for concern unless it is accompanied by stomach ache. It's when it's bright red that you should really panic. But for now, pls observe bed rest ok. Also the fact that you are carry multiple can cause some bububuhahaha in your system. You definitely will carry your children to term. It is God's promise to you. It is well with you.

That's just it! Beating a toddler isn't the way to curb such behaviour. I've asked and seen other moms going thru same with their wards I'm convinced it will pass.
It's our duty to make sure they don't injure them selves or other in this process! I keep remotes and other weighty objects out of his reached so even if he must throw it won't be anything injurious.
They can so get on your nerves most times but I try to chill and count to 10 before I correct him with a calm and stern voice. Beating from childhood made me distance myself from my mom emotionally that till date i find it difficult to confide in her! I don't remember the nights she stayed awake watching over my sick ass BUT vividly remember the canes and yell!
I dont want my child to grow up distancing his feelings from me due to repressed memory of beatings.
A little smack here and there isn't bad but it shouldn't be a constant way of correction! Ask those that beat if it did any good? Other than make the child afraid and withdrawn?

Hian!!! Shuo!!! I can't deal with these pikin traits you people are sharing o. Me I beat well, my son of 2 and 7months have been receiving Cain from bad behaviour since before he was 2. You will just use his age to beat him or her & you will see changes. How can a child not fear his or her parents when scolding them? I can't deal& the worst part is that if you don't beat to correct them at home when you go out and they repeat the same thing in the presence of strangers there is nothing you will say that they will listen and strangers will now be like this woman cannot even correct and control her child. Me I beat ooo because them beat me too and the kind beating my parents gave me made me today. I beat when its obvious what he did is wrong and I praise when he does Right. Before anytime you collect something from him or correct him of something he will fall on the floor with his head and start crying, what rubbish? After I and dh dealt with him he doesn't do it again, of he wants to cry, stand straight & do your crying till you are okay. My dh will say its better for him to cry than for him to injure himself and cause another thing.
Anyways with each parents to their training but I beat cos my parents beat me and looking back now am happy for all.
