When did u do ur IT ma? D satchel water dey sell now can't be seal with hot iron, dey r machine filled. And d machine seal at once. when d satchel water came into d markert, every dick and harry ar jst packaging it, but today, its no longer like that, b4 u set up a factory, dia r procedures u jst ve to follow, d satchel u see dis day cant be sealed with hot iron. U can try it. D factory u worked with, guess dey produce on bottled water. For those producing both satchel and bottled, dt is d procedure. Am a food technologist and a public analyst.

@sugah, most of d factory operate with NAFDAC standard operating procedure, d water most must be treated b4 it goes into dt satchel u r seeing.

D issue wit dis pure water is not in d sophisticated producers,it goes deep. If a company is producing both bottled n satchet water,u shld definitely get a good product 4rm them. I'm nt talking abt dem, I'm talking abt d producers dat produce 4rm their "backyard", trust me,dey dnt hv nafdac nos,dey just print stuffs on d satchet n dey seal it wit hot iron. It's being done n ppl patronize dem. We hv a long way to go in dis country.
During my IT,we used to analyse our products using Eva n nestle water as control samples. Unfortunately,even eva water didn't really meet up bt nestle did. As u r an analyst,I'd lyk to encourage u to get 10 satchets of pure water 4rm random sellers/hawkers(100 naira),tk it to ur lab,analyze it n come tel me wat u found out,they r killing us softly as sad as that sound,its d truth.

Btw,I did my IT in 2013,so it hasn't really been dat long n seeing as there hasn't been any really positive change lyk dat in our country,one cannot blame me if I also say that there hasn't been any change in dis pure water meme.

U shld hv talked ooo even if u no fit shout when u were informed,seriously,this z nt a keeping quiet case. I'm sorry to say this,just imagine she has HIV or any of these blood related diseases.

Pls dear mothers,ensure u r informed abt wat enters ur baby's mouth oooo,I kent shout. As controlling as my mil z she knws dat I'm sorely responsible 4wateva enters my baby's mouth 4now,wen em reach 2yrs,u can bombard him wit wtv. If nytin happens to ur child,na u dem go stil blame. God help us all.

Hi mommy,pls I beg to differ in what u said abt pure water being better than bottled water. It's really nt d case. I did my IT in a water Bottling Company,there z a specific machine(3-in-1dispensery) dat z used in filling these bottles,it rinses d bottoe,fills it n caps d bottle enclosed in that machine. NOBODY has any contact wit d water dat z entering into d bottle.

As a quality control personnel,I have visited most places where all this pure water stuffs are being made,most of dem just get their regular tap water n even wit a hot iron u can seal d satchet. 

Dats why ppl are advised to go 4 good bottled water n nt all these kweke kweke u c on d street,Naija z messed up as it z,its left 4u to tk charge of ur health.

A lady left her 2months old baby with a friend at my mum's shop. She went into the market to buy some stuff. After she left, her baby started crying uncontrollably and the baby is on EBF(exclusive breast feeding).
The friend couldn't endure the baby's cries anymore and guess what she did?

She bought satchet water, opened it and started giving the 2months old baby.

My mum tried to intervene but the friend said she is tired of the cries and the water wont kill the baby.
I dont think the lady values her friend's baby at all. It was so surprising

I actually plan to ask my doctor that question at my next doctors visit... although mamas here said to clean with olive oil and cotton wool, my matron in Naija said to just clean with water when you are bathing. But considering that I haven't seen any milk or liquid come out of my nipples even with pressing, im a bit worried hence my decision to ask my doctor.

U can repeat d procedure too,mayb u shld try it. I learnt it cause I had dat bullet after I gave birth,wana kep d knowledge incase it happens again wen I give birth again.

Wat I did wen it happend to me though was to get very ripened pawpaw n I ate it,it made my stool very soft n easy to pass tru,also tak lots of water n reduce starchy food,esp yam.. U can eat rice wit veggies too. Pele ok.

My bestie's parents gave birth to 3gals,d mum z a nurse n d dad is a lecturer,dey gave their gals all d best dey could emotionally,spiritually n academically. D big sis n my bestie r married now n nt in Nigeria n dey r doing too well. Dey hv built a home 4dia parents,dia dad has dropped his v-boot tey tey. Those gals r wow. Dia baby Sis Bukky z making waves in her choice of study in unilag..

Bottom line z dey trained their gals well.
