Car Talk34 Year Old Nigerian Man Who Can't Drive: Normal? by beyonce1(op): 1:59am On Jun 20, 2006
A 34 Year Old Nigerian Man Who Doesn't Know How To Drive A Car? Normal?

O.K, I just had a chat with a friend of mine, she's just got hooked up with this guy based in Nigeria, the problem she claims she's having is that the guy says he does'nt know how to drive a car, not to talk of owning one!

Now don't get me wrong here, she is not a goldigger, she just refuses to accept that at this very age and time any guy above the age of 25 years should at least have the courage to handle a car, especially in Nigeria where driving rules are not too rigid, also she claims that it's a form of psychological way of assessing how adventurous and strong will powered an individual is?

I mean honestly speaking I tried to convince her against this belief but then, I would like you to share your views, Even as a girl, I started my own driving curiosity when I was 13 years, either begging our driver or a friend's.

Can one honestly use this to ascertain a man's willingness to take risk? Or is he just slow?

BusinessRe: What Business Can Invest Into With N2,000,000? by beyonce1(f): 4:52am On Jun 17, 2006
bolaoni:
Why don't you jus invest in a viable Internet business. You don't even need up to #100, 000 if you will be running it from home.

There are 1001 things to do online even at the comfort of your home.

#Web Hosting

#Selling Online

#Google Adwords

#Network marketing

#Resale Rights Marketing et al

All these businesses are thriving and you don't need to break the bank to get into them.

All you need though is an education! You won't make a dime online if you are not willing to get the education.

I remember in 2003 when I lost as much as 140k by just investing in online businesses when i don't even understand a jack and all because i read Tuesday Guardina and seeing an headline screaming: "YOU CAN MAKE $5000 EVERY WEEK ONLINE!"

I got wiser afterwards and decided to learn how instead of putting my money into someone's hands.
@BOLAONI

Please shed more light on this, it would be helpful. what sort of education will I need ? I have been an accountant for over 6yrs now and I am now just sick and tired of managing other people's money. I don't mind studying for any course connected to constantly being online. I am obsessed with surfing ! but honestly speaking pls break this 'list' of yours down for a networking 'DUMMY' like me ! PLS DO HELP ! A.S.A.P !

Here is what I tell people:

Finally, I end with something I read about 4 years ago: If you are not proud enough to tell your friends and family what you do for a living, then you are not ready to be self-employed. Humility is key.

That's my 2 cents
@2cents

I wonder if u knew how much u touched my life here ? ----- just yesterday I sat down for more than a couple of hours and actually drew out a plan of starting a 'particular' part-time self-employed work . but this line of yours made me totally change my mind. of course I'd always start using this as a bottom point . and I've just sincerely asked myself if I'd be bold enough to boast about it-----. THANKS ONCE AGAIN.

RomanceRe: Girls! Would You Collect A Gift From A Man You Dont Want? by beyonce1(f): 1:41am On May 24, 2006
right ! check this out,,,, I met this guy at a friend's party, we got on talking and discovered he works just a few buildings from my work place, my birthday was actually 4 days away , he took me down to a jewelry shop to pick up my birthday gift, of course I chose a nice set wink. then He insisted on buying me a whole computer set, I started getting quite uncomfortable with all these cos he never stops coming to take me out for lunch, I did confront him to ask him for the reasons behind these expenditures 'flow' he just smiled. My friends said I was greedy to accept the jewelry set from him ! anyway I started avoiding his calls even though he left messages that he'd come to pick me from work again to get me the computer set, the most hilarious day was the day I found out that he could actually see me seated right at my desk from across the road through the window cheesy and all along I told our receptionist to tell him I was off sick ! cheesy,,, but really would blame me for accepting the jewelry set?
LiteratureRe: James Hadley Chase Novels: Share Your Experience by beyonce1(f): 12:20am On May 24, 2006
cry cry cry These are tears of a joyous memories  cry cry cry James Hardley Chase !  My 1st was WANT TO STAY ALIVE featuring Poke Toholo, I picked it from my Dad's Library I was only 10yrs then . I was on punishment u know the old' detention then when u get sent into a room NOT to come out until u were told to. I was actually meant to be reading a book packed with disney stories ,,, Cinderella, sleeping beauty etc, but out of curiosity I just picked this novel, even though there were some parts which my young brain couldn't figure out then but it was so so interesting that I eventually got called more than ten times that day just to have my dinner  cheesy grin waoh forgetting I was actually serving a punishment  cheesy . Since then I got so addicted to my father's Library which was packed with most of JHC's novel. in the later years my friends started refering to me as a TOMBOY because they were stuck with reading Mills and Boons . I didn't quite dig M&B's stories then because' I thought they were very predictable , ,,, as in girl meets boy, they started off as enemies then later fall in love  angry but trust JHC ! always put you on the edge of your seat. People also had a misconception of the contents because of the pictures on the hardcover.

These novels almost made me go crazy, I mean if I saw a stranger with any one which I had not read I definitely strike up a conversation and stole a flip through  cheesy  or found a way of borrowing it !

Could you recollect the one with the st christopher's medal necklace  gosh ! ehm ehm I think there was a crime and the guy thought he'd dropped the neckchain at the scene, ran away from town but eventually found it while he was trying to change his clothes ? this ended the very chapter ?

Talk about the Quiz @Jalal thumbs up to u for those refereshers  wink ONE BRIGHT SUMMER MORNING ' ! shebi it was that one with those ruthless twins boy and girl shey ?

JAMES HARDLEY CHASE most common motto:- ELIMINATE THE MOTIVE AND ESTABLISH AN ALIBI !

TravelRe: Is Life Really Better Abroad? by beyonce1(f): 2:08am On May 13, 2006
Honestly ! anyone who spends as much as $45000 even $20000, just to jump on the aeroplane to get to anywhere in this universe or even another planet is nothing but non-sensible OLD FOOL, a LOSER, for that matter and I owe no apologies to anyone for this at all ! just tell me you're kidding here ! shey 'were' (crazy) ni. and then it's not even to pay for the 'indefinite stay' itself! but yet to come off the flight and still struggle ! if the person borrows the money, when on earth is he going to pay it off ! honestly I think people need to be counselled on how to invest and start their own business. imagine what your turnover will be with this sort of capital.

SO MANY PEOPLE NEED CORE THERAPY, INSPIRATION ON INVESTMENT, & NEUROLINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING.

In Nigeria, For instance I wonder if we have people like Robert Kiyosaki, Jack Canfield, Joyce Meyer etc just to lecture people, because I honestly do not think an educated Individual would dabble such an amount on 'flight project'
If u run your business account properly with this amount, as laid down capital just for six months, You can definitely apply for a VISA successfully at no unneccesary extra cost and if u get turned down, it's the country loss anyway because all you wanted is the holiday. the result is you're financially free which is actually the prime reason why people emigrate.
Christianity EtcRe: Christians: Would You Prefer A Muslim Or A White Garment Partner? by beyonce1(op): 1:11am On May 13, 2006
deb:
I would have said no to both but I've realised its wrong to generalise.
There will always be an exception. I'm currently dating a cute muslim
babe I was already attracted before I realised. Same could have happened with a white garment babe.

I guess they are all human beings. besides, I'm a guy so there is the tendency either of them will convert 2 wherever I belong. grin
Lucky to be a Man uuhm ? with a tendency to convert either ? Yeah RIGHT !

I JUST WONDER O, With no offence to anyone in da house please , I could remember sometime in the past when my Mum was invited to be the Chairlady of one white garment church fund raising , I had a designed black dress and my sister in red (on purpose anyway) just being naughty ! cos we new it's unacceptable, come see prowling eyes in the church! another thing which we all found amusing was when the Chairman was invited unto the high table, he happened to be an Alhaji , this Alhaji donated a substantial sum of money the next song we heard the choir sang were all muslim songs, LAI HI LA IN LA LA SALALA WALIHU WA SA LA. We could not believe this. I mean is this right  huh?

Secondly there is this other white garment church in London being led by a lady, just about a couple of years back they changed their dress code  to normal outfits like pentecostal, I found this more confusing  huh

Another thing is all these rituals, I believe Jesus christ shed his blood to wipe all our iniquities, why the killing of goat and ram for 'SARA' (so called) again ? The reason why me personally gets so scared around them is that, it is believed that they can cast hypnotic powers on you  lipsrsealed this is something I expected someone to clarify at least cos, I JUST WONDER O   huh

The prejudice within christianity gathers momentum. It is not enough to discriminate against your fellow human being because they are of a different faith, but now it has to be against fellow human beings of the same faith, because of the kind of attire worn in their various churches!Na wa!All for christ,i guess. huh
Discriminate ? According to this girl she also claimed I wouldn't be the first person to act the way I did, she actually said it as well that people had to get close to know her personalities well enough b4 fully accepting her, honestly I also wonder o, D funny thing is that I do have muslims as friends but I just get quite scared  and a little bit unsure of white garment sects lipsrsealed maybe the way I was raised or probably the news WE all hear, here & there (u can't deny this can u ? ). I had this discussion with a couple of guys and they also claimed they normally wouldn't go back on a 2nd date if they also discover  this on a new girl (why?),   As  for me, I feel, I can still get on with a muslim with a mind of encouraging him to my church but a WHITE GARMENT Bloke  huh?
Christianity EtcChristians: Would You Prefer A Muslim Or A White Garment Partner? by beyonce1(op): 3:54am On May 11, 2006
I just wonder O ? I was on the train the other day, and saw this old friend of my primary school days, we got chatting, I was so eager to catch up more about her untill she told me she now attends a white garment church, my face fell at that point, I could't hide it, and she noticed, I apologised for this but she said I wouldn't be the first that she's used to such expressions as soon as she tells people .

I haven't spoken to her since then anyway. but really I just wonder because, I am not a Bloke ! and I just wonder what the poor girl would be going through if she doesn't find a partner in her church . but really I just need to know people's honest response to this: on which would you consider a second date? why and why not?
