He said some parts of Africa had not invented the WHEEL by the 19th century. Meaning that Africans had no capacity to develop which is why we're poor and Europeans wealthy. African contact with Europe improved Africans living standard. Do you buy this??
That argument is not strong enough to say conclude that had no capacity to develop. I agree we developed as a result of colonialism but the white man gained a lot more .

Crash
There is good and bad in all of us. This movie explores this like no other. It will make you think about the nature of bigotry and stereotypes. The characters switch from heavy to hero in a way that is deeply moving and exhilarating. It is TV drama style writing where several different groups of characters and plots interweave (Paul Haggis) but with none of the limits of TV, it reminded me of "Hill Street Blues" which from me is a big compliment.

I am a Don Cheadle fan and he captures the role. Sandra Bullock plays against character and pulls it off with ease. The most impressive performance to me was Ryan Phillippe's. Almost every nationality in LA was represented and they all were interesting and realistic. The ensemble cast and various plots blend together and keep your interest. Cast is great, music is haunting, writing is superb. Go see this movie.  grin

This was one deep movie. I loved it.

You can call me whatever you like: doesn't change the fact that you look like a star from "Lock'd Up: RAW". I said your ink looks like you got it in prison; kini big deal, cry baby? You don't know me, so you don't know how educated I am but I'll bet dollars to donuts I'll trump whatever certificate/Associate's degree you claim to possess. I asked about the date and. . .nothing. Are you sure that's you in that picture or are you flexing with someone else's photo? You like 'exotic' things. . .interesting. You come off as someone that follows the crowd thinking they're being 'different' but that's your life and you can live it the way you see fit, as long as it doesn't encroach upon me and mine. As I said to your jock rider, Manny: few professional places will hire someone with the tattoos you have; it's nothing against you because I don't have to worry about how you feed yourself but it was an observation I made. Don't like it, ignore my posts.

Going through this thread, I see some people some trying to be politically correct and saying being gay is not bad. IT IS BAD!!

But don't get me wrong, I don't support lynching or imprisoning gay people like some people on this thread because I have no problem with gay people as long as they don't bring it around me, it is the bisexuals I have problems with.

Dawgpound, u can continue digging up sht from arse holes, it's your business but stay clear of the ''womanliness population''. greedy acts like yours is one the reasons HIV/AIDS is becoming more widespread.
This thread would be useless and a complete waste of time if we don't discuss the way out of this mess we (the children) were born into. We have all had someone or something to blame for our misfortunes, but verily our children would blame us for doing nothing about it. No matter how inhumane the fathers might have gotten the wealth then, the children of europe now praise their fore-fathers for building their land, making them the "most superior" among all races.
-
So, please what do you think is the way out of these problems. Inferiority-complex is not genetic. Our children could be born into a life where they are so proud to be a black man. So proud! 'US would have to go to hell for all they care!' But how?
Please let us not be ambiguous but Realistic. This is how revolution starts. Remember the American Revolution? Also tell us how you plan to contribute to the revolution.
the revolution should start with every one of us. then from that, it would be collective.

Foreign AffairsRe: Africa Without Slavery And Colonization by bgees(m): 11:03pm On Aug 07, 2010
I never implied that I believed in it. Of course, it could be another white-collar white supremacists move.  He could have been of the same descent as Europeans but not necessarily one.  Another thing to remember is that it is scientific, tomorrow, these findings could nullified.

But who cares , if the ancient Egyptians are black or Chinese? why can't we just move forward and look to the future instead of consoling ourselves with   past histories like ancient Egypt .
