I just hope Carra gets fully fit just in time. Heard Lucas played well against Atletico. In my opinion, he has been playing well throughout our preseason. He might just step up this season.

On Aquilani, his last injury and general fitness seems to be the only chink in his armour. And I also think too much fuss has been made about him not being fit, after all he doesn't get injured all the time. He just had this long term injury and everyone now thinks he is injury prone.

Alonso is 28, and we sold him for 30million . To me that is some shrewd piece of business. He was at his peak last season and may deteriorate in form afterwards. I just hope i'm right about this.

I also worry about how we are going to cope in the early stages of next season with Alonso gone , Aquilani not fit and Lucas still yet to improve.

I hope so too. And I think we should get another midfielder like Stephen Defour just in case.

So we now have Skrtel and Riera injured.
