I will go with the ' dont believe anything u read' statement just to console myself. BUT If he truly said that, then shame on him. maybe we need to sell the idiot. Remember this is not his 1st time, before the champions league match against chelsea last season, this bald bleeper already gave it to drogba. Players like him are one of the many reasons winning the league is so hard for us. |
Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is optimistic that summer signing Alberto Aquilani could return to training in 'two or three weeks'. It was revealed when the ex-Roma star joined the Reds at the start of August that he was possibly eight weeks away from fitness following an ankle operation. But Benitez hinted at the beginning of September that Aquilani was ahead of schedule in his rehabilitation after resuming work in the gym and swimming pool. The Liverpool boss is now hopeful that the Italy international, a £20million replacement for Xabi Alonso, will soon join his new team-mates in training. Benitez said: "Aquilani has improved, he has progressed in the way that we expected and now maybe in two or three weeks we will see him training. "Then we will see how he progresses, but the last scan he had was very good." Experiment Meanwhile, Benitez has sounded his delight that Spain and England have recently joined Holland in booking a place at the 2010 World Cup. The early qualification of the nations means that the likes of Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres and Dirk Kuyt can relax a little when on international duty. Benitez said: "I am not sure now what various international managers will do with their players in final qualifying games now they are sure of going to the finals. "They may try to rest players, experiment or plan, but for sure everyone will now be relaxed and not playing under such pressure. "Now that the English and Spanish players have qualified this week it should make things easier for us. "At least mentally they do not need to worry any more about their qualification. "They need to go to internationals now and enjoy the situation, and that will be another plus point for us because there are no distractions with regard to qualifying or not now. They are there." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5550539,00.html |

But we still need to win a trophy least, this will be good for the squad's confidence. it's been long since we last won a trophy. |
As soon as EZEAGU came on this thread, I knew we were in for another tribalist battle. |

chill for d guy, it is debut remember. I was more concerned with his attitude. when we were behind he had a huge worried look on his face. AND CAN WE GET UP AFTER THIS BOLTON WIN? |
Yes , some positives - Johnson looks like he's worth every penny we paid for him. It is OK to add him to our small number of key players. Let us hope Aquilani would be good buy too. But Gerrard has step up, Lucas should try harder. And I Carra was below par today. Is it as result of ageing? |
Suddenly - Billy Ocean. Mary J Blige - Can't live without you. Don't wanna miss a thing - Aerosmith. 1973 - James Blunt. Speechless - Micheal Jackson. So sick - Neyo. |
My favourite Coca Cola advert was the one with little children singing in a church-like hall. It ran during the mid '90s. 'Always CocaCola' comes 2nd. 'whenever there is school, there is always the homework' Then the one with Tryese. Then Brrrrr! |
And you don't think Al Pacino's classic performance in SCARFACE whoops anything Robert de Niro has done in the past? What about Devil's Advocate?
OMO IBO:De Niro's performance in Raging Bulll was better in my opinion. Scarface was a classic but was his performance really that great? In Dog day afternoon and maybe in Insomnia he was better. and of course in Devil's Advocate |
Robert de Niro has made more movies, won more awards. Can anyone remember his performance in Raging Bull? You also need to read Mario Puzo's Godfather and note how he describes the young Vito Corleone to really appreciate his performance in Godfather 2. He played that role perfectly. In HEAT, he was clearly the better actor. His versatility also shows in ANALYZE THIS and MEET THE PARENTS. @ Sauron, Their meeting and conversation in HEAT is a classic on its own. |
arsenal have the easiest group. |
liverpool , lyon ,fiorentina! ![]() this years champs league will be very interesting! ![]() |
the uefa champs league group stage is already looking like aa tough one. so far , we have been drawn with Florentina and Lyon! i hope we find form. |
Lets' compare these two great actors. Taxi Driver Godfather 2 Raging Bull Once upon a time in America. Analyze this. Good fellas. vs Scarface. Dog day afternoon. Insomnia. Carlito's way. Scent of a woman. Heat. I think Robert De Niro is a better actor,he is more versatile and his characters are stronger. |
a very very convincing win. |
Chinua Achebe is more interesting. And his book 'things fall apart' is an international classic. It made the BBC's 'BIG READ' list. It is also included in TIME magazine's 100 greatest books ever written. And I'm YORUBA. |
