do you see the maligned northerners engaging in such manic 'everyman for himself ' ideology? You are right bruv! I think Soludo would end up in a quagmire, confused and bedazzled he would walk thelonely road filled with humble pies back to his retirement home, singing the all too familiar song of "being misled", or the hit track of the 90's "I was not allowed to work" |

As we approach yet another independence day, the question we al would be asking ourselves really would be should we really still remain a nation? Personally i would like to take a sample of views on this issue (Not Becomrich's queer point of view).
What remedy can we apply to palliate our present harsh living condition (or dying condition) Nairalanders please be "CONSTRUCTVE" |

Investment › Re: Sanusi At NSE: I Am Surprised People Are Selling Bank Stocks by bibiking1(m): 9:07pm On Sep 27, 2009 |
I think i am a bit worried by some of sanusi's reactions to facts and also his general outlook towards the post-restructuring banking sector. He re-echoed a popular cliche about the banking sector accounting for about 70% of the market, and basically denounced this trend. He thereafter expressed no comment on the issue, no remedial suggestion We all know the de-industrialisation of the economy is responsible for the financial sector taking up so much space in the stockmarket. With sanusi's new action banks have been forced to stop lending, further dampening the outlook of the nation's manufacturing sector getting to its knees from its current prostrate position. I am also not too comfortable with sanusi's reticence on his plans (short and long) for the banking sector post-brouhaha. How do we monitor the effect and impact of Sanusi's new children at the helm of affairs of these new banks? When his new CEO's fail to do that which they were hired for, what actions would and should be deemed necessary against them to avoid double standards? There has to be a disciplined approach to lending to the manufacturing sector and not a no-lending situation we currently are witnessing. |

@Post I think you guys have been unjustly unfair to Sjeazy8. That initial article from the Vanguard could easily have been interpreted from both angles, a simple more patience from TheAmaka and her cohorts would have ensured we saw lesser curse words through the course of the thread. I also would appreciate if Sjeazy8 too could extricate prejudice from his mind when making public statements. Now please lets all continue the discourse CONSTRUCTIVELY!!!! |

ocelot2006: @ Chizzyjay, excellent posts. I'm SO sick and tired of talking to these so-called "Nigerians" who derive pleasure in running down their OWN country . All they do is whine and whine, but none of these morons are willing to fix the problems faced. Please keep up the good work.
And to the idiots i refered to (yes, you guys are idiots), you should all be ashamed of yourself. You think by whining, Nigeria will get fixed? Or maybe I should get the WHAAAAAmbulance for you guys. What have you idiots contributed to make your nation a better place? If you're so tired of Nigeria, why don't u get the hell out of the country? `last time I checked, the authorities never stopped any of you douche bags from visiting embassies for visa applications. Or maybe you can follow the same illegal route through Libya to Europe. Just get the hell out, throw away your Nigerian passport, and leave this great nation for us who still have lots of hope and faith in her. Believe it or not, the only direction for this great country is upwards. THIS NATION MAY CRAWL NOW BUT IT WILL GET BETTER After the next five generations my friend. Be not deluded with sweet honey-coated words from the nation's demagogues, for it is their job to do so, and ours to remain realistic for we feel the reality of it all harshest! |

KenGali: It might also interest you to know that a lot of Anambrarians asked for Soludo to contest, they are very much capable funding him, he does not need to steal from CBN to run for Governoship!
Mind you also that Like Chris Ngige, He is not the usual career politician you find in Nigeria. He already has three job offers from the international community. One is to serve on the board of the international NATURAL RESOURCE CHARTER with the likes of Russian and Mexican Presidents, the Second is as a Guest Scholar on African Economics in University of Oxford, the third is as a Distinguished Fellow of the Brooklyn Institution of Washinton DC. Why are they asking for him if he did such a bad job as your CBN governor? Actually, yes he does!, All politicians need to, as wel as public servants! |
