Politics / Re: If You Were To Be The President For 24 Hours, What Would You Accomplish? by bidemi12(m): 12:28am On Jan 21, 2016
uchennamani:
I will do everything President is doing now. I will tackle corruption the way he is doing it; I will redress the bad economic condition PDP put this country in; I will belong to no one but to everyone; draft the best budget the country has ever seen, just like the one the president sent to the National Assembly for consideration; I will appoint an Intellectual as my vice-president, just like the president did. In fact, I will repeat every action of the president since the time his government was sworn into power. What would be different is that I will be known as president Uche Nnamani. Period!

If you are truthful to yourself you will know that whether Jonathan won or not. we will still be in this mess of economy.

You seem to be among the few using his head. It still boggles the mind as to why anyone would support either party or struggle to defend any of them. The problem Nigeria is facing today has been going on since independence. The only reason Nigerians are so aware of it today is because of social media. It is a shame that there is not one single leader so far in Nigeria.

kissval1388:
hello nairalanders.
I have been using this Glo blackberry subscription for androidand am enjoying it.
the reason why I opened this post is to ask my nairalaners if this act is sin.
someone told me that it is cheating because Glo mobile thinks the user is using BlackBerry.
so my fellow nairalanders and christian friends. what do you have to say about this?
is it a sin or not?
is Glo mobile aware that android users are doing this?
thanks. I expect matured replys

If you have to ask, then you probably shouldn't be doing it. This rule is a rule of life. I am not a born again ooooo.

Trust the wailers will not feed and die on this matter. However, this is good for democracy since this government listens to his people compared to the last government who decided to listen only after they realised they needed the peoples vote grin shocked cool tongue !!!! Thumps up to PMB and his team!!! wink

And herein lies your problem. In normal societies, people are forced to resign or fired outright for things like this but to you it's normal. There is zero accountability in Nigeria. I really feel for una i swear.

In the UK you can arrest and restrain anyone. It's called citizens arrest. Didn't you read that he was tied while awaiting the police?

Stop lying. Which developed countries? In Florida an unarmed boy was shot dead based on suspicion alone and nothing happened to the shooter. Stop lying in 2016.

Yes there is citizens arrest but the way you arrest him/her matters. In the U.S The suspect can sue you for using unnecessary force to subdue him/her. .And also yes, you can shoot to kill, but in self defense and or protection of property.

African pop star Davido, 23, seems to have learnt his lesson concerning baby mama drama, and using protection when he is having sex.
Yesterday night (January 10) on his way back from

The caption of the picture read “Who’s it gon be tonite?” We wonder who the lucky babe Davido entertained last night is?”

Do you see the irony of life in Nigeria and a country like the U.S? In Nigeria he can flaunt stacks of cash like that because he has nothing to fear from the tax man. In the U.S, he'd think long and hard, and ensure that his books are in order before doing something like that. Which is why a lot of them borrow jewelry and props to show off. Go ask 50 cent. The fear of the IRS is the beginning or wisdom.

Lol.. .i just wanted you to see the absurdity of your post. Real thief. Lol. As if there are fakes ones or a thief would write "thief" on his clothing before going out to steal. Nigeria needs it's own dictionary. Our understanding seems to be quite different from the outside world.

Why don't u get ur self
Do u ve difficulty in that
U mentioned some social facilities that is lacking in Nigeria yet u want the governors to still behave like Governors where such is found..

So helping someone with cash is a rudiment for corruption
Nwanne u re blessed with brains..

Like i said, you were thinking but there is something blocking your thought process in achieving a logical conclusion. It's called the Nigerian condition. What you should have deduced from my ealier post was;

1. Instead of giving out random cash, he needs to implement social programs that benefits and helps the unfortunate people he governs.

2. The way to fund these social programs is through equitable taxation and implementation. This is how normal countries do it.

3. Cash transactions in the manner Nigeria does it contributes to it's massive corruption cycle. #Dasuki.

4. Nigerians need to change the way they do business.

5. They continue to do business the way they do now because they don't know the standard or know any better.

You for example. Check out the way you are vigorously defending this act. You don't know a better way because that is the only way you know.

Yes. But there must always be a distinction and total separation of church and state. England and spain has taught us that. The man is becoming political. Even Jesus steered clear away from politics.

When u talk about other countries u ve not been to, do u know they ve got facilities that take care of such woman..

Well, do you know that families(Locals) with issue can go meet the Governor of Abu Dhabi for solutions..

Now you are starting to think, but only half way. You see, the way they do it is by implementing programs like social security, unemployment benefits, medicaid, medicare etc. You will never see a public official handing out cash in an attempt to "help" the citizens he governs. At least i have not seen or experienced it. Please prove me wrong. What is frightening is Nigerians expect their leaders to be dishing out cash randomly and complain when the same leaders are implicated for fraud and embezzlement. I tire for una i swear.

Time some of these mofos go nd learn grassroot governance from Fayose..

I hope you know say na suffer de motivate your line of thinking, no be common sense. Show me anywhere in a normal society in the world where governors do such things. The problem with Nigeria is not it's leaders but it's citizens in general. Eight years ago, did anyone know who amosun was? He was just another ordinary citizen like any of us. But, he grew up with the same phucked up mentality in Nigeria and now he is implementing things based on the phucked way society brought him up. Nigerians need to change their mentality.
