LTGEN: Please do you have any snippets on whether the NA intends to buy the T-90 this time around? Why would they go for another type of MBT ? For now I think they'll rather acquire more of the VT-4 MBT and more AFV/IFV/MRAPs. |

kabe1: What about transport aircrafts?
How do we resupply our soldiers and aircrafts if we don't have adequate transport aircrafts? Bro one step at a time, let's pay up for the MI 35 and Mi-17, we need more of them with the growing incidents in North Central. We could always go for transport aircrafts when we've settled our internal crisis. |

kabe1: Following the successful delivery of this batch of Tucanos, what next for the Nigerian Air Force?
The Air Force were recently giving nearly 1 billion dollars in additional funding, different from the initial funding in 2021 budget.
This additional fund goes specifically to capital projects, no salaries.
What are we to expect?
Alpha Jets need to be replaced
Additional attack helicopters are required
Additional MI-17 helicopters are needed.
Light and medium tactical transport aircrafts also needed.
A minimum squadron of modern 4th Gen fighter jets are also needed.
So what would it be for NAF?? I think we should pay for the MI-35 & Mi-17 respectively, part payment if not all and get additional jf 17. |

OPERATION HADIN KAI: COAS ISSUES OFFICIAL VEHICLES TO REGIMENTAL SERGEANT MAJORS OF THE NIGERIAN ARMY
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya is walking his talk, as he continues empowering Regimental Sergeant Majors (RSM) of the Nigerian Army to enhance their funtionality.
Lieutenant General Yahaya handed over keys and official documents of a brand new Toyota Hilux to the Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) of Headquarters 7 Division, Master Warrant Officer Mohammed Babayo, during an operational visit to the Division on Wednesday, 21 July, 2021.
The COAS stated that the move is aimed at restoring the prestige associated with the office of an RSM, whom he described as the custodian of Nigerian Army customs, ethics and traditions. He also said RSMs in the Nigerian Army and the military globally, play pivotal role in refining, grooming, and putting the regimental lives of young officers and soldiers in check, when freshly deployed to the unit, on passing-out from their respective training institutions.
General Yahaya further disclosed that it is paramount to provide them with requisite logistics to enhance their confidence and competence in order to reinvigorate and empower them for their essential role as a bridge between the Commanders and the soldiers in the hierachy of the NA. He disclosed that he will ensure the construction of tied-down accommodation for the RSMs, as well as renovate existing dilapidated structures in Army Barracks to demonstrate his commitment in this regard.
It will be recalled that the COAS had earlier presented two Hilux vehicles to Army Headquarters and Army Headquarters Garrison RSMs, during the Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL) 2021 in Abuja.

SamuelAnyawu: Did I just read “Aircraft shot with an explosive”? I’ll need more clarification on this. Previously I felt Bandits got no AA and very limited RPG This bandits have access to AA/RPG and other higher calibre weapons. Zamfara and Niger State have porous borders with Niger Republic, some of these bandits as surrender AAGs, this is no news again. |

ugo4u: Faithful God ______________
Thank you so much everybody. I’m indebted to Bro Ekele and bro Olagbende, and everyone on this platform. Before Sunday I had been having dreams where I saw myself fighting and evading enemies like real-time war, day in day out, like nightmares, so when my jet got shot with the explosives and my flight controls were destroyed and I had no choice than to eject, I just said ‘God, finally, here we go’… As I was flanked by the bandits, I kept praying and I kept telling God to answer your prayers because I know you were all praying for me. I love you all. And I thank God for bestowing his love on me and saving me from death several times within that period... I will still share my testimonies but truly, God ordered my steps, the bandits (meanwhile they are ruthless like Boko haram, I dunno why we still call them bandits) were more interested in capturing me than shooting me at (even at point blank range), eventually they got neither… He gave me the strength to run and walk covering almost 30kms even with one strained leg. Having not had any food or water all day, I prayed for strength because I needed it, and he gave me. I can spend hours talking of how I lost and regained hope multiple times throughout my adventure, but God is faithful. It’s now I’m feeling all the pains I suffered from the ejection (including a fracture in my neck and painful back and chest), but God didn’t allow those pains to slow me down for the bandits to capture me. NAF platforms overhead also helped me to deter them a lot by making some of them to pin down while I kept running, and when they got close to me, I was still able to evade them by camouflaging (I was wearing green fg suits - in the green forest) and concealing myself. I ran into plenty spiders and I laid down several times out of weakness not knowing if anything poisonous would sting or bite me. All glory is to God, all glory. I have not been your most righteous brother, but I felt God’s hands in everything, even in every decisions I took immediately I was shot, all the decisions worked together to save my life. Eg, removing my phone from my lap and putting it in my G -suit before pulling the ejection handle (I had to use the compass of the phone and AirNav Pro application to navigate), and making the decision to turn hard 90 degrees immediately the bandits lost sight of me on a sandy cliff where they couldn’t trace my footpath again (the CAS told me they got information that in turn, the bandits kept going straight in the direction I was initially going and they destroyed several villages and camps, killing plenty people, thinking those people harbored me)So much more… The village I eventually entered at night, I told God that the first person I see and call should favour me and that happened, he gave me clothes, pain-relieving drugs, food and water and even malt, and he organized for a bike to carry me to DanSadau early next morning (throughout the night I couldn’t sleep, I was praying that the bandits don’t attack the village because my right leg was already swollen and very painful so I couldn’t jump fences or run again, plus I didn’t want to bring death upon innocent people, and it may force the guy to give me out to the bandits…), they dropped me with their Emir who with pride and joy called the Army guys to come and meet me (they all had sleepless nights). NAF helicopters came to pick me up from there. There are so much to say. All thanks to God, thank you so much ❤️
Flt. Lt. A Dairo Wow.... These banditory is becoming an Iroko tree, if not cut down now. Am afraid it will be worst than BHT. Thank God spared is life, and for those innocent souls killed in those villages thinking they aborted him, R.I.P. |

Nemesis4you: The question is best put to the OEM ( MiG )
Afterall its their prerogative
Anyways one cannot determine stealth by simply looking at an aircraft , forget about determining its generation Thanks man. In other words it will be safer to call it a 4.5+ gen aircraft. |

kabe1: On the contrary, I'm a big fan of the JF-17, and I think it's an excellent aircraft, well suited for Nigeria's current security challenges.
However I don't think the JF-17 is an aircraft for the future, as you know aircrafts are supposed to last a minimum of 30 years in service. Threats would change in that time, and I don't think the JF-17 is the ideal aircraft to deal with that threat.
I'm proposing that we cease on any further purchases of the JF-17, invest in a capable LIFT aircraft, the M346 is ideal, we do not need the FA, as this would mean additional costs.
Purchase another batch of 12 Tucanos.
Increase our Attack helicopter and MI-17 numbers.
Invest in tactical transport aircrafts as the C-130s are old.
In a couple years time the SU-75 would be mature(in the event it goes into full production), purchase that instead. Nice one. |

xterra2: Yes i was so excited to see detailed budget details after seeing over N700Billion on security , i expected to see 12 Units of M346 or Yak 131 at N199Billion or 30 CH5 at N16Billion but it is just an overall summary. Even those in N/Assembly don't have the details on which kind of Jets the Airforce are buying. As long as it can take off the ground and fly na so we go take am but we are sha happy airforce is getting $500Million+
The person who got the details for me got them in bits , i told him not to bother sef with the rest since they would not be be anything interesting. When they land we go know abi are they invisible ?
Apart from Army getting $118Million for Vehicle DHQ is also spending some billions for vehicles.
You suppose use your "source" to find out the additional aircraft requirement and the unknown vehicles . |
