The turn out this year is plain disgraceful, more especially SSC. The army haven't witnessed this type of apathy in a very long time, even the number of applicants for Regular Course far exceeded the numbers for SSC/DSSC combined this year.
Most of you that went for dssc are joking as most likely they'll draft the successful ones to SSC, who are you guys leaving combatant course for? I also forsee many DSSC being exposed to combatant roles when commissioned.
The people who chose SSC made their choice, so did those who chose DSSC grin

Brotherly, stop giving yourself unnecessary stress fa.

Whether you uploaded in PDF or jpeg, you have uploaded the necessary documents and Army will check them if they want to. When you made mistake you cannot change please take away your mind and focus your mind on something else. So now you are worrying, will your worry correct the mistake? When you get there, you will understand better that this people don't even have specific plan at all, Na anything wey come their mind Dial minutes dem dey do. You will witness that yourself.

You are giving yourself too much headache brother, stop it you don't need it.

During 46 a guy joined us in my state during screening, he didn't even apply online at all, he just came on slot from someone. He was attended to and tendered his documents. Yet medical failed him. That's someone that doesn't even apply online o. So why stressing yourself Omo iyami?

Victory is from Almighty God Alone.
Thanks Baba mi. This is refreshing.

Army has always requested for jpeg file for as long as I know.
I wonder why one will go through the stress of converting files to pdf again. We like to complicate things for ourselves, with the way the site is doing jangolover make e be say files of other formats dey enter their data base ooo!! to avoid stories that touch.
I even advise that each file shouldn't exceed 500kb just to be on a safe side.
ugo4u... Just reading through previous pages and came across this. cry

I uploaded my passport in JPEG, and other documents in pdf since there was no specified format. But all the files were under 300kb.

Please, is that going to be a problem.

May your river of wisdom never get dry oga sir!

People are seeing things all over social media, no matter how they play diplomacy yet people still seeing the reality on social media, some people work is to link such to social media, Especially the recent new of the Col. that died as a result of Ambush by BH, people start wondering if a senior officer of rank of Col. could be ambushed and killed, you know how many followers would have been killed in the process. Many thought going on in the mind of the prospective candidates, las las make your decision, what will be will be.

People are really having second thought, be it DSSC or SSC, even people with passion dey fear talk less of people without passion. We no go give up cuz na person way give up fu<k up.

You can imagine the total applicants of DSSC and SSC this year no even reach half of SSC 46 last year. E Be things!

Las las we go dey alright.

There's a misconception here I think. The new print out for SSC AND DSSC is very different. Ssc carries just the number picture and little details. While dssc carries everything we applied while registering, including pictures of certificates uploaded and all. I'm certain we are not asked to print all of it because that's going to be more than one page . So I believe what is needed is where your name passport and the new application shows. I think it's not necessary printing. But this problem is only for those of us that have signed our forms ....for me I only reprinted the photocard in the new form and replaced with my old photocard. But still I'm confused a bit . For we dssc candidates that have signed our forms how are we going about it or do we call or message them on Facebookhuh
Pls can you check your PM, I want to clarify something with you.

The change of application number card is for those that have signed already, instead of them to reprint the updated application slip and sign again then they should just print the change of application number card and attach to their signed docs.

Military Secretariat doesn't want to stress those that rush in signing their documents, that's why they brought that particular card.
We're literally saying the same thing

I'm also for DSSC. Did your new print out also carry other personal info like weight, height, degree, grade, the corp you applied for etc?

All those appeared in newly generated print out

Also, the new print out carries personal details like degree, grade, corps applied for, height, weight etc... Same with yours right?

E be like say the code wey Dey after the number go get use for exam or something.. I just reprinted it sha
I just noticed that too.

I think that unique code that has just been added to the application number has to do with the CBT we would write. Perhaps it will be our log in ID, or something like that.

Let me even ask; for those of us that have printed and signed our docs, shey it's just the first page we are going to print and attached to our already printed forms right?

Sikowitz, ugo4u biko am I on the right track?

You are a wise man, this question you raised is something most military men do not ask themselves on time before it's almost late.

It is important to have a legitimate side hustle although the army has rules which you will find out when you get in. In my case I have two cars which I use to run Uber service managed by my wife, I wouldn't have known this if not for her.

Finally the army is full of surprises that you must be prepared for physically, mentally and financially too.
Pardon my curiosity. Something really caught my attention here; what sort of surprises is the army full of that should make you prepared physically, mentally and financially. Is there a specific reason (based on your experience) that made you say this sir?

na just random thoughts ooo bro.. nothing to it
I have also thought about it. They probably thought applications would be as much as last year's. From the look of things, turn out this year is almost half or 1/3 of last year. Meaning lesser population. They might skip the exam thing and do the business as usual of shortlisting for screening.

I just weak carry my kwaye board the next vehicle to abj and back to my destination embarassed embarassed
Hmm. But this is not a missing tooth or an extra tooth (hyperdontia), rather Just a chipped tooth. If you look at me from far, you won't notice it easily. Anyhow, let's watch how this year's screening turns out. Thanks Sikowitz

Onye na-aju ajuju anaghi efu uzo.

Pls, do they raise flags for such dentition – chipped tooth? If they do/don't, please is it possible to fill it up neatly? (I don't know the dental term for it, crowning or what...).

And, how much will it cost? (I don't have money o).

I beg to differ, Sir. I wasn't saying dat it's wrong to kill a Combatant kid, like d US sniper dat u were talking about, why didn't he go ahead n kill d kid despite d fact dat d young child had dropped d rpg?

If I was in d Frontlines, n a kid is with an RPG, riffle or pistol firing shots on us, I would kill dat kid.
The main reason why killing in battle isn't considered as "murdering" is because it's done for self defense (Kill or be killed).

This is a different scenario entirely, d poor kid dat might have been brainwashed who is even up to puberty, runs outta ammo, I den approach him with a full loaded M-series or AK-series, n he turns n looks at me soberly, den u expect me to point my gun in his head n blast his brain apart?

No! God forbid, I would arrest him instead, Sir.
Oga what are you on about? These are armed terrorist, I don't understand what you keep defending. Are you a terrorist apologist?
