tobechi74: Military don change
This millennium has witnessed the rise of many groups fighting against what is perceived as injustice. First was the Niger Delta millitant . Then came the bokoharam and finally the indigenous people of Biafra. Each group believe they are fighting a good cause. The millitant do not want their natural resources exploited and environment destroyed without compensation . The bokoharam are against Eastern education while IPOB want independence. In a nutshell, one is environmental and financially motivated, other is educational and religiously motivated and the third is tribal and politically instigated.
Each group believe they are the victim . The other group is the aggressor. The use of threat of violence is also a common attribute of all group. When we examine the world crises, we see a similar pattern. Adolph Hitler believed he was on a mission to eradicate the Jews from the map so as to make the world a better place. Osama Binladen believes the United States are forces of evil bringing corruption and domination to the Islamic world.
Each group sees the other as evil and desire to make the world a better place by eradicating the evil . The main cause of violence is the desire to eradicate evil. Let us assume the other party is as evil as potrayed , Is punnishnent the best solution?
One school of taught believe trading evil for evil serves as detterant to others . If that is the case, why does evil persist? Punnishnent is driven by desire for vengeance. An eye for an eye makes the world go blind. Violence breed more violence .we view the other group as different from us. A we vs them mindset. Our group is better, right, superior. This creates pride., Segregation. When we add religion to this feeling, we turn it to a holy war. Each group is moved by greed and selfishness that they refuse to see the wider implications of their actions. Violence occur because each group fear what the other side would do to them This fear grows into hatred. Hatred grows into anger. Anger result in violence. The frequent Christian versus Muslim war in kaduna and Jos follow the same pattern . Muslim fearing Christian dominance and vice versa.
The best antidote to evil is to replace fear with love. When love exist among group, bridges of connection is built rather than walls of saperation . When youth from each group are allowed to fall in love with each other and get married, families are forced to include each other in gathering. When enemies come together to achieve a goal, their dislike for each other reduces . Children born from such union would learn to like both group. Focusing our mind on evil empowers evil. An unmatched readiness to assist humanity , a desire for truth and a heart of compassion are what is needed. Peace can be achieved when we are inspired by an inner convictions to embrace the oneness of humanity to seek power through forces of love and partner.Any hateful thought towards any group diminished this power. We look for ways to handle our difference without aggression.we can begin by suspending our differences and focusing on our similarities.
https://tobechispeaks./2020/09/15/crusaders-fighting-for-a-cause/ Well written crap. |

The way this argument is going is just funny. Some of us are speaking based on sentiments, viz; "my dad is a MWO", "I live in the barracks", yen yen yen..
I'm sure nobody here wants to join the military as a commissioned 2Lt/Lt so they can go and and be giving MWO or WO jobs. Or even lock them up in the guardroom.
We're just misunderstanding each other here.
In theory, the 2Lt/Lt are higher in rank than the WO/MWO and thus will duly receive compliment from the WO/MWO deservedly. No be by age.
Every other thing you say is based on your sentiments. There's a chain of command in the Nigerian army. I repeat; the Nigerian Army is NOT your village meeting |

jelraj: Bro its the chain of command that will be your problem if u don't respect yourself as a lieutenant, captain, major.. How do u think command is passed to the NCO's?
The superior officers must pass through the WOs to the soldiers. I be barrack boy n my father was a WO2 I know. Na only commissioning u use pass am, e get experience pass u.
No just go do pass urself, na u am them go dey frontline make them no forget person for back You just amplified my initial comment of given respect when it is due. And I have not in anyway disputed the wealth of experience of the NCOs. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Nigerian Army SSC And DSSC 2016/2017 Forum by Bifrost: 12:24pm On Sep 28, 2020 |
jelraj: WO'S are not to be toyed with.. It is believed that respect is reciprocal, no go dey do pass yourself if u be officer cuz those WO'S can Bleep u up big time.
They are in charge of all NCO's down to staff Sergeants. Especially the MWO's
No use small eye look them, learn from them n seek advice too, to be MWO no be beans. I grow up in the barracks so I know.
As an officer u will get ur compliment u go tire self, but remember no be everybody go like u. I don't understand this sudden deification (making them look like gods) of MWOs Next thing somebody will say MWOs can fúck COAS up. Easy guys. One thing I love about the army is the chain of command and the respect officers have for their seniors (even if they don't like you). Your own is to show respect where it is due, it doesn't reduce your rank. And you must get your compliment. Army is not your village kporakpor (meeting). |

MONDAY 28TH SEPTEMBER, 2020 @11:00am
DSSC- 30407 SSC- 10742
From yesterday report on day to day comparison, this shows that we have 318 new profiles for DSSC as against yesterday 702, also we have 101 new profiles for SSC as against 183 yesterday.
1 Day to the Deadline
Let's see how many likes will go for this before the end of the day . Now keep the likes coming in! Analysis30,407 DSSC candidates: That's about 821 candidates per state, not to note the fact that some states have more applicants than others. So some states may have well over 1000+ applicants! And we have 10,742 candidates for SSC. That's an average of 290 applicants across the 36 states and FCT. Surely, some states will have more applicants than others. We may therefore have states with over 400 applications and states with around 200. Once again candidates, print and reprint all printables. And if you may, start preparing for the exam. It is expected to be the first wave of tsunami! |

Latvia, Luxembourg and Lithuania are very rich noiseless countries with larger percentages of populations being millionaires Luxembourg has a high rate of traffic congestion due to having road networks that can't cater for their number of cars plying the roads.

spetsnaz: There is nothing like cutoff points in the army. True DSSC is more competitive because it is for professionals, many people tend to go for this commission as it's a noncombat commission also it is the commission godfathers lobby their people into. Competitivesness is relative as it is dependent on the performance of your village men and not about any phantom cutoff point. If the highest score from your state is 10 points out of 100 someone that scored 70 from another state may not make the list probably because his village men scored higher while the person that scored 10 will make it. In summary, we are all in competition with our village men |

Candidates no shaking, BMI will not be your problem but watch it, surplus will be called for medical so they can weed u.
DSSC candidates please don't study for exams with SSC candidates (the competition is different).
Guys don't stress yourself on 3.5km once u dey do light sports before, on the deal day if u make it to that level, the fun n morale in the activity will make u pass it with ease (don't take drugs)
Candidates don't have it in mind that you are competing with the northerners, na ur state ppl be your competition ooooo.
Candidates your level of confidence really matters, don't panic, be friendly, take things with ease....... If u smoke, stop now because of ECG, blood and urine samples...start practicing how to stay under the sun...You can't be spending 16hrs under the AC and come to the Sun in kaduna without been weed out with hbp
Candidates if u naturally have hbp, start taking garlic, lot of ppl that took it last year passed, I was the novice thinking I won't need it, but guys brought it to the hostel and they are all in training
Candidates don't have it in mind that ARMY does not check your class of degree, preference are given to First class and 2:1, last year it was reported Venue state had the best results with 90% of those shortlisted having first-class or 2:1 At the bolded; Please o, are you saying DSSC should study more or what? This one you're saying "DSSC don't study..." |

Like today at the office I checked my weight I was 91kg. Though I’m not looking fat, just built and tall. Having doubt mind if the kilogram is too much for applicant or I need to reduce it before screening. First of all, how tall are you? Your height should be commensurate with your weight. If you check your BMI modified: To be safe listen to the man up there and cut down your weight. |
