LAGOS INFRASTRUCTURE
Dude please stfu those are photos of buildings.Infrastucture is ,strictly speaking ,not photos of buildings or a city.

Infrastructure | Definition of Infrastructure by Merriam-Webster

The basic equipment and structures (such as roads and bridges, water systems, fiber optic lines, phone lines, airports) that are needed for a country, region, or organization to function properly.

what is your proof that the rest of them are not liveable?

Do people not reside in these cities?

And yes they are industrialized, leave sentiments aside.
Thats a big lie about "industrialized cities" coz you know very well Nigeria is one of the least diversified economies. You guys import lots of finished goods even the basics.

Cc city's with highest purchasing power (consumer spending). 3 Nigeria city 1 Kenya city
Dude stop embarrassing yourself you clearly can't read.

The graph and title clearly states "FASTEST GROWING" and not your own ego inspired "highest purchasing power" designed to sooth your ego.Clearly the light blue dots all with growth projected above all the orange dots .

Any wise economist or investor will go for higher growth(all 3 kenyan cities are projected at 200% - 300%growth ) over a slower growing saturated or stagnant larger market.Nigerian cities are at the bottom with slower projected growth of about 50%.

Nigeria has hundreds of refineries but they have not been well managed because the fuel importers sabotaged them.

Nigeria has a ot of super market chains that are bigger than Shoprite within Nigeria as well.

MTN is just one telecom company, Nigeria has Glo, Etisalat, Airtel, and by the way Nigerians hold majority share in MTN so calling it out right a South African business in Nigeria may be wrong, MTN in Nigeria is not wholly owned by South Africans.
BOLD ASS LIES that Nigeria has hundreds of refineries. ITs a huge stretch to claim that Nigeria has more refineries than even Japan,UK,Germany
combined.
That's a bold ass lie Nigeria has only four refineries and you import most of your refined petroleum. What other lies have you told now?

To say that Nigerian supermarket chains are bigger in Nigerian retail market is a lie because it is one of the least formalized retail trade market. If that were true then Shoprite would have closed shop long ago due to your "bigger competitors" but instead its making serious inroads bcuz those supermarkets lack experience and forex to import is in serious shortage ,

South african chains like Shoprite, Pick "N' Pay and Spar dominate Nigerian retail trade.

Now you are just begging to be insulted.

Nigeria's army has the most versatile land force there is in the sub sahara, with conflict experience as far as South Sudan helping the UN during the Darfur crisis. Ended 2 civil wars (Sierra Leone and Liberia), Angola Civil War experience too.

Honestly you are not arguing any more, you are just hating.
So you ended two civil wars in Liberia and Sierra Leone yet for long periods you haven't even smoked out BH and Niger Delta militants in your own backyard?

Oh please tell better lies than that cuz you now have Cameroon,Chad,Niger and even USA helping you deal with Boko Haram.

We both know this is not what all of Nakuru looks like and its Abeokuta not Abaokuta. You have obviously never been to these cities.
You just make random searches and Google and post them, you are not informed. Not far from Roysambu is Githurai which would be considered a slum, just past Kasarani is Kahawa, which will be considered a slum by today's standards.

Those brown roofs are pictures from Ibadan in the mid 90s, see why I said you are informed at all.

I'm not saying there are no slums in these cities but compared to what I have seen personally in Kenya, there is simply no comparison. This argument is dead and hopeless.
Funny how you arrogate yourself the title of who defines what a slum is and which one is not just to massage your ego.Ibadan is still brown roofs today and getting worse,Lagos alone has over 42 slums and getting worse ,nyanya in Abuja is horrible and getting worse. This pattern is repeated all over in Enugu,Jos,Kaduna ,Port Harcourt,Kano ,Calabar,Onitsha,Warri ,Uyo and Benin city.

Stop fooling us because standards of living in Nigeria haven't suddenly shot up from their horrible state of the 90's.Infact the Naira has lost a lot of value thus making more people even more poorer.Nigeria's population has also grown tremendously but not the average incomes-meaning even more people are now living in slums than ever before.

Your argument is dead and just meant to massage your ego but hard facts actually point elsewhere.

Agreed, we just have to do better. We need stable power supply to drive us forward. Of what use is powering Ghana, Togo, and Benin, while our little industries suffer?

OTOH, using Cali as an example is wrong. Cali is technically the 8th richest country in the world by GDP -- higher GDP than any european country bar Russia; maybe Germany and England!

Lagos for example holds down 20% of Nigeria's GDP @roughly $100b, bigger than Kenya's, Ghana's, Togo's, Benin's GDP put together -- imagine a Lagos with 24-7 power supply, adequate security, and sensible train network, further bolstered by a country-wide working economy.
That is a bold ass lie cuz the economy of Lagos was NEVER bigger than Kenya and Ghana combined and now with the recession and devaluation of Naira the economy of Lagos is actually smaller than that of kenya.

You people love to cook your own human excreta statistics just to massage your ego.

Sorry to burst your misleading bubble, the economy of Lagos has never been over $100bn and now with recession and the steep devaluation of Naira the economy of Lagos is actually smaller than the economy of Kenya.

In 2014 the Naira exchanged at N150 to $1 dollar meaning the economy of Lagos was US $90b.

In 2016 the Naira exchanges at N315 to $1 meaning the economy of Lagos is actually US $43b.

YOUR TOPIC IS MISLEADING.

It is about the ease of doing business and not the size of the economy. The economy of Lagos us bigger than that of Kenya.
So what if its bigger? The economy of Nairobi alone is also bigger than that of Zambia ,Senegal ,Mozambique or Cameroon and almost equal to giant DRC.

Lagos isn't even close to Nairobi in terms of economic output per capita:Lagos has GDP of $3200 per resident while Nairobi's GDP is about US$9600 per resident.

Kenya Airways isnt the only airline facing hard times. Most of the airlines are, given the tough world economic times. Every business entity must go thru such challenges at some point in its existence.
But need I remind u that Kenya's airline industry is actually more vibrant than Nigeria's?

According to whom? Evidence?
Kenya (and SA) lead in Africa in terms of real estate. According to Ventures Africa

We Kenyan aint into size, but quality of the urban centres.
U seriously believe that Nairobi and Mombasa are the only cities in Kenya? Never heard of these Kenyan other Towns?

Kisumu

Nakuru

What about these smaller towns...

The 26th largest town in Kenya according to the 2009 census Kericho
Thika....they are so many!!!

We got the facts. If u were stronger, u wouldnt have been witnessing the kind of economic recession and cash devaluation as now. Mono-economies are very vulnerable.
As u have admitted above, u have problems with electricity supply, but u have also forgotten to mention water, health services, education etc.
Nigeria fares worse than Kenya in HDI which look into such aspects.
That guy isn't into facts ,raw percentages or anything of objectivity. His selective " facts" ,ommisions and figures are carefully crafted to only about what will fit his prejudice.

Its not only unbelievable but its also practically impossible. The guy has to be aroused and erect and thats one thing the ladies cannot force to happen.
