Turks:Eish ,but "Tiwa" is not a good name to have in Swahili land . |
ritababe:Your oft repeated double standards to the rescue AGAIN. If something works better in Kenya,South Africa or Zimbabwe the claim is always "oyinbo has done it" .If its in Nigeria's case then its simply in Nigeria and thats all that matters so you don't have a case. |
GO Ghana go, keep setting the pace land of ashantis. Your Cedi currency is also higher, your score on corruption index also better, your HDI score is also higher and you were also highest in the independence pecking order. |
highheybee:What you fail to say is that those GDP figures has significantly come down since the more than 40% devaluation of Nigerian Naira since 2014. Nigerian Naira was N160 per US$ in 2014. Nigerian Naira now is N315 per US$ in 2016. |
Henrydone:And you think your Wikipedia source is like God's own words? Wikipedia is a worse source because it can be edited by anybody at anytime even by ill educated ignorant fools.Your claim makes me believe your knowledge /education and whole info is suspect - every University Prof will tell you NEVER to bring them research info from Wikipedia. |
Hbuyosh:Imagine he's claiming in that counterpost that William Kabogo is Governor of Nairobi. That's when you know his post and false stats are just totally bogus. |
highheybee:Hahaha, don't make me laugh at your stupid post trying to prove a false point. You don't know what you're saying. Since when did William Kabogo become Governor of Nairobi which you wrongly claim has GDP per capita of $1785 ![]() Your sick post assumes that Nairobi's whole GDP is only $6.7 billion which is just ridiculous to authoritatively post here. |
Lots of Hypocrites and demagogues treating their fellow africans with disdain and negativity but yet they'll stand and demand better treatment, more respect and only positive coverage from BBC, CNN and the like. Mscheeew , hypocrisy overloaded.Don't ask BBC to treat you any better . |
highheybee:GDP blah, blah so what? The GDP of Nairobi is also greater than that of countries of Zambia,Senega,Mozambique ,Cameroon etc. The $9600 GDP per capita of Nairobi is also more than double the per capita GDP of Lagos at $3800....but Kenyans are more modest people they don't go rubbing those statistics on the face of Zambians ,Cameroonians or even their far superior per capita GDP per capita on Lagosians. |
Oxtonguy:Misinformation just to mislead the uninformed. What you fail to say is that it has uninterrupted water and power supply only because its an oil island run by international oil companies who set up and run their own independent system to ensure supply for their operations .They know they can't rely on the epileptic public supply systems run by Nigerian authorities. |
Oxtonguy:So i guess Vanguard(a Nigerian newsmedia) The economist magazine,Price Waterhouse Coopers and other reputable and neutral organizations are lying too, huh? |
Bisjosh:How about the filth we eat everyday thru nasty unhygienic street food vendors, the toxic noxious fumes inhaled everyday by millions in Lagos, the open sewers in urban slums, the nasty fish from Lagos lagoon and the deadly medical mistakes hidden to us everyday by our docs? The point is,as much as nasty men need to change, they really ain't the worst bcuz you gladly put up with alot more deadly stuff everyday yet you don't care much. |
That photo of General Ojukwu is inspiring. Wow ,that man was a total hero and a role model for other nationalists. |
Waiting patiently for stereotypes games to begin. Certain stories and topics here surely always bring out the hidden cobwebs and the worst of humanity on Nairaland. |
akmath:Because they're in denial about their own society and thus like to point at other nations. These things happen in Nigeria all the time but there's a double standard when its kenya ,Ghana or Zimbabwe involved. |
lardeipo:What is a person named Savage even doing close to Savage Lions? |
mikeweezy:If all those thousands of Nigerians living in Kenya didn't think there's anything good about it they wouldn't be living there. So just shut the fvck up. |
Kenyanstar:You've only scratched the surface - there's 42 slums just within Lagos. |
Henrydone:Lol ,a person who can't even use proper grammar & uses wrong facts is now an international development expert,an authoritative demographer and a socio-economic luminary? Get back in line and go back to school. Last time i checked Comoros,Cape Verde,Seychelles and Mauritius are the smallest countries in Africa. |
Buhari disaster happened to them on Nigerian soil and the Mediterranean Sea incident is just a by-product. |
Michellla:Me i don't wanna leave , i just wanna puke at the thought of a joker as president. Leaving is not the way out,its staying and fighting for change. |
dunkem21:I don't like and i'm not a zombie.Trump is unfit for White House plain and simple. |
mKc9ET:I find it shameful too.African officials are not fit bcuz they're disorganized ,incompetent ,lack integrity and they're easily bribed to swing elections . Tis like a danfo operator going abroad to supervise a London or New York subway operator. |
I'm really loving the explosion of quality housing estates all over even though Kiambu seems to be the "new frontier" . Keep more coming Gallivant. |
Shame on us as Africans this is really terrible. |
Bifwoli: |
Regardless of where the mock election was held ,its still a black eye on all of Africa cuz it reveals Africans for who they are and its shameful. Its a culture where africans know more about EPL than their own domestic clubs. Its a culture where Africans know the dates of New York attacks but can't tell the dates of terror attacks on African soil. |
After Google ,GE and Scania the flood of foreign companies in Nairobi continues.....this time with a tomato flavour . Thank you Muhammadu Buhari. |
Oizarammy:Lupita is far more valuable. She's a Havard grad, she's grown up in three different countries and she has an Oscar to her name. |
All these roads and housing plus the expected 360m population in 25yrs means Nigeria will not have any green spaces in 2050. |
emi14:Thank you. And then that person will dare complain about BBC and CNN always painting Nigeria negatively but yet he's gleefully quick to put down his fellow africans and paint them negatively.Thats hypocrisy. |
Hardeysolution:Quit lying Nigeria's GDP isn't that high after the 50% devalution of Naira. It is now behind South Africa in GDP. |
