Politics › Re: Opinion: Should Tony Elumelu Contest Presidency 2019? by Bifwoli: 10:16pm On Oct 30, 2016
gidgiddy:
Tony Elumelu is an Igbo man, for that alone, it is better for him to stay as far away from the Nigerian presidential elections as posdible. The presidency of Nigeria is a poisonous and worthless office and every body who ever held that office turned out to be worse than who they took over from.

Nigeria an unworkable entity full of incompatible people and warring sides. An Igbo man should not tarnish his reputation by seeking to be president of a country built on fraud and deciet. A country which is actually an enforced union of people.

Let the Yorubas and Northerners keep that office and us Igbos take a front row seat and watch them continue their destruction of Nigeria like they have been doing for the last 50 years.

May an Igbo man never be president of the British colonial creation called Nigeria, there are more important things for us Igbos to aspire to
Interesting that you should say that coz you Igbos have alot in common with Kukuyus of Kenya. The exception is the kikuyus have attained economic, numerical and political power -the trifecta.

So not being part of the same political spectrum as your relatives is a sign of hate toward those relatives?
This dude is just deeply disappointed because he thought he'd be getting special treatment and access to wealth on a platter in the usual African style when one of your relatives becomes a powerful man.

Malik just go melt away and disappear into oblivion with your bitterness. The USA isn't a place to peddle and trade cheap influence for a gain.

We use less water in uji preparation so it ends up thicker like our pap. Attached is what pap looks like ready to consume, your wife should know about it.
Alright thanks Pavore9 now i see .That's pretty much Uji-like in a slightly different texture no wonder Uche doesn't make it coz she also dislikes my Uji and even many other foods. But i guess that's the cultural cost of her being raised in the states coz i have nieces who are just like her.

Of course if it was Enugu,Port Harcourt or Awka i'd have approved .Your point is moot and you don't even know it.

I am addicted to chai masala and chapati as for uji, l "Nigerianized" the preparation to become thicker so it looks like our pap and take it alongside beans or fried sweet potatoes. Am not a chipo fan as l prefer sweet potatoes. As for githeri, l add palm oil and spices because l can not wrap my mind around taking it with Avocado as l will certainly throw up!

My kikuyu friends always make sure l share Muratina with them! cheesy
Educate me here- the way you put it just blurs the line between a drink and a dish .What is pap and how does it look or taste like?

Bad news for Flatinoes.
The OP has inverted the survey findings to fit his views.

There's no way Lagos can rate higher than Shenzhen ,Buenos Aires,Durban ,Rabat ,Melbourne,Houston and Algiers on livability and infrastructure.

A lot of Swahili words have relevance in the North. The title Waziri is common among Kenyans and Tanzania.
Lol that's very true i see you're doing well language-wise,i guess you're probably fluent in Swahili now aren't you? I'll go even further and suggest you're probably now culturalized to love tea drinking ,eating Chapati (addicted to chapati yet ?) and drinking Uji.

Nigerian names can have different meaning in Kenya too.Babatunde and Babangida would come off as "father of Ngida" or "father of Tunde".Your Igbo luminary Ngozi Iweala would mean her name Ngozi means "skin"...but you probably already know all that.

Say that to the Indonesians,Chinese,Italians,Indians ,Brits ,Ethiopians ,Cameroonians,Israelis and Nigerians in their thousands who've made Kenya their home for decades - the difference between you and them is that they see opportunity where you focus on pessimism and defeatist attitude.

If you always just focussed on the enormous pressures, the enormous heat and the back breaking work you will always certainly miss the enormous rewards of mining that valueable diamond.

Is it so hard for you to admit your country isn't better than mine?

I pity your kind greatly, all the energy you spend hating on Nigerians could be used in sending food to your hungry people.
Hate is such a strong word - i don't hate. You don't know me to accuse me of hatred - i'm the type of person who treats people as individuals and if a find a Nigerian who is level headed, dignified ,with a good heart and right values i'll put them 1st in friendship pecking order over a fellow kenyan who's values, temperament and character i dislike.Hate is NOT my forte.

This Naijalander guy is truly psychotic, contradictory and shows high level hypocrisy.

On the post above he claims "i don't really care for Kenya" and nobody in Naija wants to hear anything about his adopted country + place of work.

Duhhh, he cared enough to drag his ass all the way from Naija and to live in Kenya for years. His actions are self revealing -actions speak much louder than words. What kind of ill mannered guest goes to a friend's house and after being hosted for a week expresses contempt and ungratefulness to his hosts?
