I think if due process was not followed in giving him the double promotion, then Ribadu should be the first person to protest against it. Aint he the EFCC chairman then? I thought ensuring due process was carried out was part of his portfolio
I agree!

This is one of the reasons why I think Ribadu enjoyed or misses or wants the power more than anything else.
A man of integrity would have handled the situation much better and differently.

Don't you think so?
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 6:54pm On Aug 06, 2008
FYI  I stopped participating in this forum mealy because of clowns like BIGB1 who thinks the best thing Nigerian ever saw was IBB  AKA toothless general
Absolutely false statement.

You only stopped at this time because your folks at home are going through hell.
The stage is fragile and very unpredictable, hence it makes no sense for you to come here like you used to do to post the pictures of Ehindero houses.
In fact, another family member of yours was also brought down (demoted) just last night.

So, my friend save your face for those who do not understand your mentality and shoddy ways.
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 6:09pm On Aug 06, 2008
really do not know how many aeons it will take Big B1 to accept the fact that his gawd father IBB will never rule this country again. His main grouse has always been hinged on the fact IBB's presidential ambition was twarted by combined efforts of OBJ, PDP, the Civil Society, and Mr. Ribadu giving them tacit support.

Anything that has the signature of either OBJ or Ribadu must be smeared at all cost whether right or wrong. The mind set of Big B1 at this moment is not different with that of Ibori, Saraki, Odili, Andoaka and their likes.
That was a low blow and absolutely unnecessary.

I will rest my case and allow you guys to cry a little longer while Ribadu continues to hide from being arrested    pack up his shit and return back to his village.

All joke aside, believe it or not, Ribadu is still one of my favorite Nigerians and this will remain so forever.
I wish the man the best.

It is always better to do what is right legally or accordingly.

May God bless Nigeria!

@Mckren
I totally agree with you on "Presidential Order" sometimes am pissed off by comments on this forum, some posters often argued with strains on issues they know next to nothing.

The presidential system has a very powerful executive presidency, the president is the commander in chief of all the the security forces, in this sysyem one of the sources of law is a 'presidential proclamation or pronouncement' and for that matter the president can promote any officer in all the military and para-military forces by mere pronouncement. A General can promote any officer in his command by mere pronouncement how much more the C-in C

Again, Is Ribadu a political hunt dog? No I disagree,  he may have carried out his duty with much zeal and youthful excuberance but to say he's only against Obj enemies is insincerity, except somebody can convince me that Alams, Ibori, Dariye, Fayose,Lucky and host of others did not went away with public fund.

It is pathetic that the post-independence generation of Nigerian leaders have brought collateral damage to this nation, but I'am saddened that the mindset of majority of people in my generation is by far below average. I wonder what the future holds for Nigeria.

I also agree with a poster that say Yar Adua does not have "Dignity" I think he lack Character, Fortitude, Wisdom and Discreation.

God Save NIGERIA !
You sound just like my good friend, McKren.

A very stimulating bright post indeed.

"I agree"

The same Ribadu that openly criticized the GARRISON COMMANDER OF IBADAN and his god son before the elections
And then what happened?
And where is this God son today?
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 5:46pm On Aug 06, 2008
You can't see beyond your Ribadu hate filled eyes, can you?
I will never hate anyone.
Please, let us focus on the subject.

The man was illegally promoted and he was also finally brought back down.

What exactly is the problem here? and where is the hate?
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 5:44pm On Aug 06, 2008
The achievements of Ribadu no matter how hard people like Big B1 try to discredit it,
You see, this is the problem here; folks are too damn emotional and find it difficult to think clearly.

There is nobody discrediting Ribadu's accomplishment, but Ribadu himself (if he has one).
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 5:38pm On Aug 06, 2008
Why are people making noise about the guy's demotion? Was it not from DC that he was promoted to AIG in the first place? Is that how it is done?

Was it not under his leadership at EFCC dt people like Obasanjo and his men and daughter and sons cleaned out the treasury?
As far as I am concerned, Ribadu is just like any other corrupt officer that was a tool in Obasanjo's hands to terrorise his opponents.

Good riddance to bad rubbish
Totally agree!
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 5:38pm On Aug 06, 2008
I only hope they won't rig the next set of elections so that we won't need to endure more years of mediocrity
In fact, Ribadu was part of the crew that rigged this past election.
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 5:34pm On Aug 06, 2008
@Big B1
I could see properly now that obasanjo is actually your problem(main problem),and this has somehow beclouded your reasoning faculty,I think it's high time you grow up and accept issues the way they are. Please do grow up and think!you need this
Oludayo or whatever you call yourself; I will advise you to focus more on the subject.
Big B1 did not demote Ribadu, nor he's the governor of your village.

You should take your advise back to them in your village!

Why not simply shut up and hide your ignorance? you are so empty! Phew!!!
lol

You're a good man indeed.
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 5:23pm On Aug 06, 2008
If you were Ribadu and you have a president for a boss, what better could this lousy you have done
I would first solidify my base, publicly step down, relocate to other country for few years, while I write books that translate my reasons for stepping down.

This move keeps my integrity intact and gives me a chance to return some day and even run for the presidential position.

In a nation where too many are too corrupt for too long, you can never and will never win without revising the constitution.
It is that simple!
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 5:15pm On Aug 06, 2008
I forsee another season of waste, another tenure of backwardness
Let me help you guys!

Instead of incorrectly pointing fingers everywhere, I think obj should be blamed for:

1. Intentionally deceiving Nigerians by implementing a fake war against corruption.
2. Intentionally setting up a do or die (failed) presidential election.
3. Setting a terrible examples for the governors during his regime.
4. sabotaging a bright career of a young man (Ribadu).
5. Intentionally creating or leaving behind unnecessary confusion.
6. And still having the audacity to want to be involved.

If you can not see where our problems in Nigeria today are coming from, I'm not sure if you'll ever see anything else for the rest of your life.
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 5:03pm On Aug 06, 2008
Here we go with another winner!

Yaradua is the Chief Idiot! I knew this from the time he bribed his way into winning at the Election Tribunal.
And did Yar'Adua give the bride to Ribadu?
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 4:55pm On Aug 06, 2008
I guess you must have something personal against Ribadu, with the way you've been attacking the guy, right left and centre
Your guess is wrong and baseless.
Make no mistake about it, I truly admire the man and he remains one of my favorite Nigerians; but Nigerians must learn how to do what is right legally or accordingly.
I refuse to celebrate a pure failure.

My beef with Ribadu is the fact that the man is so intelligent, but at the same time allowed himself to be used cheaply.
We looked up to him but he intentionally deceived Nigerians and let us down face down.

As soon as Nigerians are bold and smart enough to be able to simply differentiate between success and failure, Nigeria as a nation will be a better place for you and myself.

I'm sorry, I don't give kudos to just anyone for just anything.

Ehindero (the jellyfish) did not bother to reinforce the protocol, because he was also busy eating government pepper soup at that same period.
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 4:26pm On Aug 06, 2008
Have anyone thought of the officers that suddenly realized that there juniors in the force have ascended to a higher rank just Bcoz of sheer favoritism.
Good point!
You're the man.

This was exactly what was going on. Infact few officers that were dispatched to support Ribadu's shady operations were also living large.
They completely stopped following the standard police force protocols, they were very disrespectful towards their seniors officers that were left behind and Mr. Ribadu clearly condoned all this illegal/ unprofessional action.

They thought they were untouchable.
They also illegally made more money than the rest.
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 4:19pm On Aug 06, 2008
What do you expect? I pity him sha, really he is a man of integrity but Na Naija We dey!
Absolutely no need to waste your time feeling bad; the man was told many times to be very careful being used by OBJ. He ignored all obvious signs.
I think he clearly understood what he was getting himself into, but did not understand that Nigeria did not belong to him or OBJ.
Nigeria is a nation not a village and EFCC chairman position is simply a REPLACEABLE POSITION that goes and comes.

And FYI and for the record: ATIKU discovered him (Ribadu) and brought him to the limelight.

You must never bite the fingers that feed you.
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 4:11pm On Aug 06, 2008
He should just resign. Am sure international security bodies will pick him up. He is a man of integrity and hardwork
You think so?

FYI: international security bodies will never pick up anything that is directly connected to OBJ shady regime.

Sorry, I thought everyone knew this.

LESSON for all:

No matter what your position may be, or no matter what you may want to accomplish, or no matter what the circumstance may be; you must never sell yourself cheap and always treat people with respect and equally.
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 4:00pm On Aug 06, 2008
Even Ehindaro's(what ever his name is) sister was demoted as well.
This is correct, this is also one of the main reasons why MAMAJAMA has been very quiet lately; they saw it coming, but did not expect it to drop this quick.

When you intentionally sleep with a dirty dog, you must also be ready and willing to deal with both fleas and ticks.
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 3:20pm On Aug 06, 2008
He should only be demoted on the grounds of misconduct, a charge which no one can lay against him
Are you kidding me?

Look, my advise for Ribadu is to simply move on quick; there is no way he could recover from this severe down fall, which he has setup for himself.
Or else, things will only continue get worst for him, because theman is not as clean as he seems to be.

Trust me!
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 3:14pm On Aug 06, 2008
He Ribadu CANNOT be adjudged to be a hero when in fact it is on record that the government in which Ribadu was the EFCC boss was said to have been more corrupt than the successive governments in the history of Nigeria politicking. It is a case of chicken coming home to roosthuh Ribadu belongs to the same 'class' that perpetrated injustice and perversion on the land. Good riddance!
I agree!
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 3:12pm On Aug 06, 2008
You guys are talking trash, where was Ribadu when Yaradua was selected? The hands he feed is now hurting him badly.
Hahahahahahaha Justice should never be one sided.
Absolutely on point.
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by BigB11(m): 2:11pm On Aug 06, 2008
I guess u don't understand that Yaradua should be held responsible for Ribadu's demotion
Again, McKren, you do not get it.
Yar'Adua has done what is right by getting rid of Ribadu.

There was not need to fight over left over; the right thing to do was to immediately discard the mess OBJ left behind.

If Ribadu was still in-charge, Ehindero would still be walking around beating his chest as the man, his sister wouldn't have been demoted (as she was also promoted illegally), Bode George would still be sitting pretty, Akala would still be stealing 1 Billion every 11 months as a governor and many many more.

Ribadu played himself.
Yar'Adua has done well.
Foreign AffairsRe: It Is Clear That Obama Needs Hillary To Win; Period! by BigB11(op): 1:59pm On Aug 06, 2008
FYI: When John McCain graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1958, he was ranked 894 out of 899 students.

This means Senator John McCain had extremely bad grades (bunch of D's and may be 1 or 2 C's) in college. So when the man tells you that he doesn't have brain to solve your economic problem; he's damn serious.
When the man mixes things up between Sunni and Shia; it is real and not a joke
And when the man struggles to read on the national TV; it is for real and not a Saturday Night Life.

The question is: Are the Americans ready or deserve another witless president?
PoliticsRe: Former Efcc Chairman, Nuhu Ribadu Arrested? by BigB11(m): 1:35pm On Aug 06, 2008
We must learn and focus more on how to always do what is right accordingly. This is the only way our nation will move forward effectively and efficiently.

It makes no sense to do what is right illegally!
PoliticsRe: Former Efcc Chairman, Nuhu Ribadu Arrested? by BigB11(m): 1:21pm On Aug 06, 2008
his promotion was indeed irregular. OBJ is to blame. i wish nigerians cld rise up to these evil doers
@ Angel101: I agree.

The man was illegally promoted by OBJ to fight his political enemies.
You see, Nigerians are blind and do not think deep enough. We tend to follow without using our common sense effectively. Ribadu had his chance to make things happen, but he did not take advantage of the opportunity. The man craves for power more than anything else, but he forgot that there are rules and regulation.
I'm sure that with time, folks in general will begin to realize that Ribadu is not a superman, he's not better than any of us. He is just another man that wants his ego stroked by fools.

Question:
Did you guys complain when Ribadu was illegally promoted?
Did you even know that Ribadu was illegally promoted?

Ribadu wasted money and time during his time fighting fake war against corruption; in fact he remains one of the reasons why none of these governors has yet to be successfully prosecuted. But of course, Nigerians are too blind and dull to see this fact.

I'm not sure if there is any reason for any of us to make big deal out of this latest development, it was expected
When you intentionally sleep with a dirty dog, you must also be ready and willing to deal with both fleas and ticks.
This is exactly what is currently going on.

Absolutely not a big deal; Nigeria as a nation is bigger than Ribadu, you or myself. We must learn and focus more on how to always do what is right. This is the only way our nation will move forward effectively and efficiently.
