Lagbaja88: Canadians will appoint people regardless of tribe, religion and man know man. The leakages in the oil and gas sector will be reduced by about 90%. They will slowly begin to invest in infrastructure, cost of governance will be reduced. In 15 years time Nigeria will look like Canada.
Nigerians will go over to Canada, first loot all the reserves and savings. We introduced nepotism, tribalism and all manner of nonsense. Over time like 20 years. Canada will look like Nigeria.
Nigerians and blacks to be honest are cursed A Nigerian immigrating to Canada is running away from his/her kind and pursuing economic progress and good environment his kind couldn't provide him. The implication is that black migration to Canada must be controlled so that blacks don't become a majority in any town or city or the country. Because if they do, that city or tow may become Nigeria. This doesn't just apply to Nigeria but also India. There are parts of London e.g. forest gate that have been converted to India |

If a Chinese does not want to learn your own language, it doesn't mean you shouldn't learn theirs.
Imagine learning the language and becoming good. He can never be jobless. China is taking over the world. A person who can speak Chinese will get job in many countries of the world.
We are all motivated by something.
And money tops the list of what motivates us. Because without money, we can't survive.
So, many of those who began coding many years ago saw the opportunity that the computer age was offering.
They took their chances, and today many of them can afford to code for the fun of it, while also making money. There's something called dehumanization. The average Chinese person regards an African as a MONKEY. And you are dehumanizing yourself further by going to learn their language. Google: "kenya deports Chinese racist monkey". This is why their companies in Nigeria work ppl like slaves. They may be helping Africa with loans and infrastructural development but a lot of them don't see you as an equal. And you are going further to learn their language? You first leaned English and now learning Chinese? Why cant Africa take over the world? Don't give me the bad leaders BS pls. Let me not derail too much frol the topic. Learn c# or java whichever allows you to express your programming skills more |

c# > java by the way . Java is unnecessarily complicated and convoluted. |

Kettlecorn: Sir, let me tell you something. Nigeria is called a "shithole" country, not just because we don't have electricity or running water or good roads or good functioning schools. Its also because the average Nigerian does not know/understand the duties of a citizen and does not realize nor care about the larger effects of their actions on society at large. We are still caught up in an 18th century jungle justice system where we think an individual can be the Judge, Jury and Executioner all in one even when we have written laws, organizations and systems that should decide outcomes. I am telling you that society at large is worse for it because we think we are being "kind" by letting a thief go. Nigeria is full of thieves because we let them all go, big and small thieves alike. As to your question "he was stealing sardines and tomatos and stuff and those things have receipts which tells you their value." No sir, what you paid for something does not necessarily determine its value under the law. This is why I say let the legal system handle it. We as average individuals are not equipped for this. One of the wisest posts I have read on nairaland in a long time..... also ppl don't adhere to the rules. They love "helping" ppl which basically means subverting the rules .... the emphasis is subvert the rules and by doing so build a stronger relationship for the person you subverted the rule for. |

How much did they pay you? Buhari alone can't make the economy better. It's extortionist Nigerians that head most of the institutions that are holding the economy back from getting better. It's the Nigerians themselves. What of the 36 governors? |
Politics › Re: How Nigerians Fail Themselves And Blame Buhari by BigBashiru(op): 2:28pm On Jan 24, 2021 |
BluntTheApostle: This is quite unnecessary.
In Nigeria, we have political, religious and traditional leaders, and they all play major roles in setting standards, and strengthening institutions. Buhari is just one of our political leaders. He is not even our only political leader.
You are right. But this is a collective effort, and not that of just the leaders. That is the point the OP is making. Buhari has his own faults, but we have our own faults too. You can't blame Buhari for the indiscipline of someone flouting traffic regulations. The United States spends a lot on enforcing traffic rules, but still people break traffic rules all the time in the United States. Are you still going to blame the United States governments for not teaching people how to be responsible?
But parents don't always meet all the demands of their children, however hard they try.
Perhaps, you are right. But what the OP is saying is that there are things which we should claim responsibility for instead of blaming Buhari. Exactly you got my point. Politically there are state governors and councillors these guys are more able to quickly effect change than Buhari. Of all the councillors why hasn't any been desirous of making their council great rapidly? It can't all be blamed on one man (Buhari). |

Praxis758: This is a blind, myopic, senseless, saltless, jejune and illogical post.
A Leader is the aggregate of it ts subjects. It is the duty of a leader to set standards, institutitions, modalities and policies that will define boundaries, terms and conditions of his domain.
These standards and policies will in turn give shape and define the culture, norms, ethics, discipline and peculiarities of the people.
It's right of children to cry to their parents for needs and wants while the parents are expected to meet those demands. Buhari is synonymous to a national parent while the masses are like the children.
It's unfortunate that he is mentally, academically and socially unfit to govern us. He's too archaic. What you have typed up is half correct. It is correct literally. But the leader you speak about should be state governors. What you have typed apply to state governors. The fact 36 state governors are not meeting expectations suggests defectiveness. |

Nigerians kidnap themselves and use themselves for ritual - they blame Buhari; Buhari isnt to be blamed here.... onus is on Nigerians to fix their money hungry culture..... theres hunger in ukraine and poland but they arent using themselves for rituals over there....
Nigerians cant follow simple round about or traffic lights or just barely follow it - they blame buhari for it.
every country has bad roads....in canada for example, when it snows, drivers slow down.... in nigeria, drivers overspeed on the bad stretches of road and blame buhari.
Nigerians learn to blame yourselves for your woes.
if kidnapping was due to poverty, they will not be asking for 50m, its GREED so they can drive fancy cars to impress girls..... nothing more.... |

masterP042: A mere 17billion u said At this point in time, anyone trying to justify the excesses of this govt is damn right devilish. A country where 48% of it's citizens are living in extreme poverty ie below $2 per day, a country where unemployment rate is at the roof top, a country where the students have been at home for almost a year, a country so clueless that it still practices normadic farming in 2021, a country that has no working refinery where as the state of Texas alone has about 47 refineries. I don't know how those that defend this act do sleep at night.. I guess we've not actually had an experience of what true leadership is, in this country, and that's why we celebrate mediocrity. A former president of Uruguay, Jose Mujica donated about 90 percent of his salary, but here despite recession and hardship, Buhari increased his personal allocation. Is he human The negro race vs Uruguay? The difference is clear! |

Christians refuse simple logical reasoning. It is Satan that will implement mark of the beast - but it is God that approved Satan to implement it. Since God created Satan, it is God implementing mark of the beast against us through satan - thats my point. Obviously God can do whatever He wants - my grievance is the use of mark of the beast as an instrument of threats - every year Christians flock to this forum saying how this year or this month is the time or that covid-19 vaccine is the mark. Why dont God just implement this mark of the beast once and for all and lets be over and done with it??
Its God that gave Satan power to implement mark of the beast so God is responsible. |
