Africa airlines grin grin grin ;

Yeah. Ethiopia airlines won’t, Egyptair too. If I have someone with recent experience then we can check with the airline. Traveling is imminent as I am not certain about renewing exemption authorization.

Hello BiggestAmaju,

Two months to resumption is necessarily not a wrong time to travel (when compared to a month), especially if you have a critical or good reason(s) to want to facilitate entry that early.

Ensure to have a quarantine plan!

Best of Luck

Thanks. All African airlines won’t carry until a month to resumption. I don’t know if anyone have used any airline 2 months to resumption and was able to travel.

Anyone travelled 2 months to course start date? Authorization for travel exemption for kids is expiring soon and traveling is imminent. Or has anyone renewed the travel exemption authorization? Which airline would carry passengers two months before course start date?

The advice I gave to the op is different from your friend's case. The immigration officer your friend met at Murtala Muhammed International Airport needed her to show proof of her enrollment which is by means of providing her "Confirmation of Enrollment" letter and tuition payments from the Institution, since she has already completed 1 full academic year in Nigeria. This is completely not in-line with what I originally advised.

Ps: For the sake of clarity, this is the op's situation;
The op's case is that he intends to change a DLI upon arrival in Canada and haven't started any online program. He was asking whether he should pay tuition upfront to the former school before embarking on his trip to Canada, which I categorically advised against. In light of this, I don't see any connection with that of your friend's case.

It will end in praise

Well said boss. I was only trying to add that he might not be allowed to fly without a confirmation of enrollment. I am not sure one can enroll
without tuition payment. I was only trying to use that scenario to add that confirmation of enrollment is a vital document for boarding from Nigeria. I was not in anyway countering your view boss.

It's perfectly okay to travel in July. Although, your medicals should be valid before your arrival in Canada. You don't need to pay for your tuition fee to the former institution since you intend to change/transfer to another DLI within Canada. Should the immigration officer ask you whether you've paid for your tuition, you can explain to them that your school don't require you to pay tuition fees upfront until the first day to start of classes.

I hope this information helps.

My friend did this and was not allowed to board the flight from Lagos. She completed her second semester exam in April and decided to travel to Canada in May in preparation for her 3rd semester in September. With every confirmation she presented at the check-in counter she was not allowed to travel. The lady insisted she MUST bring evidence of being registered for the 3rd semester before she can be checked in.

There's something I'm not understanding here
1. If my tuition fee for 1year and living expenses is 8m and I have a sponsor, I dont think it will be wise for my sponsor to commit or tie down that money when he can use it for his business turnover.
2. That my married sponsor has 10m as his closing balance and I have 8m at his expense doesn't mean he cannot sponsor me what should matter is the cash flow. Of course I can't have 10m and have a business to do with it and decided to forfeit the business because I'm sponsoring even its my son or daughter. I believe that the issue of visa approval is God as we don't really know what this people are looking for from applicant's.
3. Closing balance is the reason people go for magomago way by lump sum. My opinion o.

I think here is where they become suspicious and ruthless. Once the picture shows that the same money for sponsorship could be invested by the sponsor. The suspicious that the money may not be available comes in. And for visa decisions 1% doubt is greater than the 99% trust. In presenting financial strong ties, outside business, the sponsor's income MUST have been built or saved overtime. The source too should be stated even if not shown. Every large deposits within the months prior to printing account statements these days are suspicious and the many reasons for refusal for personal assets and finances. Instead of being in a hurry to beat the May 15th submission benchmark for Fall 2021 applicants, the focus should be on getting a strong financial tries which is commonly the biggest problem. I know lots of explanation have been done by gurus in this regard but regularly sensitizing people will just be fine. As well people don't even make personal search these days and the Canada waka need patience and effort to get it right. Sponsors must display strong financial stand not just in the volume of account balance or inflow and outflow but the consistency in savings. Like someone posted yesterday that he has a monthly salary of 450k but with a turn over of 21m in the past 6 months. Realistically how is this attainable? These are some of the issues. I am still learning and I will continue to learn cos this Canada matter is simply difficult.

Good day everyone, so I just checked my profile and saw that I’ve been denied the study permit on the basis of the VO not been convinced or whatever that I will return to my country after study. Now my only problem is that I booked for medicals UPfront with Qlife thinking the next stage was going to be medical request. But oh well, so now my confusion is do I still go ahead to do the medicals as my application has been denied or do I ask for a refund from Qlife given the situation on ground.

I applied from Nigeria. I had to send mail and webform to all available VAC offices and got that reply from Turkey. Just wondering the delay in updating medicals since April 1. The wait nor be beans o.

DINO71:

Hi
Did you apply in Turkey? I applied on the 1st of April and got AIP on the 6th although it was dated 5th. Later got my BVL immediately my DLI was Covid ready which was the first batch. The following day got my PPR. I think the delay is because of your school just being approved at a time there is a lot of backlog of applications to roll out as per PPRs and the rest. It appears they are really overwhelmed and are trying to slow down the pace of processing applications. I even understand that India VACs have been closed for now. I know it can be frustrating..... let’s not loose faith, you will get there.

April 1st applicant with upfront medical. No update till I got AIP August 5th. No correspondence till date. I have since started lectures online. My school was added to the DLI with Covid-19 readiness plan 2 days ago. And after series of mails and webforms with medical result attached, I got this...
Good day, you have reached the Migration Section of the Canadian Embassy in Turkey.

Thank you for your enquiry.

Please be informed that your copy of medical examination has already been uploaded to your application.

I wish to inform you that, in accordance with the Access To Information Act*, an extension of 60 days beyond the statutory 30 day limit is necessary to process your request. Ok . So the car deals are also entering your personal account as multiple deposits and withdrawals.
Then the salary u told them u earn could not be ascertained on ur bank statement but unknown to them this is because u are servicing a loan. This is a bad sign I think.

I dnt think u should reapply until u can sort out ur salary credits to appear monthly on ur bank statement in full.
If u decide to use funds from ur business to sort your trip out, then be ready to make a clean account as a self employed business man.
This would preferably entail u runnin a clean personal account and paying urself a fixed monthly amount from ur business account. Do this for a period not less than SIX MONTHS. Not to jumble and mix them both up
Ur business money is for the running of ur business, if u want it for holiday, there are processes. Pay urself monthly a salary, from this fixed monthly salary u wud be able to determine the answers to d rest of d questions.

Well said. This is the easiest way they understand self employed SOA.

Hello bro, pls for example in a payslip, between gross pay and total net, which of the two is the person monthly income that will be stated on the employment letter??

She does not need employment letter. All she need is the business registration document to show she own the business. She must avoid lodgment of any kind. Just point out her monthly pay and expenses. The easiest way is to get a defined earnings. This people just need easy presentation of your personal account. They don't trust anything business account. For our approved 5 years visa I didn't include my business account in the application. I submitted my company documents and my personal account showing my monthly earnings. I applied with my family too. That's easy for them to see that though I have a registered business (company) I still have personal earnings that won't be spent on investments.

Once she starts getting monthly salary from her business she can fix that into the pay slip and must correspond with her monthly earning. That's the language they understand easily.

justwise:

Don't do that, its fraudulent act, you can't prepare your own payslip when you are running one man/woman business, that is scoring an own goal and self-deceiving.

The money your mum makes after expenses is her profit and not salary. She can keep record of her purchases, sales and profits. at the end of every months or weeks she move her profit from business account to savings and present these two accounts during her visa application.

Paying yourself salary for purpose of visa application is like setting your own exam questions, answer them then award yourself high marks.

Frankly, the quickest way for self employed to get their visa is by getting salaries into their savings account monthly. It gives you easy financial presentation. I tried all effort using joint company and profit as explained by Just Wise but got refused 4 times. I took time to pay myself and submitted and got the visa. Sometimes you try to explain to the best of your knowledge and the VO might get a different view. There is nothing wrong paying your self a defined monthly salary as long as the business is stable and running well.

If it has worked for others it can work for her too. Paying your self from your own business isn't a fraud.

I just want to find out if DMC now sends refusal emails to every unsuccessful applicant or just some handpicked ones. My friend received a refusal email from DMC last week and then an email from TSL asking him to come to collect his passport. But, this afternoon, I only received a mail from TSL informing me that my passport is ready for collection (I didn't receive a refusal email prior to that). Does this indicate a success?

Hello house, could you please help me out with my budget for my uk visa. I earn 259k each month and spend 40k as expenses every month. Please what reasonable budget can I present for a 6 days visit to the Uk. Pls put hotel Hotel reservation into consideration and this is my first application. Abeg help a brother. I am confuse

Just try to keep your budget around £900 and make a very good presentation of your application. You can work around something like:
Return Ticket: £460
Hotel Accommodation with wifi: £150
Feeding: £160
Transportation: £30
Shopping for my children £100
Total: £900

Bear in mind that there are very many free attractions in London with trekkable distances. Transportation within central London is somewhat cheap once you are familiar with the routes. For the accommodation make a thorough search for the cheapest or consider hostels with wifi but without breakfast. I am sure you can comfortably workout something around £900. But most importantly make sure you send in a very good application with good reason for wanting to spend that much for a 6 days trip when you spend a meagre 40k monthly smiley

Has anyone here gotten a visit visa without any travel history before? I mean a virgin passport

Travel history maybe good but not a deciding factor. Unlike Shenghen and Canada refusal letters, I have not seen UK visa refusal based on travel history. Get a watertight application and get your visa. We have seen many first timer's clinch their visa. I have seen people who for the fear of travel history sent their passport by road to Ghana to get stamp and claim unnecessary travel history. Many were banned for forgery. I also know of someone with fake Benin, Togo and Ghana border stamp returned in Heathrow en route to the US. Just package your application tight with good reasons to visit and show you have the finances with verifiable source and you will surely get it.

Personally, the budget is still high if it's your first application. You can keep flight within 450 or 460. There are very many free tour attractions in London like London eye, Buckingham palace, Trafliager square, St James Park and very many trekkable places around central London you can use to your advantage to reduce the budget; keep your budget within 900 and 1,000. How you present your case matters most, not the amount.

omopapa:
Salary 420k - 98k monthly expenses = 322k disposable income

Ur budget shld not exceed 322k x 2 = 644k

Oanda exchange rate today is 494 but let’s use 500 to be on the safe side hence you have 500 x 1223 = 611,500 which is good

I know quite a few that were returned at port of entry for this reason. The last being yesterday.

Brightingsus:

Yes, that is correct but the reason for coming to the UK becomes defeated. What is the point of booking a flight, coming to the UK to be bound by the walls of a house for the whole of your stay? You get to POE and you are asked why you have come to the UK, what do you say? They ask you where would you isolate, what do you say?
