felo12:Hi When did you get ur certificate? I am yet to get mine (30K units) |
egoldman:I presume you bought from the floor and in this case, yes you qualify for the Dividend. |
@all what do you think about entering AGLeventis at current price? |
invisible!:that is exactly my point, the whole premise of your argument hinges on the big "IF". Did you ever look at the other side of the coin - which is at the crux of the Benard Baruch quote. |
invisible!:this is on the assumption that the price of Oceanic will remain static whilst other prices appreciate? Sounds like wishful thinking or pipe dream at best. Remember the quote "I have never met anyone who could predict the future trend of the market - except liars!!! Bernard Baruch" |
Naijadr:Yes, I did state clearly (TS price of N25.51) |
invisible!:The more i read this article on the Guardian the more I get worried about this spate of capitalisation and recapitalisation, PO upon PO of banks. I strongly suspect round-tripping and you know what follows if this is the case. If in doubt check the case of the energy companies Enron, CMS Energy, Reliant Energy, and Dynegy in the US. If founded, then be afriad, be very very afraid. |
Naijadr:Yes oooo, I use UBAS, as of yesterday I asked my relationship officer for an update and all she said "I'll let you know when its done". Am I not supposed to know what proportion (if any) has been bought. I am just worried that I might end up not getting it and at the same time miss out on other good entry prices. |
@All Do you know why it is taking my broker more than 5 trading days (and counting) to get 20K units of Bank PHB from the floor. Is it to be expected or are they being lax about it? Is it better to cancel this mandate and substitute it with FCMB (or any other stock?)? Replies please |
arsenal4va:Dont ask me why, but this site generally tends to be down during holidays. I've noticed this trend myself. I bet it'll be up and running 2mo |
FatherOF2:Na waa ooo, It looks like the CHN / CSCS No are used interchangeably. This text was lifted from an article on CSCS website "Clearing House Number/CSCS NO. (eg. C123567AB)" |
samstone4:See reply to this query dealt with in another thread on this forum tonyjon: |
NBA:Thanks, I have the contact details of my relationship officer. The thing is that I gave a mandate to purchase PHB on Thursday last week up till now I havent heard if it is successful or not. Hence, I wanted to go direct to the stockbrokers to find out wassup. Does it normally take this long? If the stock no dey abeg make I buy other alternatives now bears don enter town. |
Talktrue:The TA suite is wicked, basic is out and running. Deluxe and Pro to follow soon. The time period is limited to 1mth at the moment but I am sure with time this will be increased. Worth checking out |
@all in the house Does anyone have the email / direct line to UBA Stockbrokers? |
pumping777:about $507.5m which means the GDR was oversubscribed? |
I be Engineer as well, me sef I get 2-1, but the brain don tire, sometimes sef e no go gree wake up from sleep. Even sef caffeine no de wake am up when e decide sleep software o jare. Post am 4 house or jazzyjay6789 at hotmail dot com |
ckenneths:On another note , talking about negative press, 2 colleagues of mine have had their PC's (at home on diffrent occassions) infected with trojans / spyware which. One had emails sent out to everyone on her contacts database requesting them to send them money because she is being held hostage by someone in Nigeria whom she met online. The other had his online banking credentials captured and had £1800 swipped from his A/C. this was eventually traced back to Nigeria. Being the only black person in an office of about 15 and a Nigerian for that matter (proudly so) how would that make me feel. Negative publicity !!!! |
ololufemi:Good for people like me init. Lurking around for bargains |
Regarding Costain they have Q1 07 result on NSE website as follows Turnover (2007/2006) N772.6m / N344.4m PAT (2007/2006) N116.5m / (N205.0m) for Q2 07 Turnover (2007/2006) - 1.497B/1.457B PAT (2007/2006) - 0.130B/0.676B which means that PAT increased by N13.5m only. My concern is it still leaves them with N384m (~75%) to make up the forecast of N514m by the end of their year. Did anything dramatic happen that would have affected their bottom line between Q3 and Q4? Does not look good in the short term More insights please |
@house A quick one, does anyone have costain results for the year so far? |
MyPeace:cashcraft is the answer, don't know others havent updated their prices |
Looking at costain prospectus, does anyone know they were making heavy losses for 4 yrs prior to YE 31/03/07. What caused the change in fortune in 2007? |
pumping777:Pumps thanks for the prospectus, oya over to phase 2 - rip am to shreds and digest your findings with the house (as usual). I de your side ohhhh. |
Any sign of costain prospectus anyone? |
@All in da house Nobody seems to be talking about AIICO prospectus that came out a couple of days ago. Is it not that juicy? Come on lets disect it |
VIPICO:Oh boy carry time ooo, how dare u want to knock or diss pumping777. He is highly respected on this forum. If he has to answer all emails, then he would need more than 24hrs of the day to do it. Pumping, no mind am jare. If he hassle u anymore just tell me and I go buy the case from you. VIPICO - make I no vex for you ooooooo |
pumping777:You are the man, not even a mention of it on Greenwich Trust's home page. Abeg do ur magic 4 Costain |
Have we abandoned COSTAIN and AIICO?I have searched all areas of the web, done all sorts of searches and power searches with all sorts of permutations and combinations, no hit of AIICO offer. Is this really happening? If it is, then it must be a gold mine which might explain why it is being kept down low |
@Windywendy, Wanaj0, Pumping777, easimoni, Roughcut and all members of the house. Please have a look at the attached chart, Have I got the averages right? if yes what does the mixture of signals suggest? In arriving at BUY/SELL decision, I have used the prevailing condition that "When the shorter moving average (the one calculated from the lowest number of intervals) moves above the longer moving average a buy signal is generated and when the short moving average moves below the longer moving average a sell signal is generated." from www.trademade.com |
@Windywendy, Wanaj0, Roughcut, Pumping777 and all gurus to mention but a few and indeed all members of the house A quick question, why is there not much enthusiasm about the Afribank PO. Is it that bad? regards |
