The IV thing is buls just to discourage people.

What do you mean by not people with 10mhuh? How much do they expect us to cough out within dayshuh?
infact i think that 80% of the 2bn has already been allocated even before yesterday. We are scrambling for the remaining 20%. that is how good it is. how they priced it so cheap at N2.50 beats me.

i am looking at the latest X5 as i post

I was told that the letter of IV thingy is bulls, basically if you know someone (not receptionist, not even officer) just hurry. the door is 99 closed. the remaining 1% is just for a select few. Not people with 10M, if you havenet got serious money just forget it. i hear crazy amounts. (For once, I am getting my news from people in the know).

This is the one. this one no be moi-moi

Frankly, from your post yesterday it was difficult to tell if you were serious or you were just kidding. If you have authentic jist and the house is doubtful, please go the extra length to reconfirm.

The same issue with the first poster of the UBA results yesterday, afamako. When I asked to reconfirm, I was even more confused by his reply about smelling Columbian or Arabian coffee when na only pap I dey drink  .

I didnt know I had to. called my contact on sunday in prepation for monday. Was in a meeting all through the day came out of the meeting saw a few missed calls from (. . . ). rushed frantically and instructed a cheque to be sent in, by the time i finished, str8 on the laptop, broke the news to the house (at least in enough time to fill out a form and get cheque sent in). Wanaj0 thought i was having a laugh.

the thing even take me by surprise, I was hoping to take my time and go for the jugular, I missed the jugular but it landed below the belt.

You want the ratio of current assets:current liabilities to be anything from 0.5:1,1:1,2:1, etc, as long as the current assets are more than or equal to the current liabilities side (at least no less than 0.5 preferably)
Is a ratio of 0.5:1 (of current assets:current liabilities) really desirable?. This ratio suggests that for every asset there are 2 liabilities huh huh huh huh huh

@ALL

I like what I read about CHAMS PP, and I have managed to negotiate down Universal Insurance price grin, Thanks to iconbull and Etin wink
The problem is I want to know when I will be able to make profit on my investment. Using CHAMS as example, I should have my certificate at the end of April, is that when I will be able to sell?

I haven't done PP before, unchatted territory for me !, and please tell me now if you think I'm making a wrong move!!

Thanks,
You might want to ask your broker, but I think the CHAMS PP is by invitation only. It is stated in the first couple of pages

Na waaaa ohh, I am being charged N5 for every N1000 leaving my UBA NRN current account, in addition to a monthly maintainenance fee of N105.

From now on, all transfers to be made from my savings account

The problem is that the saving account (openend ages ago when I was in Nja) is not part of my NRN suite of accounts and I don't know how to add it to my NRN suite.

Any suggestions?

I am surprised at the turn of events here! sometimes in early december that i mentioned i wanted to cycle into unity bank, some gurus here said there was nothing good about unity bank, that they will never touch it with a ten foot pole.

When i mentioned that i made a fast 40% in the stock in three months, they still told me the bank is as good as dead. They told me i was being sentimental and will make a mistake because i got lucky last time.

Thank God i didnt listen, went ahead and bought me a few hundred k units, and see how una dey praise the so called dead bank!

Na me go sell to una on monday I will offload my unity bank on you guys tongue  grin tongue grin
u de do shakara? who tell u say your fortunes don change? de there now all this na speculation.

"Oceanic Bank Plc new Closure Date is January 7, 2008 instead of 16-18 January, 2008 and later January 9, 2008 that was previously advised."

Aptistock downloader does not download a line if one of the data in the 8 columns is missing e.g if the data you have for 02/01/2008 is missing open or close price. It will not import correctly. It treats each symbol for a date as an entity. FSDH data frequently does not have low price: Aptistock will not like this. Zenith is consistent in having all the data.

If you have data with input missing, you would have to sort: depending on how you sort, the missing data will be arranged at the top or bottom. You can then delete.

@ Bigjay

I think the NA you got is because when ever you save a file as CSV, all cell formating is lost. You could do the linking between two excel sheets and all you would have to do is copy from the excel and paste into the csv

@ Pumping777
When i was creating my original data, I just did copy and paste: merging cells in different sheets is a little bit tricky, more so when the number of rows is not fixed. You can copy data in 24 sheets into your clip board. Once you click paste all, everything gets pasted
I get data from Zenith, sometimes they miss data for some securities on certain days, (eg ACADEMY is missing from the list for 27-12). there is no way of knowing until you run vlookup of the imported price list. Excel puts #N/A in the cell 'cos it cant find it. This is not a problem if it one security on one day 'cos you can get the data frm some other source. It becomes a problem it there are several securities over several days

For anyone using NSE.csv, find attached NSE2.csv for 24/12/07 to 02/02/08, import it and individual securities will be updated with extra info
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by bigjay01(m): 12:57pm On Jan 03, 2008
richieade:
I have the same problem you have and if u happen to find a solution please do post it, thx.
The formular i used to pull in data into NSE.csv from the master excel workbook returned #N/A because the data I was looking for did not exist in the master workbook, I copied the whole stuff result and pasted it into a text editor and manually deleted all lines with #N/A, copied the results back over the original NSE.csv, rows shifted up (as is expected, no problem), hence less rows. This is not a problem at all.

pumping777 has already answred this query, you should only be worried if a consecutive read error from row 1 to the end occurs. A quick inpection of the offending rows of NSE.csv should tell if theres error or not.
