And I'll advise you to do so too (if you can) if you watch aljazeera and see what's happening in Italy, I dont think youll have the nerve to step out. NB, uber/bolt drivers are highly exposed as some healthy ppl you hail today might be carrier as symptoms hide till after 14days.
I wish you all God's protection at a time like this Bruv,do you really think the hysteria over this virus is necessary. Do u really think Nigerians can sit at home for 2 weeks straight.do u really think naija economy can stand a total shutdown for just one week ? What we need is massive efficient sensitisation on safety and hygiene. All this panic will cause a bigger crisis than covid19 can ever cause. Law and order totally breaks down when there is massive hysteria. That really is my own fear |

FuckThaMod: You Nigerians don't know what is going on, do you? The earlier everyone isolates themselves by sitting at home, the better. If not, a lot are gonna die! We need to stop all this unnecessary panic, how can you tell Nigerians to stay at home because of this. What u need to keep preaching is how best people can protect themselves and educate them properly about the virus. U think Nigerian economy can stand just one week shutdown right now. All this panicking will cause more crisis than u can ever imagine |

Some people think Coronavirus is a joke...
Please don't joke about this, see what's happening in Italy; 475 people die every 24hrs. Take precautions and stay protected! I think the whole thing is being a bit exaggerated. |

Yet everyone is already panicking that this virus would wipe us out.

Yes we have suffered misgovernance,a civil war,a dysfunctional political system and very useless political class, these much I agree but we still standing strong and tall. Nigerians make their own way,Nigerians are go getters ,strong, brave and industrious. You only lucky u still got ur apartheid masters around still helping u hold the systems they built together. DictatorZAR1: Thats the response of a illiterate trying to hide the fact that South Africans are more literate then Nigerians who has over 100m people who cant read or write. Our Universities and schools are rated the Top in all of Africa when it comes to research output, yet here you come and spew your ignorance.
As for disease burden SA's life expectancy tells us all that on average a South African lives longer then a yellow fever Igbo Igbo bast@rd. It's obvious u weren't taught manners in those supposed schools of yours. Your education is also vile and shallow. As I stated, u can have a higher literacy ratio than Nigeria but u do not have as many educated people as Nigeria- 25 of 50 is 50% but 45 of 100 is 45%. Your people are not better educated than Nigerians and can never be. I agree ur universities may have higher rankings than the ones in Nigeria but I bet u Nigerians will always beat u in academic achievements any day any time. You also need to back ur disease arguments with facts,if Nigeria was so diseased ravaged as your dimwited mind thinks,we still wouldn't be the most populous black nation. |

DictatorZAR1: Where did you check or get your info from, because if that was the truth we would be suffering from the same insurgency and ISWAP issues like you guys in West Africa. But last time i checked SADC is the most stable region in SSA. We are talking about light arms proliferation. What we are suffering in Nigeria and by extension west africa is that ISWAP is multi national and a foreign agression. You cannot compare terrorism in Nigeria with illegal arms proliferation in SA.The former is a war why the latter is norm. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: SA To Build Fence On Zimbabwe Border 'To Stem Virus' by Bigleaf1006: 12:57pm On Mar 20, 2020 |
DictatorZAR1: The irony is that Nigeria has a far lower literacy rate then SA and has a far larger disease burden compared to SA and I'm not even touching on Nigeria's infant mortality rate. Considering the population of Nigeria, illiteracy will definitely exceed SA's,even India have higher figures than Nigeria. However Nigeria has more educated people than SA and also more skilled work force than SA. About disease burden,we all know the HIV capital of the world |

I can only laugh at the " envy" part Cause ur lot are ignorant and no zilch about other cultures. The bandwagon frenzie distorts intuitive thinking by a group of people who decide to stay illiterate. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: SA To Build Fence On Zimbabwe Border 'To Stem Virus' by Bigleaf1006: 7:35am On Mar 20, 2020 |
IronGalaxy: Nope, Nigerians aren't sorely responsible for those crimes, BUT! When a certain group keeps popping up on the news for a variety of crimes it creates a perception among people and it's natural. There's a reason why South Africans don't view Ethiopians, for example the way they view Nigerians. Africans in general actually view Nigerians the same way, and we can't all be wrong! Another thing, any country in the world can tolerate it's own bad apples but not external ones.
And Soweto can't possibly have illegal arms more than west Africa since the same Soweto is not even a violent place. Again, making up stories as we go Even in the west, almost all English speaking black Africans are often suspected to be Nigerian. Just recently a cameroonian was deported and dumped in nigeria.its also similar in SA. The envy u guys have for us makes u push the stereotype button against us instinctually against all common sense. There are more illegal arms in SA than the entire West Africa. |

Frankcallys: When Naija recorded our first case of covid19, South Africans were laughing at us and making jokes of how it will deal with us and our 200 million plus population.
Now they have 150 confirmed cases as of last night and 20 out of the 150 were locally transmitted. The Health Minister said last night that the number will pass 200 this morning. Now they gonna use almost R38million to build the fence instead of acquiring more beds and quarantine equipments.
The fence they are building, unknowingly they are helping Zimbabweans who have not recorded any case of covid19. We that live in Gauteng province (Johannesburg) are the hardest hit compared to other province. Worst case, the locals (South African blacks) are not taking this serious and it's going to backfire pretty soon.
Let me kuku go and search for Chloroquine sef, I don use to Chloro from my childhood in NAIJA. I know say e go scratch me die but prevention is better than cure. Before you know it now dem go begin say na we Nigerians carry am come South Africa.

IronGalaxy: he's clutching at straws this one. Nigerians are blamed for a lot of crimes in South Africa because let's be honest, they"ve earned that. There we go again, blaming others for crime your people are active participants. Are Nigerians solely responsible for drugs, high murder rates, arms proloferation, car jackings, robberies, govt corruption, rape etc in SA? The last I checked,SA is way ahead of Nigeria in all these indices- there are more illegal arms in Soweto alone than the entire west africa!! |

Nobody denied that HIV is our problem, I said remind me of the time when we blamed foreigners for the HIV, or where you making up stuff as you go? Accepting that HIV is an home grown problem is what I am talking about so u know where to look when dealing with. I am not making shit up.we all know Your people have a penchant for placing blames on others and believing foreigners are their problems as we have seen several times over |

TMKsouth: Clearly u can't differentiate between a border & a border-gate. U r indeed a slowpoke!!
The covad outbreak is gonna affect all countries, including Zimbabwe. SA building a fence is FORESIGHT. Something that has alluded your dumb country & government until only just yesterday when they finally decided to wake up to reality. Most borders have gates but u can't have in all borders and not all borders have walls. The only foresight u see with ur xenophobic mind is purely using this as an excuse to curb immigration from Zimbabwe,a country in same economic Bloc and region as you. Will u remove the wall after covid19 is contained? I agree that Nigerian government was a bit careless with this Virus but it's better late than never. That's the difference between me and you- I accept responsibility, you place blame all the time. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: SA To Build Fence On Zimbabwe Border 'To Stem Virus' by Bigleaf1006: 6:44am On Mar 20, 2020 |
IronGalaxy: Any move south Africa makes for the benefit for it's people is always met with the same boring " xenophobia " it's boring, annoying and hypocritical. Anyways south Africa's borders have been porous for a long time and any sane country would do well to strengthen. And btw can you please refer to me when South Africans blamed others for HiV or literacy because where I stand, you're just making stuff as you go. Borders are porous everywhere, even all mighty USA would tell u that. Most often than not immigrants aren't always the problem but systems and government always looking for excuses to cover their failures. At least Nigerians have learnt that since the "Ghana must go" hoax However if u agree that HIV and illiteracy is an homegrown problem in SA,then u are one of the reasonable few out there!! |

All countries are closing their borders in case u haven't noticed.
Your hate for sa is blinding u! Don't hate SA,love the girls and the weather and way more organized and developed than Nigeria.IDIOT!! Closing borders isn't same as building walls idiot. SA will blame everybody but themselves for their problems. HIV,armed robbery, drugs, gangs, unemployment, corruption, illiteracy etc This things happen every where no doubt but u don't find people pointing fingers at others as quickly as south Africans do |
