PoliticsRe: Who Exactly Was Ezeego And What Did He Do? by bigmo1(m): 12:04pm On Jun 20, 2013
Ezeego, aka King of Money. He was truly a legend in those days when growing up was fun. I remember we used to pass by his big electronics shop on allen avenue while driving 2 school. The story i heard about his death was that while he was traveling to his village 4 xmas in his convoy of exotic cars, one of the cars in the convoy broke down, he came down from his own car to find out what the problem was. He was knocked down by another ongoing vehicle. After his death, there was a court battle between his wife and family members over his properties. The wife eventually got married to her lawyer. I can remember he had 2 pretty daughters who were students of Vivian Fowler school.

Science/TechnologyNigeria Plans To Train Astronauts For Space Travel by bigmo1(op): 1:39pm On Jun 18, 2013
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the federal
government is to start the training of local astronauts for space travel by 2015. Minister of Science and Technology, Professor Ita Ewa, Monday announced the government's intentionto train astronauts for space travel while giving å report of the achievements of his ministry in the past two years, at a press conference in Abuja.
Ewa who said the ministry was waiting for President
Goodluck Jonathan to approve the training programme, added that the country would also
collaborate with the Chinese government for the
development of a space rocket.
Already, the minister said a launch site with a 20-
kilometre launch capability had been set up in Epe,
Lagos State, adding that 12 engineers from the
National Space Research and Development Agency
(NARSDA) are in China for training.
Speaking on the benefits to Nigeria from an
improved space programme, the minister explained
that once the president has approved the
programme, the country would start preparing the
launch of two more communication satellites.
According to him, the socio-economic benefits of
such deployment of satellites include; security
surveillance, flood management, environmental
surveillance for pest and diseases infested areas,
desertification and pollution, especially oil spillage in the Niger Delta.

Their wishes should be respected.

On rotimi issue, really? An ikwerre friend of mine told me so,now that you have refuted it,i would need to re ask.
Calling an Ikwere person Igbo disgust them so much. They are not in any way Igbo, so people should stop lumping them 2gether with biafrans.

Akson man: The dominant ruling elite in Rivers state are the Ikweres.

Ikweres are pure Igbo people but during the Biafran war they denied their 'Igboness' in order to enjoy some form of amnestry from the federal forces. The Asaba people tried the same but after they were massacred by Nigerian (Hausa) soldiers, they quickly re-embraced their Igbo heritage-which remains strong till this day.

Before the civil war Port Harcourt was considered an Igbo town, most Igbos from the hinterland built permanent structures in PH. During the war many hinterland Igbos abandoned their PH properties and the Ikweres took over. After the war the Ikweres and other Rivers indigenes refused to return properties belonging to hinterland Igbos.

This is why Rivers State is cursed, many core Igbos are still skeptical about investing and owning permanent structures in Rivers state. With all its oil wealth,Rivers only has one major city that has still remained relatively stagnant. Uyo of yesterday is already catching up. Calabar has surpassed it in terms of visitors. All Port Harcourt has is aging Oil infrastructures. sad
You are just a frustrated and demented baifran boi. Your case is pathetic to say d least. Did you fall of your mother's back when you were a baby?

PoliticsJune 12: Soyinka, Others Were Selfish – Keyamo by bigmo1(op): 9:44am On Jun 09, 2013
20 years after the June 12, 1993 presidential election
which produced the late Chief MKO Abiola as
president, Human Rights lawyer, Festus Keyamo, has
come down heavily on Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole
Soyinka, the late Gani Fawehinmi, the late Beko
Ransome-Kuti and a host of other activists involved in
the June 12, struggle, stating that their selfishness led
the country to its current messy state.
Keyamo, who stated this in an interview with an
online medium, noted that the failure of the activists
to take control of the political situation in the country
in 1999, at the inception of the country’s democracy,
as was the case in South Africa, where activists in the
anti-apartheid movement formed the African National
Congress, led to the emergence of undemocratic
elements in government.
“The June 12 was not managed at all in the post-1999
period. The people who were at the epicenter of June
12 struggle failed to seize power and abdicated their
roles for funny characters who came from absolutely
nowhere. That is why you can see all forms of
undemocratic forces in power today,” he said.
Keyamo stated that the June 12 activists had formed
splinter groups where “everybody wanted to project
his ego and himself,” ahead of the 1999 return to
democracy, noting that “our greatest problem were
the factions in the ranks of the progressives. Where
you had JACON, NADECO, the G34, all kind of groups,
there was no unity of purpose. The thing is that they
progressives were not prepared for power. This was
because our leaders in the progressives had their
individual agenda.
The lawyer berated the development in the country
whereby people, who had never been part of the
struggle for democracy, were the ones calling the
shots in the country today,, noting that Nigerians had
formed the view that activists could not run
government because of the abdication by those who
agitated during the June 12 days.

PoliticsRe: 10 Best Lines From Buhari’s Speech On Saturday by bigmo1(m): 7:10pm On May 12, 2013
@Bombay it was not only Akintola that sold out the progressives to the Fulanis of the 1st republic, Zik and his NCNC did likewise when they agreed to form a coalition with the NPC thereby becoming the junior partner in the government when they could have been the senior partner in a coalition govt with AG. That singular act altered the course of history of this country. If Zik was Prime minister and Awo was ceremonial president, the Jan 66 coup, the july counter coup, the annihilation of southerners in the North, the Biafran war and all other things that have set us 100 years backwards could have been avoided.

Ubenedictus: I wanted to keep quite and not expose you inability to understand but you leave me no choice. can you see the bolded? The gist was written before the election of pope francis yet your thread reads "new pope to abolish celebacy regulation".
How can they know what the new pope wants to do when at the time of d writting of the article there was no new pope?
Infact the article you call your source never said anything about a "new pope".
So where did you get your story?
My source comes straight from the papacy. I only referred you to that link just to let you know that the Subject of putting an end to celibacy has been an issue long before the former pope resigned. And it may interest you to know that it might be one of the major reasons why he eventually had to quit the papacy. Let's not argue to much about it. Only time will prove you or me wrong.

The first sentence from the article reads
"The Roman Catholic Church may be open to
discussing its long held requirement for priests to
lead a celibate life as it prepares for a new chapter
with the coming election of Pope Benedict XVI's
successor, some church leaders have said."
Which schools did you attend? Were you not taught comprehension and how to deduce answers to questions extracted from å passage? Or you want me to start spoon feeding u or breast milk you.
