He is a minority from the south and a democrat. Quiet and unassuming. That doesn't mean that he's a fool. Please my fellow Nigerians, I want to remind you that those qualities that made you vote for Jonathan in 2011, are still there. Bad and envious politicians are the ones trying to confuse the masses.

Jona is our son. If we support him, he will do well. If we choose to tear him down, shame on us. Give Jonathan a fair chance. He deserves that at least.

Go back to your history book. During the war TY Danjuma never commanded the 1 Division or any division. In May 1969 when there was change the headship of the divisions, 1 Division moved from Col. Shuwa to Col. Bissalla. 2 Division moved from Col. Haruna to Col. Jallo. 3 Division moved from Col. Adekunle to Col. Obasanjo.
The commander of any military formation is a General Officer Commanding (GOC), whether it a division, a brigade or a battalion.

"With the 3rd Marine Division's failed attempt to capture Umuahia during Operation OAU the Nigerian Col. Mohammed Shuwa decided to give it a try. Col. Shuwa put Lt. Col. Theophilus Danjumain charge of the 1st Division consisting of the 4th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, and 82nd battalions and began moving towards the Biafran capital."

Ask any military officer or better still military historians like Dr Omogui, Max Siollun and their likes, only commanders of Army divisions are know as General Officer cammanding (GOC) not Battalion commanders.

What do you know about the Nigerian Army? As at 1969 we had three divisions: 1 Division - Col. Muhammed Shuwa, 2 Division - Col. Ibrahim Haruna and 3 Marine Commando - Col. Benjamin Adekunle. On May 12, they were replaced. I know your confusion - 82 Division in Enugu.
Ibrahim Babangida as at this period was a Major and GOC of 82 Battalion. When he was shot, his assistant, Maj. Mamman Vatsa took over. Muhammadu Buhari was a Captain and GOC of 2 Battalion.

Sorry Mr, I am not trying to derail the thread. I know ibb was the commander of 82 battalion under TY Danjuma's 1st Division, but you do not use the title GOC for a battalion commander. GOC's command Division. By the way I am a military historian as much as you think are.

82nd division or battalion? Was IBB a general in 1969? He was not even a col then, so he could not be a GOC. Who is your history teacher?

We didn't expect to put on gold chains or bracelet. But I was expecting to see someone who looks well taken care of. But all I see is a woman looking like someone whose sister-inlaw (Shepopotamus) has prevented her husband from helping his own sister. If Jonathan was taken care of his extended family properly, I expected she would have been flown abroad for proper medical care. Don't forget his brother also died in Aso rock hospital. When shepopotamus was sick to d point of death, she was flown to Germany. Other food poisoning she was flown out of the country. If GEJ can't take good care of his extended family properly, how can he care for 180 million people he doesn't he give a damn about
