PoliticsRe: Fani-Kayode: Yorubas Won The Civil War For Nigeria by bigmo1(m): 3:53am On Aug 21, 2012
kettykin: it piques me how people will go about spreading lies allover the internet about who won the civil war when it is evidently clear for reports , literature, declassified information about who really did what and when .

For fools going about deceiving themselves and other gullible people about who won the war please read the excerpts below

http://insomniacanonymous./2012/07/01/shellbp-and-nigerias-war-over-biafra-1967-70/
Enough wepons to wipe out the east

In the first half of the following year, 1968, Britain approved the export of 15 million rounds of ammunition, 21,000 mortar bombs, 42,500 Howtizer rounds, 12 Oerlikon guns, 3 Bofors guns, 500 submachine guns, 12 Saladins with guns and spare parts, 30 Saracens and spare parts, 800 bayonets, 4,000 rifles and two other helicopters. At the same time Wilson was constantly reassuring Gowon of British support for a united Nigeria, saying in April 1968 that ‘I think we can fairly claim that we have not wavered in this support throughout the civil war’.

Other supplies agreed in November following meetings with the Nigerians included six Saladins and 20,000 rounds of ammunition for them, and stepped up monthly supplies of ammunition, amounting to a total of 15 million rounds additional to those already agreed. It was recognised by the Defence Minister that ‘the scale of the UK supply of small arms ammunition to Nigeria in recent months has been and will continue to be on a vast scale’. The recent deal meant that Britain was supplying 36 million rounds of ammunition in the last few months alone. Britain’s ‘willingness to supply very large quantities of ammunition’, Lord Shepherd noted, ‘meant drawing on the British army’s own supplies’.

By the end of 1968 Britain had sold Nigeria £9 million worth of arms, £6 million of which was spent on small arms. A quarter of Nigeria’s supplies (by value) had come from the Soviet Union, also taking advantage of the war for its own benefit and trying no doubt to secure an opening into Nigeria provided by this opportunity. British officials consistently justified their arms supply by saying that if they stopped, the Russians would fill the gap. It was Britain’s oil interests, however, that was the dominating factor in Whitehall planners’ reasoning.
That was the mistake Gowon made. He should have gone to the Americans to purchase Atomic bomb. The war would have finished in one day and these Igbo offsprings won't be here dragging this thread this long.
PoliticsBoko Haram Dialogue! Jonathan Observes Ramadan Fast- Converted To Muslim??? by bigmo1(op): 2:38am On Aug 21, 2012
If facts that emerged on Friday are true, then Federal Government of Nigeria is considering shifting it’s grounds and reached for ‘Boko Haram’s peace terms
(condition for peace)’. Boko Haram is the radical fundamentalist Islamic sect, which had masterminded bombings in the mainly Muslim North, especially against Christians, for more than three years now.
The Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku, had after the Federal Executive Council meeting last Wednesday, told journalists that government had accepted to hold talks with Boko Haram in the interest of peace.
Earlier demands of the Islamic sect had included release of their members being detained aπϑ prosecuted, and President Goodluck Jonathan’s conversion to Islam, payment of compensation or Diyya for their members they considered “killed unjustly” by security forces.
Has the president converted to a Muslim
alreadyhuh!!! He announced on national tv few days, saying that he, President Goodluck Jonathan, observed the just concluded Muslim Ramadan fast ‘in solidarity with his Muslim brothers.’
A source told the press that the Nigerian government might accede to the Diyya demand. “not too difficult conditions.” – Said a source in the Presidency. “Once
these conditions were met, they would cease fire”Another source added.
The Nigerian Government does not want to expose those behind the talks to avoid a previous experience, when the disclosure of the identities of the dialogue handlers frustrated the move.
“I can confirm to you that it is true that the group is currently dialoguing with the government.”
“The good news is that they are talking and they have promised to cease fire once some of their demands are met.”
“They have on their own, promised to cease fire aπϑ go after the ‘political Boko Haram’ once the demands
are met.” – The presidency source.

Jonathan is å bundle of badluck, since he emerged as president it has been one disaster and another. Boko Haram, plane crashes, flooding, ghastly road accidents, kidnappings, ocean surge, mass failure in WAEC and JAMB. He has also brought bad luck to Nigerian sports. Under Jonathan, super eagles could not qualify for ordinary Nations cup, U-17 and U-21 all failed to qualify for the last world cup,U-23 team and Almighty Falcons of Africa could not qualify for Olympics, Nigeria failed to win å single medal @ the Olympics. His name is Goodluck but he is an harbinger of badluck. To everyone on this forum who openly defends Jonathan may your offsprings be daft, retarded, clueless and shoeless and may u experience the disaster many innocent families have been experiencing.Amen!

There are so many one way roads in Somolu, Yaba, Akoka, Ebute Metta. You have to be extremely careful when driving around these areas because there is virtually no sign to tell you they are one way roads. The most amusing of these one way roads is the one along university of Lagos road. When you drive into university road from Herbert Macauly road approaching UNILAG, immediately you get to the street beside Atan cemetery, you must into this street by your right, take the next turning by the left, get to the end of the short street, turn left and get to the end then turn right to link back to university road on approaching UNILAG. A lot of drivers have been nabbed around this area by the police and also by council officials.

I was almost caught too when i drove into the the street beside NNPC towers, Ikoyi. There was no sign that it was a one way. I was quickly alerted by the Okada guys packed by the side entrance of the street. Immediately the LASTMA guys sighted me, they rushed towards me trying to apprehend me. Those bastards must have been hiding cos i didn't see them when i first turned into the street.
I did å quick reverse before they could get to me. I was left wondering why they didn't stay at that end of the the road to inform road users. They would rather wait for you to break the law and later arrest you.

year old Hammed Balogun. Eye-witnesses,

killed hammed, gave the police a clear account of
what really happened that Friday.
After the investigation yesterday, the police
officially dropped the murder charge and instead
arraigned her for driving recklessly.

Magistrate Court today to face a one-count charge
of driving recklessly. She was granted bail and
ordered to pay fine. The case was adjourned to
Sept 3rd.

Anyone who believes all the bullshit Fani Kayode has written must really be a fool. From where d hell did he get his information that 98% of the 3rd marine commando were yorubas?
Fani Kayode's father and Pa Awo were once political enemies and it seems Fani kayode wants to continue the battle where his father stopped hence giving false reasons as to why Awo served in Gowon's Govt. Fani is a pathetic hypocrite. The same Fani who strongly spoke against OBJ's govt, only ƒσя him to make U-turn and serve in d same Govt

Christianity EtcRe: Pastor Bakare Attacks Patience Jonathan by bigmo1(m): 10:46am On Aug 06, 2012
Kpac: Pastor and Politics
Because we've had a pastor so concerned about this country doesn't make him fake. Even in d bible, every of God's prophets were different from ea. ch other ånd if there's anyone that belives so much in diversity, its God himself.
A pastor is not a robot, as a matter of fact, they are referred to as shepherds.....If nothing bad happens to their sheep,if the grasses are green for their consumption, the water is clean for their cleaning, drugs are available for their treatments, every shepherd would be happy and when he stands and looks at his flock,he would be just so excited and fulfilled.....But when his sheeps are struggling and suffering, thou he maintains calm amongst them,he is ready to fight anything for the sake of his sheeps......
Every sunday morning, pastors are faced with so much difficulties their members are facing, some lost their lives due to bad roads, some are lying sick for months at the hospital due to poor health infrastructures, some had their shops demolished due to strict goverment measures, some had dropped out from school because the school fees have been increased by 150%,some have just lost their jobs, some are in critical condition just because they unsuspectedly took fake drugs obtained in a chemist, some are jobless for months, running into years, despite having a bachelor's degree, some came announing their intention to return back to the village because the house rent has toppled and some of the members have their life savings forced out of them as fines paid because they were caught passing one way,in a bid to avoid making his only car break down in an unpassable water logged very deep pit on his own normal lane..........
If you are a good shepherd and your sheep suffers any of these and still hears the president of your country spends about 40 Million naira daily on food, newspapers, diesel and drinks,I wonder how you would still be able to look into your sheep faces, open your bible and again preach to them hope, when its glaring the hardships are due to poor governance.
Even from the old testaments,God has always being actively involved in politics.
If your own pastor doesn't talk about politics at all and anotherr do,please do not criticize, they have their difference in their calling,in their nature and in their life phylosophies.
God Bless you in million folds

You are the biggest fool on nairaland. I was only correcting those throwing this failure at the doorstep of ACN, when we all know how much PDP has failed us in the last 8 years. And for your information i have seen schools more dilapidated than this in the eastern part of Nigeria. So this is not about a Yoruba man or Igbo man.

U must be an ignorant fool. PDP (Gbenga Daniels) ruled the state for 8 years. ACN (Amosun) only came into power last year and he has been doing a tremendous job. For once in your life, try and desist from deceiving the public just like ur boss in Abuja is doing.

PoliticsRe: Boko Haram: Fg Considers New Law On Explosives by bigmo1(m): 10:26pm On Mar 05, 2012
The Minister obviously is a layman. All explosives are chemical explosives. The explosives used in Nigeria for industrial purposes are mostly catridged explosives(ammonium nitrate-aluminium explosives or catridged emulsion explosives). These 2 types Are presently being produced in d country by d only 2 licensed manufacturers in the country today. The new form of explosives the Minister is referring to is know as Bulk Emulsion explosive. And this as a matter of fact is not a new form of technology. Bulk emulsion explosive is commonly used in Ghana for gold minning. The same company that manufactures bulk in Ghana also exports to Nigeria for sale to minning industries within d country. One of the licensed manufacturers of explosives in Nigeria also produces bulk emulsion and they ve been steadily supplying to certain cement manufacturers within d coountry. So partnering with a chinese firm to develop this technology is no big deal.
Banning the present form of explosives would be almost impossible cos the bulk emulsion explosive will still require this present form of explosives as boosters or primers. As a matter fact bulk emulsion eplosives is cheaper and it's safer to transport. they become active only when they have been charged into holes to be blasted, stemmed and primed and detonating cords connected to them.
However, the problem associated with this form explosive is topography of the minning site. The pump trucks carrying the bulk explosive may find it hard to navigate d topography of certain minning sites. Hence it would be hard to phase out the present form of explosives.

AdvertsIndustrial Explosives Manufacturing: 100% Instant Profit Guaranteed by bigmo1(op):
[b]Industrial Explosives manufacturing is a big business in Nigeria with a 100 % instant profit highly guaranteed. This explosives are mostly used in Quarries, Minning industry, cement industry, road contructions, Seismic studies and exploration (in the oil industry)

Presently only one company is involved in the manufacturing of explosives in Nigeria and controls over 80% of the commercial explosives market. The other companies are merely involved with importation of commercial explosives. These Explosives importer have a habitual problem of getting the products to their customers in time. This is mainly due to the time and cost of bringing these products into the country as well clearance at the port.

The major users of commercial explosives such as stone, gravel and sharp sand Quarries, Julius Berger, major cements companies and construction companies, oil companies, coal, tin and copper mining companies amongst many others consume at least an average of 450 million naira weekly in purchasing explosives which they use in their daily operations. Without this explosives these companies can not function at all. Explosives is central to their operations.

Water gel and Bulk Emulsion explosives are the major types of explosives used in these industries. Ammonium nitrate–fuel oil mixtures (ANFO) and Ammonium nitrate-base water gels, which together now account for at least 90 percent of the high explosives consumption in the world.

Water gels have many advantages. Among them are a high concentration of strength, a high degree of water resistance, plasticity that permits them to displace air or water and completely fill the borehole, economy, ease of handling and loading, and good safety characteristics.

They are also easy to produce and generate litte or no waste during production. The little waste generated can be easily recycled.

For any one interested in this line of business, we are ready to provide a full feasibility studies including Chemical formulations and compositions, with a least of all raw materials needed including where and how to source for them. We will also provide you with a list of potential customers amongst other things.

We are Explosives chemists highly trained by Americans and Chinese experts.
