@zuby77 Read on Amazon kindle ebooks too and createspace, a lot of Nairalanders are in diaspora and it would be expensive and a logistics nightmare getting the hard copies across globally. Properly formatted for kindle though, if you just create a cover and put the link here, or on the site you create that would create, you should sell loads more and eliminate the need fr keeping costly inventory, looking for a publisher, looking for salespeople, thinking of how to distribute around the world, etc |

Your site says you can only do 10 articles a week, at 450 each, your income is limited to just 18,000 a month. What other skills do you have? I need an article writer though. |
Jamji: Yes, thats true, but i dont have the capital to go into that. thanksAlright, I get you, what skills do you have? From your sig it seems you write articles? |
Naijacutee gave you the best idea, get your bottom of the internet and look for something you can make good margins on. 2 months is more than enough to turn 20k to more than 150k via re-investing profits. Online business is not easy as the internet marketers paint it, don't be deceived. |
Afam4eva: If most of the poor over there earn more than a lot of highly paid Nigerians then i wonder why the average ones in London who are better off than the poor ones are moving to Nigeria in drives. I know people that returned from London and are going from house to house begging like Niger people. There are even Nigerians sending money to their relatives in london so that they can survive for that day. The poverty in that country is mind bugging. There's no day that i don't put Nigerians in London in my prayers even the ones that curse me on this forum cos i understand that they're frustration is a reflection of the UK.You miss my point, Ive interacted with a lot of residents here, my statement meant, at times, those on benefits earn much more than those with full time jobs even here in the UK, Most Nigerians would rather work than go on benefits, a lot are illegal so cannot claim benefits, when you work the tax man (your lazy co-worker) and rents consume it fast. Crazy, interesting system. What I like though, is it is difficult for a legal resident to die of poverty. The govt really takes good care of them, if you're disabled, etc etc. Im half sleepy might be rambling but hope u get my drift |
Afam4eva: It's good to know that you're leaving the UK. A lot of people have left that cesspit and more will leave in due cause. The poverty in the UK is alarming.Though I dont intend settling here for anything, I think your point is invalid. I used to think like you till I stayed here for a while, there is poverty, but most of the poor earn more than some "well paid" people in Nigeria courtesy, benefits. The quality of life is better, there is much less stress, everything works, it makes your brain lazy in short. My family can stay and school here when I can afford it, but I feel fr a young person like me, there are a lot more opportunities for business in Nigeria, without taxes and bills swallowing your earnings. |
adaobi123: How is everyone coping with the heat at night ? I can't sleep.Open windows, buy a fan, sleep n*aked. |

It is expected, when Odili was giving scholarships, it was to Malaysia, India, Russia, Ukraine and the likes. Amaechi gives them to the top 20 schools in the US, UK and Canada. I guess the case against him is envy and a feeling of inadequacy. |
