I think Seun should have full administrator access to do it.

stagger: Guy, you have to change with the times.

Register your aunty with Payoneer so she gets their MasterCard. When she gets it, you can do a direct card to card transfer. She can then go to Zenith or GTB to cash the money with the Payoneer card from the ATM, though at an exchange rate that is N5 less than parallel market. But then, it is better than having to suffer this sort of embarrassment.

This is how I receive small dollar payments from my foreign clients. If you need to send plenty of money, get your aunty to open a domiciliary account.
If I have a master or visacard do you know how I can send money from it to someone else's card? I usuaally use GTFx for transfers out of Nigeria but the fees on small amounts are irritating.

Autos › Re: Share Your Experience On Nigerian used Cars You Have Bought From Nairaland. by bigx(m): 5:41pm On May 18, 2012
3ace: Even though I've also gone through those stories involving Alhaji and Damola, I'm still going to buy a car right here on Nairaland. Think about it, do you really think that you can't be deceived if you consider other means of purchase? I enjoy window shopping numerous cars from the comfort of my office and home. If I had to do that offline, that will be extremely stressful. I have this philosophy that there are only good people and bad people. No race or ethnic group is absolutely good and bad. In thesame vein, Nairaland dealers and private sellers are not absolutely bad. There are still some trustworthy ones amongst them.(for your information, I'm not a dealer)

Please, I'm not saying you should compulsorily buy from Nairaland but wherever you choose to buy from, make sure you go with a reliable and competent mechanic at least. You can also equip yourself with what to look out for when buying a used car or tokunbo. Above all, shine ya eyessssss....My candid opinion.
Seconded

gulfer: I have seen one (1) No in the poll, can the person give a reason why he or she objected? huh huh Also, why is the polling going to continue till August 15th? Even sport, football especially has sub-forums. I wonder why the mods should continue to ignore this call. The sole objective of knowledge transfer is and should be enough for this sub-forum creation. Once again, i repeat that NL forum will be better for it.
I set it for 90 days when creating the thread and couldn't edit the poll to make the time frame shorter. Sorry.

VolvoS60: Sugeestions like the OP's (to improve the auto section) have been made before. SEVERAL TIMES. I made one myself a long time ago, but naught's been done. Its a shame because there's so much that this board could do for car owners/users wrt troubleshooting, maintenance, etc. So much. Instead, we are swamped with ads every second, every minute, every hour. Too bad.
Glad I'm not alone

Autos › Re: The Need For A Separate Auto Enthusiasts Forum by bigx(op): 7:47am On May 18, 2012
Imanuelle: I don't agree wit d OP on dis one..
Just like phone/internet and technology market..
D new section will still be flooded with sellers and their ads..
Whatever can be done, will be done on the mother section 'autos'
That's where moderation comes in, ads should be strictly forbidden on that forum and forum mods should block any ads immediately, that's working in one of the sub-forums here (forgotten which exactly) and I believe it would work with Autos too.

gulfer: There is a certain joy in sharing knowledge which a thread such as being requested affords as it will enable quicker solutions and pooling of idea for every type of auto maintenance challenges facing forum members and the general public. If this is done, I can assure Seun that traffic will grow exponentially to the site.
I started visiting foreign car forums in the last few months and I'm overwhelmed at the amount of knowledge gained from them (I enjoy dazzling mechanics nowadays grin ), If we can have a place where we have Nigerian specific solutions to issues (like prices of parts at Ladipo rather than ebay) and discussions on the kinds of cars suitable for the Nigerian Environment, it would be a clean coup against competing forums.

Ibadiarann: I wonder how you made your money, If not why would you spend N2m on something you did not inspect. Am surprised. If you had worked for the money, you may not have spent it that way. You deserve it. Good for you.
That's not the issue here. There is an element in Business called trust and no businessman would grow to any enviable heights being overly suspicious of everything.
