Am sure that guy would never want to be captured alive! he will definitely be killed in a gun fight or Air strike soonest!

Which i think should be the best option, just like US did to Osama bin laden......long detention and trial while keeping alive is nonsense......and he might even be granted pardon later on, when those senseless northern elders start demanding rubbish and in other to curry political support from that region GEJ might oblige them

So they should waste the modafuckker now and close his chapter and troubles for life
PoliticsGwoza Operation Unsuccessful, But Shekau Sighted by billante(op):
Military sources have revealed that the highly specialised operation by the Joint Task Force (JTF) to hunt down the leader of the Boko Haram Islamic sect, Sheikh Abubakar Shekau, believed to be holed up in Gwoza hills in Borno State was unsuccessful as a result of the difficult terrain.

The operation, which took place last month, however, claimed the life of Major A.T. Fambiya on June 26, 2013. Fambiya was one the two officers and 13 soldiers recently given national burial at the military cemetery in Abuja.

A military source told THISDAY that Fambiya was co-opted into the operation because of his knowledge of the area, having hailed from Gwoza town.

"However, like the Tora Bora mountainous caves in Afghanistan where Osama Bin Laden hid before he later escaped from the US onslaught; the operation to capture Shekau was not successful because of the bad terrain", the source said.

The source declined to give details, saying that would be exposing "high security issues," adding, however, that the area around Gwoza hills was dotted with lots of caves.

"I want to tell you that there is a massive deployment of troops in that area but we did not succeed because you know there are lots of caves. I just know that, as at this moment, I don't see him still being confined there".

However, another military source said Shekau might have been confined to a location where the military are in constant knowledge of his movement and that efforts are in top gear to capture him in spite of the failure of last month’s operation.

The source said the Boko Haram leader is being figured out by the military and that his days are numbered as they are ever determined to finish the job despite the difficult environment around him.

"Yes we can confirm that the goon is cornered and his days as a terrorist are certainly numbered. It’s not going to be easy though because Gwoza hill is a very long stretch of hilly terrain but the good thing is that the troops have an idea of exactly how to go about finishing the job," the source added.

The Director of Defence Information (DDI), Brig-Gen. Chris Olukolade, while responding to THISDAY enquiries on the issue last night refused to talk on the matter but said reports of the JTF operations would be made available as and when due.

Olukolade warned journalists against reporting on operational issues that could jeopardise the military and security strategies, citing a report in one of the national dailies as an example.
He vowed that the military would pursue the terrorists with vigour until they are captured, killed or forced to surrender unconditionally according to the mandate of the emergency rule proclamation.

He said: "All I can say at the moment is that the mandate given to the security forces to hunt down all terrorists or insurgents is being pursued with all necessary vigour and sense of duty and responsibility.

"Every vital breakthrough recorded in the process will continue to be duly communicated to Nigerians as and when appropriate.

"There is no need to engage in speculation that could jeopardise the integrity of ongoing operations or mislead our citizens please."

The military had waved off claims by the Presidential Committee on Amnesty that it had reached ceasefire agreement with the Boko Haram, and had instead vowed to crush the insurgents.

According to one of the military sources, "the main target now is to take out Shekau, and that is a matter of time now".

asha 80: the onitsha port is not yet functional.
Not functional doesn't mean not completed!

The port is just waiting for a concessionaire to be appointed to run the port efficiently,Heard it will happen before end of the year cause they are waiting for bida and oguta port to be completed so all of them will be concessionaired together.

GEJ as smart as he is knows if govt runs the port it will be as inefficient as Apapa port was before the likes of AP Moller and co took over and started running the ports to efficient and profitable level.

it is your likes that will ask how it is GEJ that brought stable power when the private owners take over PHCN and start providing the much needed power...

Quit hating and appreciate good thing...

ujchief: Dude, did your post above in any way contradict the fact that the presidency has no plans of either building new fertilizer factory or reviving the moribund one? Thank God for the few private individuals that still has the interest of this country at heart by making plans to build factories. If left for the FG, we will keep importing and importing; even toothpicks.

You would expect a country of over 160mil people to have more than 6 functional fertilizer plants and not rely totally on private firms to build them.

#team a-rs-e-lickers#
You just exposed your lack of common sense by the bold statements!

Common sense will tell you that a private sector led economy is more efficient than a Govt lead economy.....you expect government to start building factories that have willing private investors and who are in the best position to run them in this millennium and you say GEJ is clueless huh

Fool, so its ghosts that gave indorama, notore, dangote etc good investment conditions that facilitated their huge investments in nigeria......so you are expecting government to start building fertilizer plants in this millennium? you must be a dullard

GEJ just came back from china with lots of massive MOUs signed and when those investments and industries start springing up you will say its your forefathers that made it happen and not GEJ! SMH

ujchief: I can see how myopic you guys now are! You are praising the scheme that subsidizes fertilizerhuh Seriouslyhuh Are you kidding me? We have abundance of potassium, phosphorus and sodium in this country yet we don't have a single fertilizer plant that can manufacture fertilizer. Onne fertilizer plant at Federal ocean terminal, Onne, Rivers state has shut down for over decades now and can't be revived! Do you know how many youths a fertilizer company can employ? From the mining of the raw material, to processing, to production, to storage, to marketing etc; do you have any idea how many people can be employed both directly and indirectly from a single fertilizer plant?

They import and subsidize it for you and you're here licking their a-r-s-e!!! Poor lads with impoverished brain cells!
Notore plc has revived onne fertilizer plant and are producing,http://www.notore.com/index.php/about

indorama are building one of the biggest fertilzer plant at eleme petrochemical complex, dangote is also building Africa biggest urea/fertilizer plant in edo to start production 2015

Abagworo: I share your view. Whatever made him start awarding contracts indiscriminately in his 8th year is unthinkable. Maybe to compound problems for the in-coming Governor. The 8th year should be a year of massive commissioning of completed projects and positive retrospect of the previous years.
All the projects he is awarding are short term projects that will be completed before his tenure finishes....even if there are delays in completing the projects, which cant be ruled out cause of different unforeseen circumstances, the incoming gov wont hav problem in completing them because they have been fully funded.......one thing with peter obi is that he awards contracts when the money has already been put down/Saved.... unlike others that award project and now start looking for money to execute it.......i think that's why it seemed he has been sleeping all the while and just woke up,
He hasn't been sleeping, but actually saving money all those while in other to initiate a contract bazaar!

In Conclusion Peter Obi has Laid the foundation of the house called anambra, incoming Gov should now put up skyscrapers on it....he/she has no reason whatsoever to deliver little or half measure....we should demand nothing less,

My Fear is that bunch of candidates spring up for the upcoming election are still not heartwarming....except one or two, it is still the mediocre class, the likes of andy uba, ifeanyi uba, ekwunife nicolas ukachukwu etc wont take us there, even ngige cause judging from his performance in the senate where he has not initiated one single bill or made any serious impact,we should be worried, Nobody is even sure if soludo is going to contest.

just Hope a better tested high class thinker candidate springs up before the election gets underway.

He should just not bother building the so called stadium,if he is not ready to put good money and build a standard stadium he should save the money and put in it other project....what kind of yeye stadium can 500 million naira build!? what he wants to build is just a playground like the ones he built in onitsha.

Like i said if he is not comfortably in putting down good money in building a standard stadium as he also wasn't ready in putting down money for the airport project.....he shouldn't bother and should just leave it for the next governor that is taking over from him, instead of giving awka a playground in the name of a stadium.

150,000 pre-paid meters per month will go a long way in reducing the waiting list of people that wants to install the meters!
Just wish they can hasten the power sector privatization process and run the sector as a modern entity......I don't see reason why an electricity worker should be carry ladder to cut electricity supply to a debtor customer in 21st century or why i cant recharge my meter in the middle of the night!
PoliticsTwo Firms Begins Pre-paid Meter Supply,Expect 20hrs Light-Eko Disco by billante(op):
To ensure that electricity consumers are adequately metered in the country, two indigenous firms, MOMAS System Nigeria Ltd, and MOJEC International, have thrown their weight behind the Credited Advance Payment Implementation, CAPMI Scheme, in collaboration with the Eko Electricity Distribution Company.
The scheme was officially launched by the Eko DISCO of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, last week in Lagos.
The company said it agreed to partner with the indigenous firms after many months of consultation with the Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, and other relevant stakeholders in the power sector.
The Managing Director, MOMAS, Mr. Kola Balogun, said: “CAPMI has come to stay, we will make it work and it is a way to relieve consumers from the constant ‘crazy bill’ and estimated billing, but as a manufacturing company our aim is to key into the policy of the scheme.
“We can assure you that as soon as any consumer pays, meter will be made available within the shortest time frame, between 24 or 48 hours.
He said that MOMAS has the capacity to produce 50,000 meters monthly, adding that the company will meet any requirement within that range.
The Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of MOJEC International, Ms. Chantelle Abdul, explained that the company is introducing smart metering technology into the country.
According to her, the smart metering allows electricity consumers to manage their consumption and the amount to be paid.
She said: “With smart metering, you can manage your electricity consumption and know exactly what your bill should be. It also affords you the opportunity to load your meter with your phone or the internet without going to any of the PHCN offices.
“We have the capacity to produce 100,000 meters per month and we are ready to deliver these meters to consumers within the shortest time frame. Partnering with Eko DISCO is something we are proud of because they are the first DISCO to launch the CAPMI scheme in the country.” Mr. Ibrahim Juibril was the first electricity consumer in Nigeria to have the CAPMI pre-paid meter, which is installed at his 35A Bourdilon Road residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.
According to him, the CAPMI scheme is transparent and efficient, adding that PHCN officials in Eko DISCO simplified the process for their customers.
The new metering scheme allows consumers to pay for the meters and get refunds for payments after its installation through monthly reductions on the fixed charge element of their electricity bills to the tune of the meter cost.
The NERC chairman, Dr. Sam Amadi, had earlier announced that customers would be charged an estimated N25, 000 for single phase meters and up to N50,000, for three phase meters while smart meters will come with other costs.
20-hour power delivery
In the spirit of the moment, the Eko DISCO also promised to deliver at least 20 hours power supply by December, which will be increased to 22 hours in January, 2014.
The Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Oladele Amoda, who made this known at the fourth edition of the company’s Customer Parliament, said efforts are ongoing to ensure that customers within the network are served better.
He said: “Customers normally expect that when they get to their houses, there should be power supply and we are ready to provide these services. We are working to give our customers 20 hours of electricity every day on the average by December, and 22 hours by January next year.

From the beginning of d report it is clear where they are going.....and that is do not find anything good!

When critics says GEJ administration has not done one single commendable project, I immediately ignore and take them unserious, cause mathematically or rationally it is not even possible!

In this report they said GEJ establishing 12 new universities is just political maneuver! Haba!
This are the same people that will complain why there are large number of nigerians not securing higher institution admission every year!

Even with the internationally acclaimed success and positive news we hear about the agricultural sector this alleged report still labeled it a monumental failure....and you tell me this people analyze with conscience!

My kind advice to GEJ is to keep working his genuine intention for nigeria ignore all criticism he hears but pretend he hears them!

Because if he thinks he can fully please some of these opposition/critics then we should be reading his obituary before long.
