If you keep a very good maintenance habit, you won't have anything to worry about. Just go along with a good auto tech for inspection. If you don't have one, I'm very much available.

I have some issues with my RX 300 last month. Whenever I'm driving and the engine becomes hot, I do hear a sound like a ticking sound which makes it difficult to move.The temperature is a little bit above average. I ran a diagnosis and I was told to replace the two knock sensor and two 02 sensors. He said each sensors cost 7.5k each (30k). Last week a friend heard the sound and told me he had a similar issue with his Lexus too. His mechanic told me its a faulty thermostat and it has to be removed and connected the two fans directly, so it can start cooling the engine whenever I start the car. The car is working fine now, no more sound, moves very well and the temperature is back to normal.

From all that has been said earlier it seems the vehicle has been kazzimized, fan connected direct and thermostat bypassed, and it's unable to enter close loop, I'm very sure the fuel consumption would be high, but still remote diagnosis is still not very the best to find the fault,

The bumper is even different.
Maybe it is difficult in telling the model of this car because lots of body parts have been tampered with.
Apparently the op changed the grill,steering wheel too and bumper.
This tells us that the airbag has deployed meaning accidented.
How do I know?Body parts don't tally with each other.ie different model body parts on the same car.
This particular car is C300 sport judging from the rims,centre dashboard screen,lack of bonnet emblem,etc..
But his steering wheel is the luxury steering wheel meaning he changed it due to deployed airbag.
His grill is not the follow come sport grill because it has been changed due to accident.
The bumper too is luxury version meaning the original sports bumper was changed due to accident.
Don't be annoyed about the year mix up,maybe it's because of the uncordination of body parts all found in one car due to the fact that they've been tampered with that makes it hard to tell its model year and age.

Boss, if it's a 2zr fe engine is it ok to use 5w-30 too even though the recommended one is 5w-20

Its not about poor people. Most people dnt count Audi as cars and won't even know what is in ur hood or how much it cost. You can say the same about Toyota products which can easily be guessed talking of the price.


and about the pocket, i have resolved to getting a very high tech Car scanner so once I see any issue surface, I scan and know xup. That way I can know what am spending on not some guess work and blind believing.

It's important to note that scanning the car does not tell you exactly what the problem is it just give you a clue of what's wrong with your car, proper diagnosis is the only way of finding faults and repairing it. I'm an auto tech and I can help fix your car back to manufacturer's spec

Just do what you love bro, anything that gives you joy no matter the kind of challenges you face while doing it. I'm an auto technician specialize in troubleshooting of problems in powertrain management and electrical system. If I get a vehicle that has been going from one workshop to another without getting remedy, I'm always happy to repair that kinda of car, because it gives me a special kinda of joy if I'm able to fix it.

Alihamdulilahi, for where I'm today, it's not been easy 2 years down the line, just keep getting information as much as possible and don't mince money when getting equipment and try to get service manuals and wiring diagrams and you need to continuously keep upgrading your tools and equipments.

Sure you can just to retrieve codes, but they are usually not that effective

I changed the Shift solenoid of my Transmission but the car is not shifting after 80Km/h, it just disengages it and starts revving.

Then the D light starts blinking and at that stage I get a smooth drive with smooth shifting. Although sometimes i notice I lose power at some point.

What could be the issue??

i have never heard of a generator with turbo btw. for what reason would a generator have turbocharger?

Diesel engine needs them to work, generator of that capacity uses diesel engine.
