Pls can you be more specific with what you said is wrong with it, direct connections, what kind of direct connection, I'm sure your car will be equipped with an immobiliser, that won't make your car start without the key near the key cylinder. So I need in depth details, or better still, we can make an appointment to diagnose your car. |

halima83: sheikh you said a good auto electrician does not need to specialise on a particular brand Madam, I don't know if your car is a push to start system or mechanical key, I only need those information so as to know where to start from, each car brand has a way in which there ignition system is designed, though they have they have the same working principles. I have fixed BMW, BENZ, Japanese vehicles and Fords i can tell you they have a completely different systems, but the same working principles. I just need those infos to know where and how to start diagnosing your vehicle. |

Bro, you can go with any car just avoid the ones that will draw attention to you. It all depends on your auto tech. I'm also a student like you, and I fix cars, which ever option you make, I can handle any kinda repair or fix back to manufacturer specs at very affordable rates because I got what it takes. |

Car Talk › Re: Ask your Mechanic ! ! ! Thread by Billiebaba(m): 10:58pm On May 23, 2020 |
Macmilla: Good day boss. I have this 2006 Honda accord v6 (discussion continues). It has a couple of problems and I need help with it.
1. Car seems to loose power. It drives like a weak old 4cyl engine. Some times the throttle will need to be pressed all the way down before the gearbox kicks down. No, the gearbox doesn't slip, it changes smoothly. No check engine light. Air filter has been cleaned.
2. When started in the morning, it sounds like it had a leak in the exhaust, but sound normalises as the car warms up. You barely notice the bad sound when fully hot (not completely gone). Car had a bad exhaust gasket, which was fixed. All attempt to find another leak proved abortive. One of the three catalysts is missing in the pot, though pot remains intact (don't ask me how), but the remaining 2 are in very good shape. I don't think the missing catalytic converter is the cause cos catalytic converter is only responsible for emissions, but I might be wrong.
3. The car fails to crank sometimes when the ignition is turned. I just get a click from the engine. I have to return key to 0 and then try again. Sometimes it cranks on the 2nd or 3rd attempt. I was told it was the ignition switch on the steering column because it makes some tiny sparking sound if the key is turned slowly to start. I've replaced the ignition switch, sparking sound is gone, but sometimes it still doesn't start. Could it be the starter packing up?
Any advice will be highly appreciated. Go for a scan |

buygala: Transmission coolant?
Never knew Hondas have transmission coolants separate from the engine coolant Apologies for not being specific, I was referring to the transmission oil. It serves as the lubricant, power transmission within the gearbox, and as coolant. |

psalmz: was thinking it’s a brushing issue Hmmm, what's brushing. Check your transmission coolant level and conditions too And what I meant by cooling issueis, your gearbox might be overheating. |
Car Talk › Re: I Need Advice On My Honda Accord 04 Gearbox by Billiebaba(m): 9:10pm On May 22, 2020 |
I feel it's a cooling issue, use a scan tool to check live data for the transmission box temperature. |

Blackbishop: The likely cause is a damaged Cylinder head I would like a logical explanation to your thoughts. He said the plug on that cylinder is not working, I'm bending towards the circuit of that coil on that cylinder, power, ground and signal to that coil. |

kellystech: just change the engine, had similar problems with my Honda accord ended up changing d engine Oga how can you just change engine when the engine did not knock, or crack. OP pls look for some one that can work with live data, to fix your car, it might actually be a wiring problem, power, ground, or signal line to the sensor might be open or short. If you need one you can hit me up, |
Car Talk › Re: Nissan Xtrail 2.5 XL Does Not Start by Billiebaba(m): 4:10am On May 10, 2020 |
Oga, you and your mechanic did not diagnose before you start swapping out parts, have you checked for fuel, have you checked for spark have you checked for compression, have you checked if the nozzles are been actuated. Alot of things can disable your ignition system. Go and scan your vehicle and perform basic diagnostics before you start throwing parts, you problem might even be a blown out fuse sef. |

tensazangetsu20: Count your losses and move on except you want to fix the car yourself. If you want to do this, get an autel maxisys, all data repair manual, some tools and scanner danner engine performance diagnostics. Make sure both your electrician and mechanic are totally present while you guide them on what to do. Or better still change your mechanic and rewire, they are chopping hot hot, or just count am and cut it away |
