My bmw is showing pressure system light.. my mechanic had complained of the removal of catalyst from the car when in actual fact I didn't give it to anyone to work on after I bought it second hand ...it is 2009 model 320i ..please what can I do because I don't trust the judgement of mechanic. Have you scanned the car, take the car for a scan and retrieve some fault codes first, don't touch anything in the car without scanning it.

It all depends on what you want boss. Just go with a good mechanic to ensure it's free of problem and you're not buying lemon

Is the check engine light on. In Nissan's case, it's "Service engine soon". If not, the PCM is down. I'm afraid helping remotely might not yield any results, if your tech does not have some basic understanding of electrical and electronics. Nevertheless, have them check power and grounds to the PCM, network lines. If all of that has been check and found nothing yet. Other solutions I have will be very difficult to proffer, as I will have to display with pictures or video of how and ways to do it.

It's funny how people always shout get your car scanned here. Forgetting that it's not all issues that can be detected by scanners and not all scanners can detect all issues!
If you want to buy a scanner that will detect almost all issues in cars, you will be ready to cough out nothing less than 600k (at least cuz I've seen 2million naira scanner before) and most of our mechanics and rewires don't have that kind of money so they resolve to buying the low budget ones that won't even detect most of the issues that most cars have.
You see that expensive scanner I mentioned up there? I can count the number of mechanics that have them in Nigeria.

So, let me ask what do you suggest he does first To throw parts until he solves the problem

I have a Toyota Corolla 07 which starts after two or three attempts only in the morning. it doesn't do that once it's warmed. Obviously it is not battery, because the car will eventually start.
Please any advice before I contact a Car Electrician or Mechanic?

Boss, I'm suspecting a fuel pressure issue, the fuel system does not hold pressure for a long time, so you have to prime the system every morning, reason it take 2 to 3 attempts. This is just my hypothesis. You'll still need to diagnose the system to be sure.

Remote diagnosis not possible, it will have to be properly diagnosed in a workshop to find the problem, no matter the number of parts you throw at the car it won't solve the issue

A friend x5 e53 engine was damaged by overheating today. Engine has refused to start. The mechanic said the head gasket maybe bad and or a warped head cylinder. Please what can he do? Change the gasket and get a new head?? Please advice as I'm skeptical about getting another tokunbo engine that one is not sure of its condition.

Alot of damages can be done by overheating, if it has gotten to the extent of the engine not starting. It's definitely an head gasket issue, if it has been resolved, the primary problem must be solved as well.
You see engine rebuild of those kind of engine is quite complex than you think, all these ones we do in Nigeria is just assembling engine, and if it's done it's a 50:50 chance, best is to buy another engine.

I have the same problem on my 2007 E60.
The thing to do is either I park, switch off the phone for 5mins and start again or I clear the fault with a scanner. The cause of the problem isn't known till now, I've replace the complete transmission due to this but the problem still persists.
I'll be glad if the solution to this problem can be shared.

Boss you see problem like this can not be solved remotely, if you can bring it over, I can assure you I will find solution to your car problem.

Good day everyone. I have a 2009 BMW 750Li. Whenever I am driving after 10mins the gear will no longer shift. It get stuck in gear one and shows transmission error. A scan also show the same thing. Please I need help. I need to know if something else is the problem.before I attempt to replace the expensive gearbox.

Take it for a scan, or you can bring it over to my workshop for a free scan. Don't throw any parts oooo, it proper diagnostics that can solve your problem.

ML350, it has a more Reliable engine, I've worked on both of them before, I can boldly tell you 272 engine in the Mercedes is very reliable. It's more powerful and fun to drive. Just ensure you get a good mechanic to help you inspect the car thoroughly before purchase.
