There is no suggestion that the deaths are linked.

This attack is akin to so many murderous attacks on churches and Christians in the north and reminds me of the statement by Pastor Martin Niemoller who unequivocally said, "First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out...because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out...because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out...because I was not a Jew. And then when they came for me, there was no one left to speak for me." I hope this incident serves as a lesson albeit a bitter one that you need to speak out against injustice and unfair treatment no matter whom it's against or who is the perpetrator. Hamas does not represent all Palestinians. Palestinians in the West Bank (who outnumber Gaza residents) are ruled by the Palestinian Authority and Israel would not make a deal with them. Instead, they continue to develop Israeli settlements on Palestinian territory. The Palestinians are also on ancestral land. Gaza is thousands of years old and has never been a Jewish city. Palestinians have lived in these lands for centuries - some millennia. The vast majority of Jews in modern day Israel are 1st or 2nd generation immigrants from Europe and the Middle East. It seems crazy to suggest Palestinians should leave their homes for German and Russian and Polish and Hungarian Jewish migrants.
