tot: But there are so MANY people looking for work in Nigeria. People that are able to and want to work but there is just no work. I know there are lots of cultural differences in other countries but at least you are able to earn if you want to. I mean those who re working. Not referring to the unemployed. Again you can make money anyhow in Nigeria like those road sellers, and those undocumented jobs which are not taxed but here you don’t have such. Which ever job you do you can’t evade tax cuz if you do and you re caught you re sorry |

DexterousOne: Kenya and Rwanda are small countries With the connections and foreign education They can get jobs that will pay them well.
That does not change the fact that poverty is very rampant there, especially Kenya.
And there are Kenyans in America that will never relocate back to Kenya
Like those four Kenyans with a multi million trucking business in TX Different strokes did different folks Yea I get your point, check the ratio of Kenyans who want to go back and Nigerians who want to go back you will see the difference. Going back means the countries are beginning to get back in line but ask Nigerians when they re going back they will see you as one of their village people. |

US, Japan and some of the these big western nations have some the highest debt to GDP ratios and they are still borrowing more. We should be well informed before we make comments here See them bringing out their heads.... when those guys borrow you see what they use it for, the being borrowed what have we been using it for? What is the essence of borrowing? As you compare our debt profile with those guys can you also compare the developmental strides? |

Nigerians can only rant online, when the policies re being made you see them shouting fire and brimstone, shouting how they will shut down Nigeria if implemented but the moment it’s being implemented you will see their coward nature and start looking for a way out of the crisis. I only feel for the brave Nigerians who re just about 3% of the entire population |

Both..... it’s easier to work and earn in Nigeria because even if you don’t go to work sometimes in Nigeria you still get paid, breaks and off re paid in Nigeria, you can gist around during work hours in Nigeria but Canada? No, especially when you re being paid in hours, lunch breaks re not paid, even using ur phone during work hours is a 90% no. But in Nigeria everything works |

salford1: That's when you bite more than you can chew which is rampant among Nigerians especially in North America in a bid to impress their friends, family, church members etc. Most Oyinbo will save for years to buy a house with 20% and above - This gives a better interest rate, lesser amount borrowed, and helps to avoid the 4% bank insurance on the amount borrowed. (In Canada). Oyinbo would also often go for a house they can easily afford to pay without breaking a sweat, but our Nigerian people will buy the biggest house at 5% down payment and begin to work like a slave to keep up. Any little wahala, the house is gone.
Nothing wrong with mortgage aslong as you cut your coat to size. Make sense.... you see them working two jobs and they even hardly sleep in the house they re paying property tax and mortgage on |
Properties › Re: Dr. Harvey Olufunm Buys House 3 Years After Migrating To UK - See How He Did It! by bilulu(m): 3:11pm On Nov 25, 2019 |
cococandy: Stop paying rent in Canada. You will waste so much money that way.
If you can afford the down payment , buy a house. Sell it when you don’t feel like owning it anymore. Get your down payment back. if the house has appreciated since you bought it, you get the profit too. Some people put $50,000 down payment on a house when they buy and sell it in about 4 years, walking away with $80,000 to $120,000 after selling. Houses appreciated so much last year from the Seattle areas to the subs and even to Vancouver (dunno which part of Canada you’re in) people were cashing out bigly.
And your monthly mortgage would have been lower than the rent equivalent of that home. Renting a four bedroom will you at least $500 more every month compared to if you’re paying mortgage.
We Nigerians often think that if you don’t own something 100% then there’s not point. Very not true.
I don’t want to go in personal details before some dubious imps on NL will start claiming to know me but seriously ditch the mindset and save/make money. Nice one bro but I don’t really know if you can sell off a house you got on mortgage. If you live close to those on mortgage you will realize it is easier to pay rent than get a mortgage. |

MelesZenawi: The Muslims said the creation of the Shari’ah Courts in the six states of the region became necessary in order to cater for the yearnings of Muslims who are in the majority. And financing it with religious proceeds or tax payers (both christians and muslims) money?
That's great.........This is a welcome development and needs to be supported.
One thing is certain if you practice any religion, do that in full and follow the tenets and teachings of such religion.
So setting up sharia court in SW is a good thing as it will help protect the religious norms and practices in accordance with Islam.
And more importantly they are in the majority. |

Majority see nothing wrong in importing rice, toothpicks etc. at cheaper prices from other countries because they can afford it, which is very wrong. All things being equal, we should be self-sufficient by now in rice production and even supply other West African countries to generate revenue. The border closure in a way will send message to those countries dumping their goods in Nigeria.
Nigeria will be great again. Bro’s everything is wrong with importation but one thing is what re the measures in place to tackle all dat? Is the border closure yielding results? Why re borders closed in the south but opened in the north |

In 2003, they declared that PDP won Bonny Island with 100% of the votes there. In 2007, they repeated this nonsense in a PU Nassarawa where they claimed they won 100% of 800 votes in 3 hours of voting. I know people will surely pull history to defend it.... does it mean you guys don’t want the country to grow of this fraud? Must we keep repeating an error from the past and keep referring to it? I pray the move succeeds so when you put out any of those utterly sacrilegious posts condemning an entire people or religion just for the sake of politics, you'd be called to account and possibly dealt with to the full extent of the law.
