This is how I want you to think of it, because it helped me attain closure for my loss:
Irrespective of the way your loved one died, prolonged or instant, painful or painless, in your presence or absence, just think about them being in a better place (HEAVEN). DO NOT dwell on how they died, or how it could have been avoided. They are now better off than they could ever be here on earth.
