I asked why should the buck stop with you and you said because you are the head of the home. When you say the buck stops with you, you have also said that you are the head because they mean the same thing. The question I was asking is; why should it be so? Why should you be head? What logical justifications do you have for believing that you deserve headship?


I fail to see how these two sentences follow each other. So because the female follows the father as an authority figure before marriage that means she must follow her husband as an authority figure after marriage? What if her husband is not a good authority figure as she is? What if she is more intelligent than he is? What if she is more worldly wise?
People just read religious books and decide to follow the laws in them without thinking of how much sense those laws make . The problem with religious laws is that they are too black and white.
For the women, once you get married then you have to submit to your husband under every imaginable scenario, it must always be like that, there can't be any exceptions.
For the men once you get married then you must love your wife. Even if she turns out to be a lazy, no-good, lying trouble maker. Love her, like christ loved the church.

thanks @bebe2, @steve_cantrell and @biolabee; yeah, there's a construction going on behind my house (although, on the opposite side of the house where the scorpion was found). and yeah, i should have taken the photo... but i'm certain, it's a scorpion. i know what a scorpion looks like... I dey kill scorpion wella back in school.

That aside, after I made this post I still went ahead and did some further research online. Found out that scorpion sightings aren't particularly a strange occurrence in Lagos. Most, especially the tiny species; which easily arrive the city along with fruits and foodstuff from the rural areas. Hiding in yam tubers is very common. They are HIGHLY attracted to water; they love damp and warm places. This is why they are often found in bathrooms.

Scorpions do not have eggs, they give live-birth to as many as 32 young and mom carries them on her back till they are old enough to fend for themselves. So this was no more a baby scorpion @biolabee.

Good news; only about 25 out of almost 2000 species are known to have venom capable of killing a human being
Bad news; I have no idea what specie this was....
