A40: In fact I'd argue this was the worst type of loss for the Lakers. A game Rui and Rivers combined for 40. AD and Bron combined for 66 and you shot 45% from 3. Exactly. Its the type of loss that makes you complacent and start blabbing that you will win the next 4 of 5. You think Nuggets got #1 seed by luck? That they wont watch film to see how they can adjust? Lakers do have some advantages they can press, but Denver is essentially rock solid at home, so this is looking like 2-0 to me. |

Maynmann: After trailing over 20 points and only lost by 6, any competent analyst will know that something changed during the second half. Lakers is winning the next 3 games. Yes, and it can change again in Game 2 1st half, like it changed in game 1 second half. |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 11:18am On May 17, 2023 |
Maynmann: Every game is different doesn’t change the facts of what i said, jokic had over 10 rebounds in the first quarter with 4/5 being offensive. And I’m not the only one talking about the obvious. I watched the game and AD didn’t really play hard or spectacular before he got 40, no one could guard him like draymond to reduce his efficiency, he will still have another 40 points game in this series. whatever the lakers figured out in the second half, according to your poster, Nuggets have two days to figure out too. Or you think its like movie where one karate champion is beating 10 men and they are just watching him. Game 1 will have no bearing on game 2 Thats how know most analysts talk just to talk. After game 1, only 1 game and you have all this insight? Kukuma coach na |

Maynmann: I totally agree with the last part, i think loosing this game was not probably that bad, we now know the match up and most of their tactics, after trailing over 20 points we only lost by 6, i am sure if we had a good start(starting rui) we would have won. We winning the next 3 games!
And AD scoring 40 seems so easy, nuggets paint is easy and no one can guard him, he can keep dropping that everynight. every game is different. If Lakers carry your thinking into game 2, they will definitely lose |

Billion dollar leagues have images to protect and if Ja is determined to make himself a cautionary tale so be it.
He misses a 3rd of a season on average anyway so half season gives him more spare time. If you don't suspend him an entire season then don't suspend him at all. Any punishment that cannot serve as a deterrent is no punishment at all Unfortunately I cannot disagree with your logic. The league has a billion dollars to protect. If Ja wants to be a fool, so be it |

My worry for him is this gun he dey carry upandan for a degenerate place like Memphis one day some of these small small boys will come and test and see if he's really about that life. Then he will have to decide if he wants to be judged by 12 or carried by 6. Even worse if he's caught slipping.
He better watch it Season long might get him killed. He might just say the f* with this and self destruct. More like half a seasn, with strict monitoring |

Afromentalist: Shall we ignore the fact that the 4 remaining teams in 2023 and 2020 ( Bubble) are the same? So much for a mickey mouse ring. You have the 4 most disciplined teams. The type of discipline that helped them thrive in the bubble is on display again. Add to that no injury bug, you can see why they are the last 4 standing. And why players that played that playoffs say that bubble ring was mentally hard on the players. The isolation, no vegas trips, no strip club, meant only those who make thar ring #1 priority all playoffs were in final 4 in 2020. Imagine Harden asking to go to Vegas mid playoffs. Foolish behavior |

It is only fair that it comes down to a game 7. Celtics could have wrapped this up in 5, but they played with their food. Sixers shouldnt feel bad about game 6, it was more about celtics sucking than sixers playing brilliantly. Sixers never really played well in game 6

I never liked Marcus Smart. But he is the reason Celtics won this game. I cant remember celtics ever looking as defeated as they did today. Only Smart kept playing hard.
Finally with 5 mins left Tatum recovered enough courage to seal the deal. Look, if you are a superstar but cant handle bad reviews, best to stay off social media. Tatum looked lost the whole gamw |

A40: I almost feel like we've seen his last game with the Suns.
Something is wrong somewhere. It feels mental but he strikes me as someone with a low motor for an athlete at least, I'm sure it's much higher than most of us including myself, I'd say an even worse version of AD. In that AD is never useless defensively unlike Ayton that can be useless on both ends I think its worse than that. Dude is lazy. AD is unfocused, has some personality issues, and gets lost in games. Ayton has figured out a way to look like he is playing hard while mailing it in. Like KAT |

steady986: Bros you don't seem to get the point. Even LeBron has a poor record without AD. The tree cannot stand without it's root. Dray is not built to carry a team. Never has. Never will. But as a key piece in that GS system, there's no one better at that. And we haven’t seen Curry lead this team without Draymond either. They have been successful together. If this was all you said, no one would argue with you. But you made it sound like its a big 3 down in warriors land, when we clearly know it is not. |
