Shollypopz: D funny thing bitty is that a lot of Naija guys i know/meet here are very ambitious and extremely smart.
To be honest, I hear what ppl say about black men but I only see that in d AA community.
Every Naija guy here is attaining and fighting their way to d top. The guys here are like our motivation, always setting d bar so high.
In fact I find d girls struggling to meet them in caliber of internships, research,.....
I can hate on Naija guys for many reasons but I hv to admit Naija guys are very responsible and ambitious IMO

Naija guys in America need to be commended, but most of the ones in the UK are 'yahoozed' up, all they care about is driving nice cars, women, popping champs in the club, and wearing LV. I know a few are upright, but majority of them don't really go beyond BSc.

Viewing this topic based on the society I was raised in, I think men are to be blamed. Young men (esp. black men) need to start taking education/career seriously. And start thinking about their careers and how to attain a higher/better status in the society. There are many good and successful black women out there who're single - not because they've bad attitude/character but because their 'status' intimidates most men.

You can't blame a woman who's a barrister for wanting to get married to a barrister, or someone who has a higher status. Women have raised the 'bar', men need to do the same, by meeting them there, or strive to get higher than the 'bar'. No one wants to get married to someone who's below them - it's a new world!!

Career/education - I like that but you will end up scaring a lot of guys away when you get to the pinnacle of what you're trying to achieve. To be honest, it's difficult to find 'single' black men at the top, most corporations/companies in the West(I don't know about Nigeria/Africa) prefer black women to men. You need to get an ambitious bf now, and drag him to the top with you.

I see a lot of highly educated and successful women complain about lack of black men in their 'class', and the few ones there are either 'homo/weird', don't want to settle down, or married. I guess that's why most women are single.

Marriage isn't compulsory, anyway.

To be honest, not everyone is going to get married - and forcing 'marriage' down people's throat is the reason why the divorce rate is high. You need to find the right person to get married to, and in the world that we live in right now, that's the most difficult thing. Women run things right now, and they have raised the bar to a level, most men can't get to. Feminism changed the game - and women run things right now.

Blame the society and 'modernists' for this madness, because a lot of men are scared of getting married to women who will end up disrespecting them because of the new status women have in the modern world. The bar is too high for most men, and women aren't helping matters with their new found 'fame' in feminism.

In short, marriage needs to be re-defined!

Where are the stats to back up your assertion/hypothesis that the behaviour(s) is 'usually' and 'mostly', huh? People have different temperaments and adaptation traits. For example: I'm irrational, rude, uncouth etc. when I'm broke - and loving, caring, humble etc. when everything is going right for me. I know plenty of people who're also like that - and not everyone allows money/wealth to change them. And I can argue that some allow money/wealth to bring out the best in them.

The topic is alright, but the generalization in your post isn't true. Some guys are rude and belligerent when they're broke, because they're angry at the world - and they hate everything. But once they become financially comfortable, they end up being loving, caring, and more rational.

The older one also had to get the younger involved, just to rob the poor girl that was already drugged.
