It got me wondering how Wike is still a PDP member. Guy's been doing anti-party activities back to back, no one thought to section him. He is obviously bigger than the entire party and their rules.
If they sanction him who is there in the party that will feed those hungry ones in the party?
Who in the party will bring out their stolen funds 100% without having sleepless night that they may be overrun by others who did not bring anything?

We Igbos do not hate Bola Tinubu, we only want the best for Nigeria. We want Tinubu to lead Nigeria with honesty, sincerity of purpose and with zero corruption, nepotism and tribalism. If Tinubu does the right thing and makes Nigeria work, honestly I will become his first fan and praisesinger but don't expect me and other Igbos who cherish competence and merit to be praising Tinubu when he is failing just to make Yorubas happy, it doesn't work that way.

Well done Tinubu, please don't let this initiative be an audio one like some things you have embarked on in the past. Make it work, also hasten on the State Police, stop dragging your leg because of your selfish political interest undecided

I want to believe the your use of term "stack" means blocks with mortar mix are laid one on top another horizontally and vertically.
If that's the case then it's only advisable that one uses sharp sand and portalnd cement.

I hope you are not mixing it up.
The only time where clay is used in place of plastering sand or gum sand is when plastering works or rendering on walls is to be done.

PoliticsRe: Wike Reveals Plans To Withhold Area Councils' Allocation Over Teachers’ Strike by bixton(m): 5:39pm On May 13, 2025
Wallade:
Whichever way you wanna spin this discussion, you must recognize that there is no substitute for legal and corporate resolution. Every other solution, including withholding 10% allocation to the Area Councils, that are illegal and unconventional are unacceptable.

The current local government chairmen in Abuja - FCT will be out of office soon, this year. They will lose the case in court and with the sustained strike in place, they, or the new chairmen, will bow to the pressure eventually.

If I am in the shoes of the teachers, we will sustain the strike since it is out last resort.

In the shoes of the FCT Minister, I will continue to consult the Teachers Association and the group of Chairmen on the need to promptly and regularly pay the salaries of LG staff, minimum wage. The FCT minister can also consult with the new Chairmen once they get elected into office to ensure the outstanding bills on the Area Councils are paid promptly.
You have responded well.

I just did some findings.
Talks started December 2024 and for some reasons the teachers/union staged a walk out.
Officially this strike which is an indefinite one started March 2025 because when they received their February salaries the minimum wage was implemented by the LGA chairmen.

We were told that the LGA chairmen complained about money and the FCT Minister gave them whatever was their request as it concerns more funds to meet up the minimum wage implemention and payment. But the LGA chairmen all in collaboration thought otherwise.

For the FCT Minister to have resorted to withholding 10% now in May 2025 of the statutory funds it means which the Area Council Chairmen received extra funds when they complained and got same for the months of February, March and April. They all acted contrary not to pay the stipulated increase agreed.

Is that not a direct insult on the person of the FCT Minister who released such funds to them and as I perceive someone somewhere is trying a power play through the chairmen with the Minister!!!!!

Why do you think he would want to act as a mediator between the teachers and the Area Council Chairmen ?

The FCT LGA elections is already slated for February 2026.

At first it all started like it's the FCT Minister who does not want to pay the teachers till we were told they all fal within the jurisdiction of the Area Council Chairmen....

There are only 6 Area Council Chairmen in the FCT and they are all acting the same script. Don't you think something is really wrong and the Minister doesn't want to go down that lane with them but only wait till the expiration of their tenure.

INEC is prosecuting the professor for announcing fake results in support of Akpabio. Results which gave Akpabio victory and a senate seat. Yet the same INEC gave Akpabio a certificate of return. How does this make sense? Why was Akpabio's election not invalidated?

Secondly, do not pity any professor or indeed any member of ASUU. They are behind every rigging of elections in Nigeria. I have personally witnessed these professors and university staff change the results of a governorship election. This happened in the head collation centre located in a federal university. They were so blatant and unafraid.

Despite the presented evidence of rigging and massive allocations of votes, the supreme court still gave the sitting governor the election. That's when I gave up on our judiciary.

Even if you are so fanatical about Wike or any politician or you are on the payroll of any politician, common sense should guide your contributions on social media or in any platform where you have to communicate your position because people would assess you on the basis of your contributions and determine if you are sensible or otherwise.

Again, I emphasize that Wike's decision to Withhold 10% of funds due to the Area Councils is illegal and it must be communicated to him clearly.

You should not cut off the head because you want to cure headache for someone. Whatever is illegal is simply illegal and every attempt to justify illegality must be rebuffed.

Now, that FCT Minister wants to withhold the 10%, how does Wike intend to pay the Teachers? Does FCT Ministry have their payroll? Can FCT ministry debit accounts of teachers in Abuja and credit whatever account they put the 10%?

Withholding it is to put pressure on the Chairmen to pay the salaries (minimum wage), FCT ministry can't directly effect the payment legally.

If the FCT minister so much cares, it is only the court that can order an aggregate of the salary of Teachers and or Staff of the area councils and freeze it in the account of the area councils monthly and subsequently decide to pay the sum to the teachers upon a court order.

Please feel free to share with us, the loop hole in the law, that you said Wike is exploring to withhold the 10% allocation.

That bill is statutory payment under Area Councils (Local Government).

However, I can't completely fault Wike for toing this line of withholding 10% of fund due to Area Councils in Abuja.

Funds due to Area Councils should be remitted to Area councils not spent on their behalf.
Teachers went on strike in FCT and everyone is blaming PBAT and Wike.
Minister Wike has found a loophole in the law and is ensuring what is best so that the teachers are paid, we are here arguiywith what is right and what is not....

Do you not know that it's not the Ministers' right to repair those same schools and roads to those schools within those Area Councils but he does them !!!!

In this game with northerners, it was only Tinubu that was playing it against them, when he discovered the gut of Wike, he empowered him well, and that's what is happening. Those people have el-rufai, Kwankwaso even Tambuwal but who do south has? Oshiomole is old, Tinubu has pushed it to a point he needs someone younger, vibrant and more strategic which Wike possess. So that's the reason for alliance.
After 2027, we shall see the real game plan.
If not, the south will be overrun by this people without a single resistance, we will just be speaking English and typing on SM while they busy thudding the south.

It is well with us
This fight is an ideology one.
Wike knows it as well and was better enlightened when Tambuwal stepped down for Atiku during the PDP presidential primaries and afterwards Okowa was selected over Wike to be the running mate to Atiku.
Baba Osho is not that old per se. I just don't know where his ideology lies.
The politics in the South with Southerners is basically local politics, control and stomach infrastructure and not harnessing it's power to gain good control in national politics by doing what Tinubu has done over the years and Wike has been doing since they PDP was left for him to cater for when Atiku and Co left it for him to macro-micro manage and those who we all thought had weight are coming at Wike with all manner of arsenals and to no avail.
At this time in our politics Wike political sagacity should be a good thesis work.

Obviously, that is not in practice for now. That is the reason he can threaten to withdraw 10℅ of their allocation.

However, we must reprimand the Area Councils management, particularly the chairmen. Their attitude towards meeting financial obligations towards the teachers and education in Abuja is so sick and unacceptable
While the LGAC allocation is yet to be fully implemented as the various State Governors have somewhat not allowed the chairmen to open the account with the CBN that will allow the CBN pay directly into it.

Now, the 10% funds that the FCT Minister says he will withhold is the statutory funds which arises from the FCT IGR(Internally Generated Revenue) so that the committee he will set up will from that fund pay directly all the teachers affected by the non payment of salaries by the Area Council Chairmen.
So, it's within the powers of the Minister to do what he says he would do from that perspective.
I hope you now understand.

I only just pity the Area Council Chairmen. All of them underperforming will not be re-elected if they ever return again.

I think Goodluck Jonathan's selfish ambition was the root cause of the PDP's problems. Having spent 2 years out of the 4 years of Umar Yar'Adua's tenure plus another whole 4 years, Jonathan still insisted in running again for another 4 years even though, OBJ a southerner, has had 8 years on the seat while the North only had 2 years under Yar'Adua, do the maths, OBJ's 8 + GEJ's 6 equals 14 good years and GEJ still wanted more, the result of GEJ's greed led to the loss of power of the PDP at the centre. The core northerners felt cheated and agreived.
Only a fool would have expected PMB to lose the 2015 general elections under the newly formed APC going by the discontent within the PDP then which also led to the mass exodus of most of the major power brokers and big wigs of the PDP to the new alliance of the APC whose major aim was only to grab power, mismanage the economy and to continue to project falsehoods and nothing more.
Everything you talked about PGEJ na complete stories. If you think PGEJ seeking a second election is greed then you're completely mistaken.

The North ruled more when we were in military regime and the South did not complain whatsoever.

The death of President Yar'Adua was unfortunate but the constitution remains supreme.
If the President was a Southern and the VP from the North would the North agree to that which they wanted PGEJ to stick to ?

Still, I do not see anywhere in all the Bible verses you cited where it says not to swear by God’s name.
From all the verses, it would appear that the Bible is mostly concerned about false testimony, in other words swearing in vain with the name of God.
What is vain? This is a disrespectful or irrelevant rendering of Gods name. Usually, it pertains to worthless and false oath. Don’t claim what is not true in God’s name.
When you swear with Gods name, it should be declaration of truth, in something you have done or intend to do.
Have you considered why elected officials are sworn into office under oath- in the name of the God they worship?
I might be wrong but it’s my interpretation of the cited verses.
