Business / Re: Entrepreneurs: Born Or Made Or Lucky ? -lets Discuss by Bj5all(m): 2:02pm On Jun 03, 2015
entrepreneurs are not born, they are made. what made it seems so that entrepreneur are born is because most business men teach their children at a very tender age the rudiment of business. some of them are even recruited into the family business at a very tender age. when they grow up, all they see and think about is business. unlike the children of civil servants, they advice their children to work hard in school and get a good job with job security.
Both children think and see life differently. if u are from the second class of family, even when u have the money, making ur first transaction is like passing through the eyes of the needle.

But as Donald Trump will always say, making ur first 1 million is the hardest.

if not for the kind of job I got after School and the books I have read and still reading, nothing will have made me think of starting a business.

You have to make urself an entrepreneur.

taking medication for depression is like finding a temporary solution to a problem and worse still, it can create a bigger problem if u become drug dependent.

I will suggest u find a natural way to helped urself.

Depression is sometin we all pass through at one point or the other in life. And I can tell you its cause is basically rooted in the things we think of and say to ourselves.

I wouldn't know the cause of your depression but from ur inability to love, I can deduce u don't love urself and u use lots of negative words when communicating with urself (which might not be true)

if this is ur situation, then u have hope is living a hapi life. find the silver lining in every dark cloud and always find reasons to be hapi.

wish u the best

when u see a police man, u have to trend with caution. know when to shout, laugh and talk normal or even keep mute. those guys called NPF know notin about human right protection, know notin about human behaviour, very insensitive set of being. well few get sense but most have no brain. u can't differentiate them from agbero. I always see them with stick flogging taxi or bus.

ProffT01:

Good morning sir,
Pls, I've being following your comment on Contract lounge. I'm Solomon, like I wrote initially am a graduate of mechanical engineering technology. I registered a venture when I was serving. Since, then I've being roaming the streets from place to place, state to state.

Pls, help me to start up my journey as a supplier so that I can be able to engage some other youths in my locality.

I look forward hearing from you.
Thank you sir.

You have done well. Becoming and many good money as a fresh contractor takes a whole lot of determination, motivation and courage especially when you don't yet have a brand. i am not in any way trying to discourage you but telling you the task ahead of you demands a lot from you.
I would like to know your area of specialization, i can help you do market research and where your services are most needed.

Change and financial freedom is not an easy task at the beginning but the journey, the freedom and experiences are worth the sacrifice.

Never give up, at free time, read marketing and selling books. If you need e-copy, send me message through my mail: brightuwumarogie@gmail.com. All the best.

2. for companies u have done business with, b rest assured u are not the only contractor they use. some of their contractors are also prospects for your company.
You can ask the company for a referral, this is linking u up with other contractors or companies they do business with. This actually require some level of relationship between u and the company.
Advice: It's very important u build relationship with any company u do business with. it's very important. somedays u will need them and they might need u again for another contract. Don't be a 'hit and run' contractor. build rapport and gud relationship.
Business / Re: Nairaland Contractors Lounge by Bj5all(m): 5:13pm On Jan 17, 2015
This is an interesting thread and I am happy being part of it.
I work as a sales consultant for a multinational coy and I just want to add own contribution on networking and getting into to Company of ur choice and closing the Contract.

adding to what databoy has already said, the following can b an added knowledge:
1. for freshers whose cycle of influence are small and for those that want to increase their number of clients. u can take a day or two in a week and do good prospecting. As far as u have ur area of interest, mark out an industrialized area and tell urself that today I want to walk round and identify companies in this area that I can do business with. get urself dressed up, take ur catalog if necessary, com card and other things u think is necessary to convince a potential client and hit the field. You might b lucky to hit a gud lead, referral or even close a deal. We have made millions from this type of networking and still making money from it. Don't be scared to knock on doors of companies as far as u are not a fraud.
