Where is the charging network across the country? Even in the developed world, charging network are still patchy in many areas. The focus should be on gas which is readily available in large quantities. 1 Like |

Sorry but Nigerians are to blame for all this. They continue to elect bad leaders They continue to celebrate ill gotten wealth They continue to shun anything good and proper, and instead value short cuts and 'get rich quick' I have NO SYMPATHY for Nigerians. The day I see a Nigerian criticize his/her own Parents/Siblings/Friends for corruption, is the day I will know we have started being serious. Nigerians only complain when they are not the ones looting. The moment they or those close to them get into a position to loot, they will keep quiet and join the looting train 1 Like |

These moves have NOTHING to with Dangote refinery. Europe is moving away from fossil fuel. Oil firms are taking long term strategic decisions to align with this. |

Kobojunkieee:Are you really comparing China and Nigeria, China can afford to peg their currency, due to their massive trade balance with the US. Nigeria practically imports everything upto toothpicks, how can such a nation, with a massive demand for dollars, maintain an artificial rate? It's simply not possible. Nigerians need to face facts 1 Like |

Kobojunkieee:Dangote was just an exemple of those that gained from the former system. The bottom line is No nation can maintain an artificial value for its currency indefinitely. Sooner or later the currency needs to be allowed to find its true level. |
Politics / Re: Tinubu’s Naira Devaluation Worsens Cost Of Fuel Importation As Nigeria Spent N5T by bjdon: 4:19pm On Sep 12 |
I hold no brief for Tinubu or any other Nigerian politician, but let's please try and face facts. Tinubu did NOT devalue the niara. All he did was remove the fake 'official rate' that used to exist, which was nothing more than a CBN subsidized rate, that was only available for the likes of Dangote and co. Who on this platform ever got FX at the so called CBN rate? Nowhere in the world does that kind of nonsense exist. Tinubu has a LOT of faults, but at least he's facing a few of the issues that have held this nation back for so long. Sadly due to his own corruption and neopotic tendencies he will not be able to move the nation forward in any substantial way. |
Politics / Re: Back To School: Women, Children Struggle For Food, Transportation by bjdon: 2:28pm On Sep 12 |
The suffering many are experiencing os due to widespread rot in thr system. State and local governments allowed the primary and secondary schools to rot, due to corruption, hence the reason many people now need to pay private school fees. In the developed world its only the very rich that send kids to private schools. Nigeria has not been working for a long time. 1 Like |

VaginaAcademic:Very stupid statement. India sends rockets to space, has nuclear weapons and is a global leader in IT, that does not stop them have traditions. 31st October the whole nation will come to a halt to celebrate the Diwali festival. A people can have culture and traditions while also developing and being modern. You may have also noticed during the coronation of King Charles last year, there were some parts of the ceremony that were kept hidden. Even the British have there own ancient traditions and customs. 2 Likes |

GEJ is no fool. The same North that chased him out, now want to use him to unseat Tinubu. They go wait tire. The man has everything at the moment. He's internationally respected as a statesman, does not want for anything, why would he now come and help the same people who insulted him and chased him from office. Northerners always think they are smart, and they can find a greedy southerner to do their dirty work for them, this time have failed. It's either Tinubu or Obi in 2027. You will fined so called educated people defending Tinubu simply because of tribalism. Things were a fraction of this, when they came out to do 'occupy Nigeria' now they are all quiet. Soyinka, Bakare, Femi Kuti, Adeboye... all have gone quiet. How can so called intelligent people be so stupid? 3 Likes |

However bad it is now, just know it's going to get a LOT worse. The global economy is focused to slow next year, meaning a sharp reduction in crude prices. Nigeria US already effectively broke, and the situation will get a lot worse. My advice anyone who has access to secure land go into farming. 1 Like |

Tinubu does not need to rig. As long as the opposition is divided, and the notrh continues to refuse to support the SE, Tinubu is guaranteed a second term. If Atiku announces that he will not be contesting in 2027, then I'll know the opposition is serious. 2 Likes |

My Edo people please hear me well. You are NOT voting for Obaseki in this election. Weather Ighodalo wins or looses Obaseki is fine. The question you must all ask is 'Who do I want to be in charge of Edo state for next 4 years?' With the mess we have in Abuja, we can't afford a double disaster by having a waste pipe as governor in Edo. The APC guy is practically an illiterate, in a sane land a guy like should be nothing more than a ward councilor. Ighodalo and Akpata at least are educated people who can understand the complexities of govt. We know there are many people with regrets now for how they voted in the presidential elections last year. Please don't make the same mistake in Edo state. 1 Like |
